Venus Nails

Let me start by saying I have never been to this salon before. I'm a new student at the university and I have a nail salon I swear by at home. I discovered a new place in Atwater that I tend to go to, however, my "new" place was closed when I came back yesterday morning. I frantically searched yelp for a nail salon open on a Sunday and I came across Venus Nails. I was a little skeptical considering the reviews and the amount stars, however, I was blown away.

I called and asked if they had any open spots for an acrylic gel fill and they told me I could come in right away. I got to the salon and I was warmly greeted and they began my nails immediately. They have a large variety of gel polishes, and their polishes are one of the highest
quality polishes I have ever had used on my nails.

My technician, Kim, made sure to ask me how I felt about the shape of each nail before moving on to the next. If I had any concerns regarding the shape, Kim was happy to fix it.

When I was having my nails filed down, a bit of my finger began to bleed. Kim immediately treated the wound by sterilizing it and applying pressure and asked if there was anything else I needed.

At Venus Nails, a gel fill costs only $25! Additionally, they give out stamp cards (2 for each visit) and after 8 visits, you get $15 off your next service!

Venus nails was extremely welcoming, efficient, and fairly priced. I highly recommend you come check out the salon before being scared away by other reviewers!

So disappointed ruined my daughter's nails for prom. I should have listen to the review.

I found it very suspicious when I finished getting my service done they did a horrible job and I did not plan on leaving a tip but once lady took my payment i preceded to ask for a receipt she took way longer and made some "changes" on the machine then printed my receipt but with a 2 dollar tip and well as their card fee. All for a basic pedicure which ended up causing me more discomfort and pain. Down to the slapping of my feet when it was supposed to be a "massage" to them over cutting my toe nails and skin causing me to bleed and then spraying alcohol on them!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Went to get my eyebrows done, the lady that does eyebrows was very rude, telling me to hurry up. She rushed on my eyebrows for no reason, the place was not even packed! Horrible service, would NOTTTT recommend.

This salon does not give the service requested, only does a partial job when it comes to pedicures as the technician hurries through the service and doesn't complete all phases noted on the service menu. when using a credit or debit card, they add the tip without your knowledge. they don't ask if you'd like to leave a tip, they just add the tip themselves. they are THIEVES!!!!!!

just wanted to come on here and vent...the nail techs do not listen to you when you tell them how you want your nails done. They are not experts they are horrible...the have attitude problems when you give them your honest opinion of the job they did on your nails. Just look how they sent my girlfriend out of their business. please use caution when going here for your nails so this same thing doesn't happen to you!!!!! This experience has been irritating as hell. They do not deserve your business

Don't get your manicures done there, there's an old guy who is so rude, throws your hands and does a horrible job.

So we head off to girls day for pedicures and nails-
The very next day the mail started lifting-
Head back and ask for a repair only to be told it will be a 90 minute wait!
Also- if you are a fan of using your credit cards for your points and miles- DONT go here! They prefer cash only and the lady will argue that the cost is too high to charge it. Bye Venus !

there are no words to describe how awful horrible this place was. i went in with my mother and my cousin for pedicures. keep in mind it was a rainy SLOW day. So to start off the person i had was an older gentleman, he was extremely rough on my legs when massaging, he left my nails CROOKED no matter how many times i told him if he could straighten it out he would shake his head as if it was a bother. THEN he did NOT clean the edges correctly which eventually led to my gel polish chipping off within 2 days and lifting. As for the second person who worked on my cousin, who id say was more middle aged, did NOT take his time. i want to say he took 15 mins MAX. I really hate telling anyone how to do their job cause who does really??? but she asked for a specific color and they had none of the colors which was more of a lilac color, and she would choose a different that were similar to it and they had NONE of them. So that led to annoyance. OH AND he also didn't clean around the edges and proceeded with aggression as well. so overall experience was a -10/10.
The person who worked on my mom however wasn't as bad, but my mom did have an ingrown toenail and you'd think they can help take it out but the lady actually made it worse.. the crazy thing is is that the 2 guys were RUSHING and there was nobody else but us 3 and that definitely isn't the vibe. i wanted to be calm and relaxed but i felt tense and almost like i was a bother there... anyways. never going back. do what you want with this information.

Just got my nails done here came recommended by another place and I am pissed!!! With no training at all I could have done 200 times better my nails are lumpy and ugly... so embarrassed.
