I agree with all previous reviews attesting to the rude, unprofessional attitude of their agents. Was viewing an apartment as a potential tenant and asked about maintenance turnaround time since they're the ones managing the property. The response I received was "it depends" with no further elaboration.
When I tried to get more information asking scenarios such as a broken toilet seat or sink issues to get a better sense of what their time window looks like, I received the sharp reply from the agent, Jacob: "I'm not going to stand here and engage with you in hypothetical made-up scenarios. It depends."
I had only asked a routine question, of which I've always received a civil response and some of them quite thorough. Even something along the lines of: it depends, but we try to do so in a timely manner, would have suffice. At the end of the day, I was only looking for reassurance that this company will do right by their tenants. Instead, I received that disparaging and evasive reply.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 20, 2017Updated review
I lived in the same unit for 10 years. In the entire decade I lived there, I have had 3 major things go wrong. 1) dishwasher broke and stopped working. 2) My washer broke and flooded the laundry room. 3) My ceiling in the bathroom caved in after a heavy rain and the roof had not been fixed appropriately.
For all of these issues, I was told to contact the landlord. No help at all were given to me by W&P. As the property management, I should have been able to ask W&P to assist me in getting these issues fixed, but all I got was nothing (no return call or emails until weeks later) or the "call the landlord to fix it".
I will say it again, I am not sure why my landlord pays them, seeing that I didnt even send them the rent check.
Poor service, rude attitude and overall lack of help.
I am envious of those who had great experiences, because my 10 years certainly didn't show any level of service.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 25, 2012Previous reviewNot sure how I feel about these guys.Sometimes they are "ok", sometimes I want to scream at them.
I am not sure why my landlord pays them to manage his properties because every time I have called their office I have gotten pretty poor service with a hefty side of attitude(it has been with a couple of different people). Why list a number ON YOUR WEBSITE that isn't useful to me and then talk to me like I am the one who did something wrong? Perhaps you should list contact numbers that are useful for the tenants who need to reach the appropriate people.
The guy that actually manages my unit seems ok and is friendly (really I have had to call him maybe 5 times over the last few years), but is hard to reach sometimes which makes it challenging to deal with things as a tenant.
The jury is still out on them, but word on the street from other renters I know all over the city is filled with less than rave reviews. - Dachi Z.CA, CA1131Apr 30, 2019Updated review
This women is completely unprofessional. She has no idea how big the home she is selling. She argues with clients and is two faced. She smiles and tries to make small talk but when she's faced with a tough question she can't even admit she doesn't know but decides to blame the company not herself ! Terrible agent !

In America if your an agent, that's the basic information you need. She also sarcastically said she can give us a ruler to measure it. I'd like to see her get on all floors and measure the location. Disappointing that she mentioned the company is a small company. She forced us to write our names down , I also told her that I wrote a fake name. What's up with your agents ?

Incompetent property managers who send rude email blasts to tenants (like don't clog the toilet if you do its your fault with your body go see a doctor) and they don't don't even have a system to pay online!!m
Only saving grace was due to the incompetency the move out inspection took ten seconds and I got my full delist back (which I should have anyway for the spotless apartment)! Yay!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tommy M.San Francisco, CA08Jul 12, 2020
Out of all the property management companies we've dealt with in SF, WP is by far the best. Jacob was always professional and whenever we had an issue, quickly responded. They didn't nitpick when we did the walk through and gave us our full deposit back within a week. Highly recommend.

I can't even give these guys a star.
Their prices are way out of line, they hire managers that don't know a thing about real estate or how to manage and they hire unqualified relatives to do home improvments. Unless youn are willing tro do all the footwork and the leg work for them DO NOT use this agencyHelpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sue U.Costa Mesa, CA521791Jun 30, 2010
As a tenant, it makes all the difference in the world when the landlord makes an effort to keep you happy in your apartment.
Michael Klestoff is my landlord with West and Prasker and he is awesome. He is very responsive to phone calls and email and if I need anything fixed, it happens the next day. Once, I got locked out and he met me at the W&P office with a key within minutes after I called.
I have lived in my apartment for 3 years and love that my building accepts pets without any hassles and I appreciate that my hard-earned money is going to somebody who takes care of business.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Susan M.San Francisco, CA010Jul 5, 2009
We bought our place in 2006 and worked with Tanya & Kathleen who were absolutely amazing! They worked closely with us every step of the way and understood exactly what we needed. At the height of the real estate market, they made our first time home buying experience AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend them to anyone!
