Searched for a home cooked meal. Disappointed because they were not open even though hours posted and no answer on the phone

Just finished rafting and Jake, our guide recommended Water Street Cafe. What a gem!
The pepperoni rolls are ridiculously delicious, we had to go back and order more and they are worth any wait you may be told. Sooooo good.
The nachos are stellar, the pulled pork is fantastic. The cupcakes are such a sweet treat. The staff/owners are beyond kind and helpful. This place is such a sweet retreat, such a hidden gem and our group highly recommends making this stop!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nicole F.South Lake Tahoe, CA34572Jul 11, 2021
Stopped here on a road trip across the country and it may be one of my favorite pit stops. Chris and his dog Fluffy were so welcoming and fun to talk to. Their coffee was certified B fair trade so worth the stop even if just for the caffeine. Their veggie burritos were fabulous and their ingredientes and farm fresh and the salsa... oh the salsa!! Just all around a wonderful highlight of Maryland!

Hours are not consistent, went there twice during Spring Break week- closed both times. Never answers phone. Known for breakfast burritos but yet not open for breakfast.

So so sad And I know I would've loved this place, but they need to definitely change their Hours. I was driving to DC, on a road trip and was so excited I wanted to post about it on my blog, about this cute little place in Friendsville Maryland that I found!
It said it was open so I stopped by, no one was there, I tried to call a couple times and was hung up on. :) it's ok. Just need to change times so people don't get their hopes up XoxoHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ellis H.Acworth, GA061Jul 6, 2019
3 Lil Pigs breakfast burrito: game changer. No burrito compares, and I'm forever ruined.

We were in town to ski at Wisp and had to try this place. They're normally not open on Mondays, but we lucked out because of the holiday and boy were we glad that they did. The breakfast burrito was AMAZING. I've never had one so tasty and having the tortilla toasted is what won it over for me. It all was very fresh.
Chris was so friendly, as well as his pup. The decor was nice and eclectic without being gaudy. We're going to be making this one of our regular stops from now on anytime we head this way. Thanks!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 16, 2015
Chris, the owner, is a one man show serving very tasty food such as chili, beef stroganoff, breakfasts, and pizza. The beef was top notch and my buddy rated it one of the better stroganoff dishes he's had. The building is nostalgic and is next to a river. In summer they must be busy feeding trout fisherman.

Fantastic food and great prices!!
If you're anywhere near Friendsville, say traveling on your way to Deep Creek, you MUST stop here. The owner, Chris, is very friendly, a great cook and a wealth of local knowledge.
We found the cafe on Yelp and called to find out what time they served breakfast until. The owner responded, "I think I've got some eggs, come on over." While I know that's not the standard answer you would expect, I appreciated the authenticity.
The breakfast burrito was PHENOMENAL and we ended up staying 3 or 4 hours chit-chatting with Chris and other locals. We had planned for a quick breakfast, but ended up getting soup, lunch and dessert as well.
Everything here will be delicious - the pepperoni rolls are a crowd favorite.
If you're looking for a place to unwind, the coffee is fresh and there are giant windows that look out at the river.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
