Got a message about my review "Edwin was helpful". Surprised me. The only time I have been in the store I distinctly remember because it had snowed and all the Verizon stores from Orange to Zion Crossroad to Charlottesville were closed, save this store which was in the process of trying. I did get in and had my curiosity about how they got the racecar inside, had my Luddite question about my device answered but wondered what all the employee was doing with the device.
So after getting "my review" sent to me, think Edwin was being helpful, only to Edwin. Those three words would never be a comment by me. Any comment I make - good or bad - never has such brevity, has meaningful substance.

I went in today because the Move to iOS app kept freezing at 34% when I was trying to move my data from Android to iPhone. I was hoping they would offer to assist me but nope. The staff person told me that the ONLY way to transfer data from Android to iPhone was through that app. When I asked about the Verizon Content Transfer app, the other person in the office said, "yeah, that could work." So apparently Move to iOS wasn't the ONLY way. Unfortunately, the Verizon transfer app won't transfer text messages. There was no offer to help, they just essentially told me to go figure it out on my own. Like the others noted, this is a Verizon Authorized Retailer. Don't go here. If you're going to have to make another trip to get assistance (which you will) then just go directly to a bona fide Verizon store instead of here.

Avoid this place. I went in to ask about my bad reception issues and the attendant said there was basically nothing that could be done. When I began to ask questions he got on his personal cell phone and started looking at his text messages.
      Such bad service.

Overall, poor service, poor follow up and quite rude.

The sense from being in this store is that they have such high foot traffic that my business doesn't matter. We bought two iPhone 7s and after repeated issues with these (that they have not helped to fix), we have spent more money and time managing the issues than with any other provider or retailer.

The corporate customer service recommended working directly with a Verizon store rather than a retailer to get these issues fixed.

I would recommend going directly to the store for the service you want rather than through these folks as the Verizon store I went to promptly (and courteously) addressed our issues.

This would be 3.5 stars from me because of the staff's friendliness. The staff here starts the hard sell immediately on your arrival and continues throughout your visit, even when you purchase something. While the hard sell started far too quickly for my taste and continued for too long [almost like with telemarketers, you need to say no three times . . . although I think I went well beyond three times and the hard sell continued], somehow the staff here pulls it off in a friendly, neighborhood way. It's very strange, but I had to appreciate the seemingly genuine warmth they showed while trying to pry my money free; other places do the hard sell without the genuine warmth and I refuse to return to those. If the friendliness remains a characteristic here, this'll be my go-to store whenever I need one.

Like most new (and old?) Verizon stores now, this is a wide open space with a few small display stands around the store. [I'd suggest that Verizon should start pairing with another company that doesn't need significant space either, in order to make better use of these stores' size, but that's just a tangent.] This particular store still has it's new-store smell - it was almost as if they'd just cut the lumber for the floorboards. Ahhhh...

Went in there a few Saturdays ago because my older model Android was having issues with the SIM card. The guys seemed nice enough, and without explaining much just took the SIM card out and replaced it and it was working again. They were laughing at me in a weird way, even though I was happy that they seemed to fix the issue. I should have known when there was no charge. Turns out, an hour later the freaking SIM card started acting up again. So these jack-asses were just giving me a quick fix because they were to lazy to actually try to help me.
I did a little reading and learned that the SIM card was a problem on these phones. So I went back to a new location and they were able to give me the truth. I bought a new phone and was very happy with the service.
These clowns at that store should be fired. Lazy jerks.

Beware! First off, this is NOT a Verizon Corporate store. That being said, do not expect same plans and pricing as Verizon offers. Second, they will charge you a set-up fee, because they are not a corporate store, to add a line to your existing service. Verizon does not add this fee. This fee was NOT explained to me when I went in to add my husband to my plan. Secondly, when upgrading your phone, which my husband decided to do, they do not allow you to pay for the phone it full. You will be charged a portion of the phone's price for two years. They however will allow you to come back after 30 days pay off the remaining fee. They don't tell you this. A Verizon agent told me this when I called Verizon Wireless. Third, they cancelled my plan and created a new plan for my husband resulting in a charge by Verizon for my switching plans. This was never explained or authorized by me. Of course, when the Verizon agent called this location, the manager said "all of this was explained". Of course he said this.... he's not going to say we duped them into using our business. I can honestly tell you that I would have walked out the door if I knew of all the additional hidden fees were going to be added to the transaction. Side note, the Clarendon Verizon Corporate store offers a 150.00 credit for a new join (unfortunately just reading this now).
This is a real shame because the staff was friendly. I'll never go here again and I'll never refer anyone to this location EVER.

Best experience ever upgrading a cell phone! I'm not one to upgrade frequently, and recently went to this store to see about replacing my current device. My customer service rep was Murtaza (Taz for short) and he was exceptionally helpful. Taz was friendly and patient, explained my options clearly and thoroughly, and even assisted with revising my data plan such that I now have more data for less money, which offsets the monthly increase for the new phone. I upgraded to the iPhone Xr, and I am very happy with the new phone, including a quick tutorial from Taz on using the features that were new to me. I'm sure it helped that my visit was mid-morning on a weekday when there were not many other customers, but I'm also sure that Taz would have been similarly helpful at a busier time. This Old Town Alexandria location was the best, and I will be sure to take my business there in the future. Thanks Taz for your exceptional customer service!

I went to the Verizon Store at 2920 Jefferson Davis Highway to purchased a Hotspot for my organization. From day 1, nothing went right. I could not log in, never received an email from Verizon, Could not get my invoices nor could Verizon figure out the problem. After nearly 3 hours (on may calls to their service, I gave up and went back to the store. They would not give my a passcode to get into my own account, claiming that to be mailed, yet I received not one piece of mail.
Finally, i asked them to terminate the service and I refuse to pay for service that I am not receiving. AFTER the salesperson terminated my account, I was told that i owed a 175.00 TERMINATION FEE!!!. Yes, I got angry and loud to no avail. How can I owe this when the fault lies with Verizon?
I was treated badly and received awful service. Went to ATT and have been happy ever since.
NOW, I get notifications even month that I still owe the $175.00!!!
Every month, I send it back. I tried calling back a few times, getting disconnected every time.
Verizon has been a nightmare from day one.

I thought the guy behind the counter was just going to tell me to F off that he didn't feel like working today (Veterans Day)So I decided that this store didn't need my business. I guess they are all famous rock stars that don't need to work for a living. So I guess I'll go to the one over on rt 1. Maybe they will want my money
