The business owner's feigned apology in an attempt to manage a negative review further illustrates the lack of integrity and covert toxicity I experienced here. Clearly that response posted was not meant for me, but rather a manipulative attempt to discredit and dismiss me. It was not a misunderstanding or an exception. Through my work as a mental health care provider, I've become pretty adept at picking up on intentions and understanding what's being communicated by taking in the totality of verbal and non-verbal communication, not to mention calling BS when someone is trying to deflect responsibility.
Weston is a small town, we tend to be able to communicate about what's going on in it pretty efficiently. While I will only speak about my experiences, this was not an exception, and there is absolutely no indication of any substantive "commitment" against this kind of gaslighting at the store.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

I apologize on behalf of everyone at Weston Eyecare. Please know that your situation was an exception, and there might be a little of language barrier. Emails time to time also end up at spam folders hidden from the main inbox. As you can see on other reviews, we are known for taking ownership and caring deeply about our customers. We can't fix the past but you have my personal commitment to improve the way our staff serves every customer. Until then, please accept my sincerest apologies on behalf of everyone on the team.

My glasses broke. I found a pair of Silhouette glasses I liked online and Weston Eye Care is an identified retailer on their website to "find a retailer." I emailed Weston Eye Care, explaining I'd like to try on 3 specific styles before purchasing new glasses, and was told that would be fine, but they need me to come to the store to get measurements. I get to the store, and then ... Vlad...
When I arrived, I asked if he was the person I had been emailing. At first he told me yes. Then he gave me 3 different frames other than the ones I requested and told me to try them on. I did, and thanked him but am still interested in the ones I emailed. He then said I'd have to write the names down and he'd call me if he is able to get the frames shipped. I told him that I had emailed all the specific information already, but I didn't have service in the store, so asked if he was able to pull up the emails where I had provided the info.
He then told me that he had not received my email, which I remembered I sent last Thursday so could use that to find it. When he found my email on that day, he said that the email couldn't possibly be from me because there is one from "an Asian lady, who looks different than you. Someone Chinese, or Japanese or something." At which point I told him my name sounds Chinese because I am half Chinese. His response: "Yeah, I mean, that's OK." Then he paraphrased my email saying "you said you were on the website, and I said we can do that, but there is no mention of what frame you want. You just said you were on the website and were looking for something. That's what your email said." I went into Weston Eye Care for the first time to look at frames for new glasses. The selection was so nice. I originally thought I wanted frameless glasses because they are so lightweight, but frameless did not look great on me. The sales associate Victoria helped me greatly by recommending that I try on several styles based on the style I had hoped to see myself in (for reading glasses). The pair I chose from Modo was in a terrific red-violet tortoise color at the front and a red-violet titanium frame. They are lightweight and beautiful and look really nice. Thank you to Victoria for making my experience so great!

Terrible customer service. The owner is cheap, tried to sell eyeglasses nose pads for $25 when others give it for free when you buy an expansive pair of glasses. Just a cheap guy, unprofessional.

The service you get at this eyeglass shop is perfect. You can spend time choosing what is the perfect frame for your face. The quality is top notch from the lenses to the frames. I highly recommend this should be an eyeglass store to visit and shop at!!

I work in the area and called because I was having trouble with a lens replacement for my prescription frames. I didn't know what to expect for such a small service but was hoping that I could get some help without having to buy a repair kit, struggle to fix myself, and end up going to a professional anyhow.
Weston EyeCare was very helpful on the phone and when I arrived later that afternoon, were able to assist perfectly. I hate relying on services for these kinds of tasks but the only thing that makes those situations worse is when the person you've gone to for help makes it clear that they aren't happy about assisting with such a mundane task. Here I was greeted and serviced tremendously and not made to feel like a burden, despite not arriving with any intention to make a big purchase.
I typically go through corporate sites to purchase lenses and frames but fully expect to return here when I have a more significant need as the personal touch is very much appreciated and valuable to my experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I'll start off by saying Dr. Zhou seems like a great doctor. He was very thorough with my exam and I wound up with a contacts prescription that works much better for me than ones I've had before.
Unfortunately, I have to give give a one star review, however, because the people in this business do not understand how to read and bill for insurance benefits. If you come here expect to pay out of pocket for things your insurance covers. And if you go in and explain to them how they've billed you incorrectly expect them to put up a fight and insist they were correct. We've been using this same insurance for years and they're telling us it works differently that every other provider we've been to. I even called my insurance to triple check. When I called back to explain once again that he was wrong and my insurance confirmed it he finally accepted and asked me if I wanted to come back and pick up my order. If you don't know what people's benefits are how can you be billing them at all? And they are in in-network provider for this insurance!
If you've gone here and used insurance there's a very good chance you payed hundreds of dollars out of pocket that you shouldn't have paid.

They go out of their way to make sure I am happy, no matter what it takes. Once, after my prescription changed, I put new lenses in an older frame I had purchased from them . Shortly thereafter, I broke the frame. Even though it had been discontinued years earlier, they chased down the distributor and found me the last pair! Awesome service.
