I ordered a chicken wrap for pick up and I'm pretty sure they gave me the lamb & beef wrap. I should have confirmed when I was there. Instead, I ended up picking out all the meat and ate the veggies. I don't eat beef due to religious reasons. Highly disappointed. It was my first time here so please correct me if I'm wrong and that is indeed chicken in the pic. This is what the meat looked like.
Moral of the story. Food tastes great, but make sure they give you what you order. Don't do pick up. Just order when you're there so you can watch them make it. Doubt I'll be going back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Al. C.Austin, TX16813Jun 5, 2017
It was about 15 minutes until closing time when I dropped in. Usually, I get pretty lousy service when I do that, but I can't help my schedule. :/
My pita maker/cashier was really cool though. He gave me plenty of time to make decisions, wasn't trying to rush me around or act like he was trying to get me out of the door as soon as possible. The food wasn't the best though; the chicken was a bit...chewy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

This verts location definitely has some work to do. I ordered my usual kebap but tried this location for the first time. For starters, the girl forgot to put sauce on it prior to adding vegetables so I had to remind her.
Then the grilled corn was really just grilled onions with a splash of corn in it. Pretty gross.
Their vinaigrette sauce isn't made properly and has more of a bright yellow hue and had a funky taste.
Their French fries were soggy and floppy rather than their usual crisp ones.
Definitely had a subpar experience at this location - I'll be going back to the tech ridge location next time I need verts.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 7365814413Feb 14, 2014
Vegetarians of Milwood, rejoice!
I'm no longer a vegetarian, but I do enjoy eating meatless meals on a regular basis and I do declare that the Veggie Patty from VERTS is exceptionally tasty. How do they make simple potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery taste so good? Get it in a döner, a wrap, or a salad. Choose your fresh greens & other veggies to join the patties. Add 1 or 3 of the many yogurt-based sauces, depending on how much you want to shred your calorie count. Then sit down and chow down on a delicious, almost guiltless meal.
Check out the nutritional value info here: http://vertskebap.com/nutrition
FYI, the bread is vegan, but the veggie patty is not, so order accordingly if you feel strongly about avoiding animal products.
Minus 1 star for being super charge-y about some ingredients that should be built into the price of the item. You'll pay an additional $0.85 for feta, and another $1.25 for the grilled veggies. Seems to me if I'm not ordering meat, I oughta get the grilled veggies (at least) as a fair trade.
Welcome to the neighborhood, VERTS. We're glad you're here.
P.S. As of July 2014, Verts has added falafel to the menu. Yay for more vegetarian options!Helpful 22Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Shannon,
We just wanted to take the time to say thank you for writing such a nice review of our restaurant.
We also wanted to confirm you weren't charged for grilled veggies if you ordered grilled veggies as your main filling. If so, please let us know and we will absolutely remedy the situation.
Thanks,
Michael & Dominik - Nov 26, 2016
Delicious. Delicious. Delicious.
How can you go wrong with falafel and fries? The most original toppings ever: many of which contain raw veggies. I love raw veggies. Lots of spicy stuff that please my spice addicted palate.
Hats off to Verts to making innately good falafel heaven like!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Holly G.Austin, TX6750136Feb 9, 2016
After living overseas, you become accustomed to the local food and find yourself missing it. While living in Germany, I consumed many, many, many döners. Although I live in Austin, Texas where to food choices are plenty, nothing ever comes close to German cuisine. I had passed by verts on campus several times and decided to give it a chance. My first visit was mediocre. I enjoyed my lamb kebap, but I didn't love it. The staff was super friendly, so what more could I ask for? I was on the hunt for a delicious German döner, and came close.
I told a couple of friends about my journey to verts and that although I wasn't in love, it satisfied my döner craving, but that I wouldn't go back. They told me I was crazy and that they all loved it. Here's where I decide to try again. I ventured to the north location on Parmer and Mcneil for lunch one afternoon. I left feeling full and satisfied. This time, I LOVED my kebap. The staff were again friendly, and I enjoyed my experience.
Today I had another hankering for a döner and brought myself back to the north location. The gentleman working the counter was less than helpful and borderline impolite. I told him that I wanted to try a new sauce today and explained what I had had previously and if he had any recommendations. He was less than thrilled with me and I even caught a slight eye roll. He made my sandwich in the same manner that a slaughter farm would feed their pigs. Are you getting my drift here? Anyway, I'm giving 4 stars because I really do like verts and will come back again. Hopefully the counter man will be off that day :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 21, 2015
Hubby and I stopped in for a quick dinner to go. He mentioned he was craving some kind of pita sandwich. I've been to another VertsKebap location and really enjoyed the food. It was 8PM on Sunday and there were a couple of people ordering and eating inside and outside. Hubby got the Kebap and I opted for the Salad. All the ingredients are fresh and fries are made to order.
I was really impressed with my salad. It was a hefty salad. I got beef and lamb for my protein, spring mix and iceberg lettuce, corn, tomatoes, cilantro, cucumber, cabbage and the Garlic sauce for my dressing. I was really enjoying this Garlic sauce. It was yogurt and dill which is the House sauce plus Garlic. It had a nice spicy bite to it probably because it was fresh garlic that they blended all together. The staff was nice enough. The girl that started our order seemed like such a robot but she was pleasant enough and got our order moving along. Servings are always generous and the food has always been really great.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lindsay M.Las Vegas, NV732496492Jul 12, 2015
I have been meaning to come here forever and today was the day! All of the great things I have heard about Verts was definitely true :)
I have never had a Kebap before and apparently you can order it in kebap, wrap or salad form. The guy behind me told me it's kind of hard to eat a kebap so he switched to wraps. He comes here 6 days a week; lots of hard-core fans here.
I ordered the falafel with tons of veggies and sauce and yes, you do have to hold it upright but it is SOOO good. I already want to go back. I also ordered a Maine Root Blueberry Soda. Delicious. I can see why this is a popular place!
Suggestion: Maybe offer some kind of punch card since there are so many regulars!Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Business owner information

I'm devastated that they no longer have veggie patties as a filling option. I generally am not too big a fan of falafel (and the bf is allergic so that's a no-go for him), but I guess I'll have to stick with that from now on. Everything's still good here, but it's always disappointing when good options go away.

Hi Sirena,
We just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to write a review of VertsKebap Parmer and for giving us a try. We are very happy to hear how much you enjoyed your first visit to our restaurant. We truly appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you for happy hour!

Michael & DominikJun 6, 2015Previous reviewThis place works a bit like Chipotle, where you tell them what you want and get to pick your sauces and veggies. We got kebaps with veggie patties and the house and garlic sauces.
The kebaps were stuffed, and so was I after after finishing one. As a small person, there was no way I was escaping without making a bit of a mess - there were definitely some cucumber and corn casualties, and my hands were sticky with sauce. But everything was delicious and fresh, and I was very full without feeling disgusting (except for my hands).
We didn't order any this time, but they do have a couple of beers on tap. According to the napkin dispenser on our table, they have half-off beers every Tuesday from 5-10pm. We'll be back for that! - Cynthia C.Shibuya, Japan229485269Apr 25, 2017
Sorry-- this Verts needs to up it's food quality.
Service was friendly, but meats are ALWAYS presliced. They have fresh meat right in front of me & there was NO ONE else in the restaurant at 4PM, but they still grab meat from the presliced bin (GROSS).
Also, some of the vegetable toppings looked wilted & not very fresh.
My sweet potato fries were burnt & they still served them to me.
Sorry Verts, I'll be going to Tino's for my Mediterranean fix from here on out.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information
