i travel with a service dog. I can not go places without her. They used to challenge me all the time, which was embarrassing. Now they went the opposite and of the spectrum. this is a super Walmart, meaning they have groceries. PETS are not allowed, yet Now I see many little dogs in carts. this is unsanitary. No real service animal will ever be in a cart. Yesterday, I saw a dog with a fake service vest in a stroller. Per people who buy vests on Amazon so they can bing, these pets are making things bad for those who need a service animal.

      Walmart y'all are failing.
Sunday 1:40pm lines so long I couldn't count the number of customers waiting in all self and full service registers.
So I headed to the electronics dept hoping to get into a reasonable line. FOUND IT!
Just one person In front of me.
Waited a good 5min to check out.
When I'm promoted to pay I wip out my phone to tap ...WALMART DOES NOT ACCEPT PHONE TAP IN THE YEAR 2024!

A TRIP, THE STRESS OF NAVIGATING THE CLUSTER FUG INSIDE STORE, WAITING IN LINE ALL WASTED FOR NOTHING.

Amazon is going to eat you alive if you don't address these basic, ongoing issues.

      3 check-ins

My first visit to this particular, Walmart came deep in Covid lockdown. The place was more than half empty entire sections were shopped out. Service was lame. It's weird when all the self checkouts are closed and you're forced to use a human.

Back on that first visit, the fresh food was scary enough that I didn't buy any. The dry goods were relatively overpriced, scarce and most of the products were poorly suited for my dietary needs.

What a change since then. This time the shelves were fully stocked there was reasonable selection but unfortunately I've had enough scarring from my memories of the last visit that I didn't even look at the fresh foods.

I went shopping for the usual expendables, restroom and laundry supplies. The comparison of prices of these items Walmart versus Amazon shows they're actually kind of neck and neck. Amazon has more high end goods of course but Walmart covers the basics at a reasonably low price assuming you're willing to use the Great Value (Walmart) brand.

This time the checkouts were all open and working at full capacity. I've never actually seen a store where the self checkouts were completely backed up.

Overall, I have recovered enough from the last miserable experience, then I'm willing to shop the Walmart for the lowest cost, generic products that I am willing to put up with. that would include generic all purpose, cleaners but not toilet cleansers because I care about the cleanliness of my toilet. In other words, Walmart has climbed up from negative stars all the way to two stars.

I've paid several trips since I wrote this. Overall, hardware (plumbing, electrical) was reasonable if you just wanted a small quantity of the most basic items.

I also needed cleaning supplies and garbage cans. Sadly, selection of septic tank supplies was limited. Really limited. In some categories non- existent. As for garbage cans, I prefer white and apparently so does everyone else because they only had black in the most useful sizes.

Even fully stocked the fresh foods are a problem.'Too many products that are medically not allowed. Not a great place for those with special diets. That leaves the fresh produce. This was a draw. Some items were fresh and full flavored. Others were fresh but bland and flavorless. There are plenty of groceries where quality is more consistent. Unfortunately, this section is most useful for items you forgot to pick up elsewhere.

The store layout is a bit odd. Even with the app pointing you to the location, it can be quite tedious .

They have a long way to go.

I've been here 5 (five) times within the last few weeks and every time I push the button for service, nobody shows up to open the glass case.

I finally decided to purchase through Amazon. It was cheaper and delivered to my doorstep.

Didn't have to waste time and money.

Moving forward, anything enclosed in a glass case, just buy online.

Also, scan items on the Walmart app. Items on app are almost always cheaper. Show the cashier and get them to price override

I don't recommend the curbside pick up feature here. Guaranteed a 20-60 minute wait in which case you're better off going inside and just shopping. Also, if you want an item that's in a locked case... god speed. There is no one there to help you and the person that you finally flag down doesn't have the keys and is in no hurry to find who has them.

I use Walmart+ and have been a customer for a long time. I will NO LONGER be going to or using any service that WalMart has to offer. It is common knowledge that it is quantity over quality when shopping at WalMart (both online and in person) and I have always been Ok knowing that it is my choice to shop there...BUT KEEPING CUSTOMER PRODUCTS/MONEY is NOT OK!!

I had to go to the store myself to pick up the items that were supposed to be delivered..$449.00 worth of items because we just got into a new house. They wouldn't give me the items that I had purchased that were sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME at customer service. I started calling customer service right then and have now talked to 5 different people who have all said they "escalated" my issue. I had to repurchase the items and spent $900.00 in one day on a double order and they WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!! I am done and recommend you double thinking trusting the WalMart system even though the prices make it seems worth it. Lesson learned for me!!

      THEIVES!!!!

This Walmart services and provides for a large number of people in the American Canyon area. But the logistical aspect of the production process is horrible and also the check out is the worst. Take for instants they have 25 self checkouts and 11 of them are not in service or working. If this store is going to use that as their main source of check out there needs to be at least 80 to 75% it seems like this store is being used as a test van, or a new pilot program at the Walmart industries. Time to implement the family customer perspective it is not working at all.

Check out it's not being used

To the manager or whoever supervises the lady name LUZ:

Today 12/08/23 at 8:00 pm, LUZ was training this lady named Anna when we were in line waiting to checkout at her stand. After 30 mins of Anna trying to ring up the person before us, my mom kindly asked the LUZ lady to help Anna speed up a little bit because it's already 8:30 and she's barely half way through with the groceries. LUZ ignored my mom and only responded to the person before us, smirkingly said, "we get costumers complain like that all the time. It's all good" My mom didn't say anything after that but then when we were almost done with checking out, LUZ had the audacity to tell my mom to specifically "speak English only" when the whole time she was loudly speaking Tagalog to Anna. I understand that Anna was being trained and will take some time to ring up costumers but for LUZ to be racist to my mom like that, it is unacceptable. Does Walmart hiring racist people now? Is that what the company stands for?

LUZ had no costumer service, gave us attitude and being unapologetic after the incident. She pretended to call someone and then threatened to have us kicked out. I wished I could have taken a picture of her.

The person named LUZ (she walked away after being extremely racist to my mom) who trained this lady in the picture today.

This place was conveniently located in the hotel area we were staying and made it a great place to pick up a few essentials we were missing. We went in the early morning so can't say how busy it is during the day.

On the way by the Walmart American Canyon I realized that I needed a couple things that most likely would have been sky high price wise at the hotel which we were staying at.

I think that this is probably the largest Walmart that I'd ever been in. The people working there were super nice and were able to point me to where I needed to go to pick up what I needed.
