Happy Saturday!!

I would like to give a special shout out to Mario for being so helpful and kind today. Not only did he help with sending my package off, but he was also very helpful in suggesting different restaurants to try since I haven't been in the area since 2007.

So, the Post Office is very clean, small, yet very efficient. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and it would have been shorter, if I had my item boxed and ready to ship. I used the priority service so I had to box the items inside.

HUGE shout out to Mike & Amelia for helping me mail over 300 packages for a work event. I divided them up over the course of 2 weeks, I didnt want to overwhelm anyone since they were international packages, we averaged about 10 an hour.

Not once did they ever get mad or frustrated when I walked in toting a huge box of purple packages. Instead I was greeted with a friendly smile and warmth. I super appreciated this since I knew whoever came in behind me wouldn't be the happiest camper when they realized who was in front of them.

if another customer made a fuss, they quickly reassured them that someone would be there to help them quickly and the line never stood still for very long. Even when I had 20 international packages.

Honestly, I kind of looked forward to my few hours out of the home office and will be sad I dont get to see them anymore. Gonna have to find some stuff to send out lol

We take a lot of things for granted in the U.S., like an efficient post office. A few years ago they wanted to privatize the USPS. Talked about how it wasn't efficient and wasn't "profitable" (though no one talks about whether our other necessary services - the military, for example - are "profitable."). I give the USPS on Coxe Avenue in Asheville 5 stars for efficient friendly service today in helping me renew my passport. They do good work, are super reliable when properly funded, and are one of the most underrated service providers in your life. Tell 'em thanks next time.

So the first 5 star post office I have ever reviewed.

Right in the center of town so really good for downtown residents such as myself. The folks behind the counter are VERY nice and helpful and always make me feel good both about my mail situation and my day.

Parking can be a challenge as a lot of traffic can move around this particular area, so look twice.

I can't believe it, I have never given a US post office five stars. They were very pleasant, very quick, I'll definitely go back. If you have a choice of post office is to go to, this is the one!!!

It's nearly impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. I've been trying to make a passport appointment for 3 days and the phone just rings and rings and rings.

Came in on a Tuesday morning, it was pretty busy, but they took care of everyone quickly and it was a fast moving line. I was shipping a large package, a guitar, and Mark was friendly and had everything ready to go quickly. One of the best postal offices I've dealt with, thanks guys!

I ran in right when the post office was closing on Saturday and even though the registers were closed, they sold me an envelope I desperately needed. Wonderful service!
