    • Q:

Some say guest parking is free, some say it is about $20 per night? Which one is correct?

      A:

The hotel does currently charge $23/Night for Valet parking (as of August 2017) and is the only parking option, unless you use their complimentary vehicle charging stations.

We've stayed here twice in the last month. James checked us in the first time and he was extremely polite and professional. The valet staff, both times, have been wonderful! Every single valet staff we've dealt with has been helpful, friendly, and always with a smile.

The hotel is conveniently located and has a nice, plentiful breakfast buffet. The rooms are clean.

This is a bit of an outdated Marriott Property with some oddities to it.

      1. Parking - There is no self parking at this Marriott, so you will have to use the valet ($30/night plus tips) and pay for it on top of your hotel stay. There are in and out privileges and the valet staff do try their best to handle the volume of cars that go in and out. My issue isn't the staff, but rather the infrastructure that make everyones' lives a bit harder. At times so busy, you'll have to give yourself at least 20 minutes to get your car and to even drop it off. Sometimes you can't call ahead to have them pull up your car because they are so busy. On a Saturday night, there was a line into the street from the entrance of the hotel that looked more like an in and out drive through line to drop off your car. You may be able to find street parking, but it's not fun walking through the busy streets of Walnut Creek to your hotel room.

      2. The hotel's shape leads to oddly shaped rooms. We stayed in a room that had the bed in a weird corner with a very small window. The room was dark and lit with fluorescent white lights. The bathroom was outdated (some rooms had renovations already), but not this one. The hallway was also a bit dark and nasty too.

This hotel felt very off brand for Marriott. I stayed using my Bonvoy points and if I had to pay over $250 a night, it would have been a big disappointment. The location in Walnut Creek was convenient, but next time we're in the area we'll have to look for other accommodations.

We usually stay in the Residence Inn when in Walnut Creek. However this one has two beds not a pull out so it's better for families so we decided to try it!

It is a little dated - I used to work on Main Street right across the way over 20 years ago and it still looks the same! The room had been remodeled but curiously the bathroom had not and was in dire need of a refresh with grubby grout and a shower that ran really cold or really cold with no in-between.

Rooms are clean enough and were cleaned early each day which I appreciated thought ours were oddly sparse with a large empty area which was great for suitcases but had no seats at all! And the cupboard door is also the bathroom door which was a little odd.

Decent enough breakfast lounge with waters, soft drinks and coffees available all day. Valet parking is $30 a day though you might be able to find street parking nearby!

Though dated it was comfortable, quiet and this will be our new hotel when back in WC!

Hotel violates ADA guidelines by not having disabled parking spaces available. This happened 3 days in a row. Parking is $30/night and there's no self parking, so you're forced to valet (where tips are expected). Hotel is old, dusty and lacks attentive staff.

Food and snack options are abysmal. Snacks are insanely expensive. $10 for an cliff bar and Red Bull is robbery.

      Great hotel, and amazing location!

      The hotel was:
      -clean
      -customer service was amazing
      -room was spacious
      -comfy couch in the room
      -great shower head
-Did I mention how great the customer service is?

I asked for a late checkout, and this was the first time that housekeeping didn't knock early in the morning or at all. Definitely respected the late Checkout time.

They have valet parking, and valet parking only. Which is my only grip. Even though the valet was nice, it's a slight grip that the $30 valet parking per car felt forced.

Otherwise I really liked it here.

This hotel has somewhat of a confusing layout for the garage once you enter, a bit of a maze. But once you get that taken care of, the hotel is pretty nice and meets all standards for a pleasant stay. Great setting and location in Walnut Creek, huge lobby with lots of shared space including a bar area (bar closes on 10pm), breakfast area, lounge seating, and a gift shop filled with snacks (ie. chips, nuts, chocolate) and miscellaneous travel items (playing cards, tylenol, etc.).

The king room was immaculate with clean, comfortable bedding, beautiful hardwood floors, a good sized flat screen TV that you can log in and connect to Youtube and other apps, all necessary amenities in the bathroom, mini fridge, and spacious lounge/window seating that stretched from wall to wall. I really loved the simple, chic decor in the room. The shared ice machine and microwave are availabile outside of the guest room, in the hallway of the floor. By the way, the ice bucket is hidden inside one of the drawers near the TV in the room. There's also a pool on site, that's heated when it's cold outside.

Check in was easy, no wait. And everything was in working order during my stay. Overall, had a good experience.

Spent a weekend here celebrating an anniversary and it exceeded expectations. Saw some not-so-great reviews so I decided to add my own.

From the moment we checked in, staff was kind and accommodating. James at the front desk especially! Valet was always quick and the guys were always nice as we came and went. (It is $30/night though!) Our room was clean, as was the bathroom and the bed was comfy. Those blackout curtains work almost too well LOL. We had a small issue with the curtains not opening/closing on the second day, mentioned it to the front desk as we headed out, and upon our return to the room maybe a few hrs later, it was fixed. Super appreciate that.

The night before we left, we decided to eat at the hotel for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! Portions were great for the price and the food was good! I had a caesar salad and my partner had a sandwich with garlic fries - the fries were sooo good, no joke. Our waiter that night was also incredible, thank you Cesar!

All and all, I have nothing but good things to say about my stay here. It's super close to the downtown Walnut Creek area with plenty of food and shopping.

One more thing - the Chevron mini-mart right next to the hotel is great for picking up snacks/drinks for your room if you don't want to spend $4 for a soda or chips in the hotel.

Marriott Walnut Ceeek unlike most Marriott Hotels was terrible.

Dining was good, food was good, bartender was awesome but Fron desk and Manager should be fired or at a minimum some trading customer first, and customer satisfaction, and professionalism.

Front desk and General Manager Eliana are very unprofessional, rude, and charged me twice for same room. When I tried to explain I already paid for rooms on Expedia they said I have to provide additional proof other than my receipt from Expedia and Marriotts confirmation?

Marriott got me for an additional nights stay.

I would rather stay in Napa Marriott and drive an extra 45 minutes from Napa to Oakland than deal with the unprofessional, ride management and staff at Marriott Walnut Creek

      This is unbelievable.
