Great value for breakfast food. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Omelet with mushrooms and I was very pleased with the quality for only $8; the service was speedy and the waiter was cordial. My friend ordered the Greek Omelet with asparagus and feta and it looked great, he said it was a good choice. I liked the small, mom-and-pop vibe of the restaurant; I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice sit down breakfast while at Liberty Mountain Resort.

Very good breakfast and lunch. It is a real mom and pop place. Many locals gather there daily. I think open 6am until 2pm. Friendly staff.

So happy to have run across the perfect breakfast spot in a beautiful small town! Sat at the counter and got great service and delicious food. Everything was yummy, the scrapple was perfectly cooked and the apple walnut bread was so good I asked for the recipe (it's a secret).

This quant restaurant is great and the breakfast food if fantastic. Love to do the steak and eggs. Nice size breakfast steak. Their breakfast potatoes are really good and you get a good portion. Any time I'm close I will stop and enjoy. Most customers I have had good conversations with.

Smelled amazing but no one was willing to help us. We told the waitress we'd like to place an order to go and she just walked off. She didn't bring menus (we couldn't find any ourselves) and she told a customer waiting to pay that she was "frustrated" and looked over at us. We continued to stand there for quite some time until we gave up and walked out.
We hope to try again another day since today was not our day to get breakfast there. I'm looking forward to updating this review after a wonderful experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan G.Long Beach, CA11620Aug 2, 2022
We ate here once and because it was so good we came back again. Delightful little place full of charm. Reminded me of the bookstore in You Got Mail called Shop Around The Coerner. I had the Vegetable Omelette and the Southwest Omelette. Both were excellent. Don't be in a hurry here - enjoy the efficient and friendly service and atmosphere.

This is a small neighborhood restaurant where my group of 3 had breakfast on two visits during a recent stay in Fairfield. We had no problem being seated on either Friday or Saturday morning.
Menu had standard offerings at good prices. Our food arrived promptly and was very satisfactory.
Seemed customary for the waitress to keep the check/s until she cashed us out at the register and we tipped her at that time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dominic D.Fairborn, OH5484162May 9, 2019
Neat mom and pop place. Stopped by because of the yelp review.
Definitely a small place with lots of locals. Not a lot of seating which isn't a bad thing. The staff was helpful and definitely point out some great food.
I had the house sandwich. Definitely comfort food. The portion was perfect and would come back just for just that.

The home fries were cooked perfectly. The ham and bacon were really good too. Hot cakes were 7/10.
Small local place. Very wise decision to stop for breakfast on way to Gettysburg. Would definitely eat there again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Denise K.Washington, PA011Feb 17, 2021
For an outstanding breakfast, cozy and quaint atmosphere and spectacular customer service, you MUST visit The Village Book and Table. Best French Toast in PA. Just like Mom used to make. This is a must visit restaurant (more than once) anytime we visit Gettysburg!!!!
