This is not part if the Villa Rosa empire from Yardley PA, as it changed hands sometime in the past few years, although the name and design are the same.
There are two operations here sharing a common kitchen. On the right is a pizza parlor with booths and small tables doing a slice, sandwich and takeout business, while on the left is a more formal dining room with similar menu and more comfort. Service is easily bilingual, and muy amable.
I stopped in for a light dinner and opted for the parlor side as I know I didn't want a full meal, nor the attendant cost of table service. An eggplant parmesan on torpedo roll would do nicely, thank you. And it did. Very thin sliced melanzone sauteed to a soft textured in an olive oiled pan and lowered into the valley of a cut roll, with mozza and red gravy on top, and a final melt down in the pizza oven.
The taste was right, but it would have been better if the cheese and sauce had been layered in with the eggplant. Without that, much of the middle was somewhat dry and monotonal, lacking the mix of tomato, garlic, salt and basil throughout to bring up the flavor. I tend to deconstruct these beauties and eat the contents with knife and fork to reduce carb intake. If the bread is exceptional, I will eat some of it as well. In this case I consumed half of it, meaning it was pretty good.
Based on my experience, I think the chef knows the recipes and techniques, but may lack the savior faire to realize that the ingredients need to interact more.Helpful 25Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - Joshua D.NJ, NJ05Jul 17, 2022
Good pizza. Fancy and clean building. Friendly staff. I personally like the Personal Pizza.

Came for pizza after picking up something at CVS. Staying at the hotel down the street. Easy and delicious love that you can get pizza by the slice we do not have that where I live. I like the separation pizza from the fancier sit down restaurant I felt very comfortable alone eating my slice. Highly recommend!

Nice little place in a strip mall in Ewing. There is two sides to this place. One side is a quick pizza shop and the other side is a table service dinning room. We were a party of six so we made lunch reservations for the dining room. It Turned out we didn't need to because the place was just about empty at that time (12noon on a Tuesday.) This was my second time eating here. I ordered the "Insalata di Gamberi salad" it included:Mixed greens, seasoned extra virgin olive oil with red roasted peppers, tomatoes & grilled shrimp. I also added grilled chicken. The shrimp & chicken were cooked perfectly. However, the salad was overdressed leaving the lettuce very soggy and inedible.I think I'll go back, nothing to make me rush back though.

I really want to like this place, and I hope to have to update my review once I actually have a meal here instead of pizza, BUT as for their pizza and calzone.....they sucked.
I feel a little guilty even writing this review because the staff was so extremely helpful, but they really need to do something about their pizza dough.
Thankfully they seem to have a great marketing team, great social media coverage, and awesome weekly specials like $1 slices after 8 PM, $5 Tapas Tuesday and so on. So I hope that I can get back soon and I get wooed by their Italian dishes.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Craig C.Alexandria, NJ57014Feb 20, 2016
I have eaten in the dining room a few times for lunch and food was always good. The lunch specials are a good deal and the portions are decent.
I picked up a grilled chicken ceasar salad from the pizzeria side recently for lunch. The chicken was straight up nasty. Not just one piece but 75% of it. I can't believe someone would actually give that to a customer. I lost my appetite and won't be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Melissa S.Flemington, NJ230113688Aug 30, 2017
Great new discovery! The line was a bit long, but I had an amazing ham and cheese calzone! Had a great flavor, but could have been served a bit hotter. The ham inside the calzone was actually a bit cool. I ate half of it and took the other half home so I could enjoy it piping hot!!!
