Via Roma Pizzeria Con Cucina

We ate there so long ago but we're still talking about it this morning making breakfast. It was a slower night and Henry spent a good amount of time at our table talking about the food and cooking methods and ended up making me a spicy rigatoni bake. "People don't let the meat cook in juice long enough" and he was right.

Food and service were very good. We had 4 different pasta dishes and we enjoyed them all.
We had to wait a bit for the check and boxes after eating. but we were kind of hidden in the corner so understandable.
Greatly appreciated the tiramisu on the house at the end.

What can be said about a spot that never disappoints? Via Roma has become the "go to" spot for the family. There is always something on the menu for everyone and I have to say, the experience is fantastic. The owner is likely to be there and you will get to know him. He is always gracious and fixes whatever problem that may arrive. His can do attitude is remarkable. Not as hungry as a couple? Not a problem, he will have a plate split apart. The kids not happy with what's available? How about a special item? Regardless, let's get down to the three items that matter.

Service: excellent. The owner is on the floor and making sure everything is happening as it should.

Food: BAM! (A little throwback to Emeril Lagassi) it is delicious! I try a new item every time and never leave disappointed.

Establishment: Humble, with sweet throwbacks to Italy. Be it the colors on the walls, the decor, even the bar is a great representation.

Oftentimes we find ourselves trying a new spot in town only to be let down. I have learned that when there is indecision, I suggest here and we all leave happy!

Finally, there is a weekday special that includes a three course meal and bottle of wine for $30 (it might have increased) but is a smoking deal! Go give it a try!

Had a wonderful time at Via Roma like usual. The owner (Henry) greets you and is usually the one taking your order, which just adds to the welcoming and homey environment. When we ordered a Port, Henry let us do a little tasting of both to find out which one we liked better! The focaccia is fresh and yummy. We got the arancini and it was great.

The dish you have to order is the braised meatballs! We have been coming here for years, sometimes just for the meatballs!! They are delicious on their own, with just the focaccia, or with some pasta.

(Not pictured because we ate it so quick & forgot to get a pic)-- shrimp scampi 9/10: sauce was tasty but not overly creamy and there was a good amount of shrimp, Bianco pizza 7/10: would've preferred a thinner crust, all meat pizza 9/10: classic meat pizza, and kid's butter with pasta 10/10: the kid loved it.

Ended the night with dessert and got the lemon sorbetto which tasted like a classic Italian sorbetto!

Great service and a very friendly staff here! The margarita pizza, caesar salad, arancini, spaghetti and meatballs are some of my favorites!! And make sure to save room for some chocolate gelato!! Yummy!!

Happy valentines !!' Of course I have to take my wife for a valentines dinner. I have asked her where she wanted to eat (somewhat of a surprise). We haven't plan anything since we're going on a mini getaway to Florida. She happens to share this location with me and we ought to try it.

We got here , it was packed , but have room at the bar. I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the chicken Parmesan. It was very good, I ate all of mines and my wife share her left over to our daughter. We also have the tiramisu dessert as well. Our server / host was very entertaining. He was very friendly as well. I don't remember his name but all in all it was a great experience.

From the moment you walk into this restaurant you are greeted with the warmest welcome from the owner, Henry. You can tell that he loves his patrons and his restaurant. You just feel like family here!

This visit we went in on a weekend when they were serving the cioppino and I loved it. It was hearty and so flavorful. We split a ceasar salad and he had the beef ravioli. Everything was excellent The tiramisu was so good too!!

Valentine's Day dinner... Grazie!!

This was our first time dining at this cozy Italian eatery. It is a small place with family vibe. We came here for Valentine's Day. It was a full house and we had no reservations... we said we didn't mind sitting at the bar. The bar had available seating for two.

The menu included apps, soup/salads, pasta and a beverage and wine list. Dinner started with complimentary focaccia with balsamic and olive oil. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and hubby got the Linguine Scampi. I loved the crunch on the breaded, deep fried chicken topped with baked mozzarella. The portions were generous. Had half of my meal to go and shared with my youngest. Hubby ate all his linguine scampi and left no noodle behind LoL! We shared a yummy tiramisu for dessert.

While the food was wonderful and delicious, the real star of the show is the owner, Henry, for his great customer service. Very friendly and personable... when we walked inside we stood by the entrance with another couple waiting to be seated he came up to us, gave each of us a fist bump and immediately strike a conversation as if we've known each other for years! So warm and friendly. I can see why his restaurant is successful among locals.

I pass by this little plaza every time I see my doctor whose office is the building next door. Now I know...

Once again one of the BEST! Henry whipped up a quick Carbonara for me even though it was not on the menu. My wife had a version of their special Cioppino both incredible... Every time we come we feel like family and free treated that way.. A++++++++++
