Waited a while to go to this place, but was consistently recommended to go there! Our served Leslie was one of our top highlights of our visit, greeting us with a beautiful smile, she was so helpful and personable. She made some excellent suggestions for us about some menu items as well as the daily drink deal that they had going on. All staff should be like Leslie!

Onto the food and drinks, my fiance and I indulged in some dirty martinis with bleu cheese stuffed olives (yum!) and these were made perfectly. We always like to have them lightly dirty, if you know what I mean.

The food left us with happy bellies and plentiful sized portions really helped us get a bang for our buck. Some of the appetizers that we were blessed with were the Hot Crab Dip (10/10 recommend that), which I was practically able to spoon feed myself, Flash-Fried Calamari, also delicious and the squid was at a desired consistency, and lastly we were offered a special appetizer. This appetizer was tempura cauliflower with a kung pao like glaze. Leslie suggested we try this because they were out of the last appetizer we wanted, which were the thai chicken skewers. She was super rad for that!

For our entree's we had two different salads, I had the Thai Chicken Salad and he had the Grilled Chicken Spinach salad. All ingredients in the salads were fresh and had us feeling satisfied and a little better about ourselves after all of the flavorful appetizers that we devoured.

The inside of the place was truly like a tavern and the lighting was lovely as well, at our dining table we had a little personal light above the table, which I believe made our date night a little more romantic.

      Would definitely return here!

The prime rib (the primary reason I was there) was delicious, albeit a little salty. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones who received a slice towards the end of the roast. The rice pilaf and au jus were tasty. The green beans tasted like green beans. I like the ambiance in the bar area.

What added joy to my experience was the bartender (for the life of me I can't remember her name and it disappoints me because I thought I'd written my review while I was at the restaurant but I must not have saved it or I forgot to hit the "post review" button.

Anyway, she was so warm and welcoming. I wanted to try a different chardonnay and she offered me a sample of one. I ended up going with my tried-and-true Kendall Jackson to complete a wonderful meal.

I'm looking forward to going back to try a few of their VT-specific dishes and hopefully upgrade my review to 5 stars.

Love VT! The food is always spot on and consistent. The French onion soup is so flavorful and full of cheese. My other favorite is their cheeseburger. I don't know what they do but it always tastes great

Always great service and a fun atmosphere. A staple to have in your back pocket. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu

Casual dining restaurant great for couples, families and group gatherings. They have a variety of options on the menu to
Include vegetarian choices as well. The service was nice and the pace is the food being served was good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The collard greens needed vinegar but the top meal was the crab cake. We also had chicken skewers which were good but they got eaten before i could photo them.

      We love coming here!
Such a beautiful place to eat and relax. The food- all of it- is always delicious.
Recently we visited for some appetizers, got the tuna and the crab dip and ahhhhh they are making my mouth water even now. So good. So well prepared.

The detail in quality and cook on everything we have here is always amazing. But the service is what really pushes this place over for me. The waiter we had most recently was kind, attentive to detail, personable, and we had great conversations with him.

The drinks were well made and balanced!

The fire place and plants and decor are all so homey, and there is that subtle elegance and everything is always so clean. One of my favorite places to eat! It's definitely more spendy and saved for special occasions for us- but it's always worth it.

Excellent brunch spot! They have some of the best burgers and the shrimp and grits are on point. Rocky service on our last visit, but they did respond well and made everything right.

It was just as I remembered it more than 20 years ago as a student at Wake Forest. I was shocked to be seated so quickly during peak dining hours on a Friday night.

Hubby and I were seated on the back side of the fireplace which was perfect on one of the coldest nights of the year so far.

Wendy was the absolute best server we could have had. She was so attentive to us and bubbly. Definitely ask for her.

As a student, I would always get the hot crab dip so it was a must. It tasted the exact same as I remembered! The dip is super creamy and rich, filled with the sweetest crab meat and accompanied by buttery toast. Forget your diet on this one and it's worth it. I had that and spring rolls as my dinner. The spring rolls are really tasty and come with three dipping sauces. The sweet chili Thai was my personal favorite with a perfect blend of sweet and heat.

I also had Quilt Cabernet which did not disappoint.

Please check out this spot if you're in the Winston-Salem area for whatever reason.

Over the years I've eaten at all 3 Triad locations of the NC based upscale dining chain headquartered here. Whether you are looking for a relaxing lunch, an upscale dinner options with a varied menu and nice bar choices, or an interesting brunch with contemporary dishes as well classic breakfast comfort food, this spot will meet your needs!

My favorites here are: Fish & Chips, Prime Rib, French Onion Soup, Calamari, and Clam Chowder - but there is little here that you'll go wrong ordering.

This location, especially the bar area, doesn't have the old school comfort of the original spot in Reynolda, nor the more relaxed atmosphere of the one in Greensboro - not that this is an unpleasant experience.

The food here is certainly not inexpensive, but the consistent quality somewhat negates the price and the less than robust portion sizes.

My friend and I had lunch here and it was okay. I ended up having two mimosas and the crab cake sandwich. The service was really good, I just did not care for the sandwich. The crab was good but the house-made tartar sauce was what I did not enjoy. The menu is large so I would return to try other entrees if I'm in the area again.

As usual I had an outstanding dinner. I always sit at the bar and there were two tenders I've never seen before but did an awesome job. It was a very busy night with people standing waiting to be seated and my food came out as soon as I finished my salad.

I have never had a bad experience here. The food is delicious, the service is always too tier, and they are always busy. Even on the busiest nights my food still is delivered to me so quickly.

Tonight I started with the wedge salad which was perfect. And for my main I ordered the Dt. Louis style ribs. They were fall off the bone, delicious. Served with traditional mayonnaise based cole slaw and French fries. It was fantastic and I will continue to come back to Village Tavern.
