Our mission is to do Simple Foods Exceptionally Well. We're located in the Grand Central District in an old Standard Oil building that we've refurbished with an open kitchen and brewery. We pride ourselves in doing everything from scratch from our tator tots and biscuits to the fried chicken. In the near future we'll be adding four shuffle board courts and a 7 barrel brewery system. St Pete has quickly become known for its many breweries and we're proud to be joining as the only brewpub in the city.

I LOVE everything about this place. Innovative menu, Great decor, Awesome music...and don't let me get started on the drinks.
I am a sucker for a well-made cocktail and this place delivers for sure! The Korean ribs were meaty and tender. I loved the pork ring take on the nachos. My friends loved their meals and we especially loved our waitress. I wish I remembered her name because I would definitely given her a personal shout-out. She was so helpful and genuine when we were trying to figure out our way around the menu.
I recommend everyone to visit!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 23, 2018
You should eat here. This place has fantastic food, but staff could benefit from some training. I have no idea why this place isn't busier than it is, because the food is legit and there really isn't anything too close to compete with them.
The fried chicken is first brined before they magically bread and fry it. It comes out so hot, it was still uncomfortable to eat after 10 minutes. The tender, full flavored collard greens helped fill the time though. I was surprised the greens didn't have a smoke element to them (given their BBQ joint) but they were delicious just the same.
They have off menu fried pig skins and they should be ordered! Salt, pepper, and their house hot sauce make them a light, crunchy, delightful appetizer.
Apparently they are combining their BBQ location into this spot so will temporarily close sometime in December and reopen in January. I can't wait to see the new combined menu!

It's an old gas station repurposed as a comfort food, craft cocktail, craft beer shuffle board gem.
I grabbed a drink before the elite yoga event across the street and I was not disappointed I. The old fashioned, strong flavor for days and the bartender was chatty and nice. Even have me a new beer group that's national for Bryt to join.
I came back after the event ( I tipped 58% voluntarily to park there) and had a meal( see pics) the fried chicken dark made wanna slap my mammy! Collards are the closest thing to perfection around these parts. And the biscuit and homemade honey butter and crazy good.
So do yourself a favor and swing in to the old gas station and fill up.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 1716241773Aug 25, 2018
We came down to spend the weekend in St. Pete (staycation) and I chose this place for dinner because it has great reviews and my husband loves fried chicken.
I am sad to say we were disappointed. The drink I ordered was not good. It sounded like everything I like and usually drink (tequila and grapefruit) but it was not good. My husband got the chicken dinner. His potatoes were cold and both of our biscuits were heavy and doughy (not edible). The chicken was just ok. I expected my wings to come in wing sauce, they do not. I got a side of wing sauce and it tasted more like marinara with a little heat. My fries were the best thing we had here.
I don't know if we just came on an off night or what but I wish I would have talked my husband into going to the taco place nearby.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2017
This is URBAN restaurant series with southern cuisine. I have hit all URBAN restaurants in one day except the deli. This one is somehow unique because they are in a modified garage to restaurant. The seating included bar, outside Shuffle board and the regular restaurant inside seating.
Urban Comfort has good southern food selection. We got the chicken waffles. The dish come with two pieces southern fried chicken. You can add two more pieces for additional $4. It serve over Belgium waffle with power sugar on top. The chicken are well marinated. I have not seen a marinated sauce go deep into the meat. It is delicious.
This restaurant is solid 4 stars. It is not 3.5 stars make 4 stars. Service is good. While we were there we got the free 5 oz beer by Yelp checking. I have selected the coconut milk stout. It has good coffee flavor and burn smoke flavor. The stout is good to enjoy.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 10Oh no 0Business owner information

Driving around st Pete house hunting and needed to fuel up with some brunch and passed by Urban comfort. The ambiance is nice- open and friendly. We were seated right away for 11:30am brunch- it was kinda empty which I'm always weary about but had confidence in the place.
Overall- Urban comfort is good for drinks- but skip on the food. I ordered a mimosa ($6) and my boyfriend ordered an Irish coffee ($9, it was strong!) both were good but a little pricey.
The food was meh- the reason for the low rating. I had the green tomato Benedict ($11, they let me sub the bacon for extra green tomatoes for all my veggies out there) and it was just ok. Kinda bland, the hollandaise was barely there which was sad because that's my FAVORITE part of a Benedict. My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy ($10) and he had the same comment- just okay, a little cold.
Service overall was great- our server Amanda was on top of things. But yeah- skip the food and just stick to drinks here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I'm holding at 3 stars for Urban Brew at their new location because a number of things were really odd on our visit (a couple of weeks after moving). First, neither their Yelp nor Facebook check-in offers were honored. Social media isn't THAT hard... take off the offers. Second, one of our group was served a chicken sandwich with the bone still in it... that CAN'T be right. Third, their menu had changed but hadn't been updated online... most of what I'd planned to order was actually not available. Finally, our food came out very haphazardly, and several of our group received their entrees way after the rest of us. I recognize that we were a big group (16, I think), and any one or two of these issues would be understandable, but all together, I just think they weren't prepared. The food was good, and I'll definitely return. Hopefully, I can update & upgrade my review!

Very cool atmosphere. The place used to be a gas station. There are booths and tables inside and community benches out on the patio
Service was good, all of the servers work all of the tables and share tips so its easy to get something as you can ask anyone working
Food was great, mac and cheese balls, fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles! All of it was delicious. They also have some tasty beers too. It's a great spot to chill out. They have huge shuffleboards too.
Will definitely be coming back. Check out the photos I posted also.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michael C.Oakland, CA10911121688Dec 28, 2018
I remember when they first opened up Urban Brew & BBQ.
I then remember when they opened up Urban Comfort. Then they had Urban Deli and Urban Creamery. Then Urban Brew closed and Urban Deli turned into catering. What happened?
Might have been the three employees smoking cigarettes and folding shirts while only one actually working waitress runs around taking orders, running food, and cleaning - leaving 3 benches full of dirty dishes.
Or could have been the employee with the swastika tattoo.
I actually had been to Urban Comfort a few years back, had a solid meal with some friends. Returned on this year's trip, talked to the kitchen staff if I could sit anywhere.
And sit I did!
Did get the menus quick, but that server disappeared and at least 10 minutes went by before the waitress came by and took my order - they were also out of Mac and Cheese.
Anyway, got the closer: a wholly unhealthy roast beef sandwich with pulled pork, bacon, cheese, grilled onions. Sammich was good! Definitely crashed hard after it, and glad I did.
Because after the meal, I waited a while to get the check so I looked around. The three employees at the outdoor bar smoked and folded tees as every table around me had dirty dishes stacked. I went to take a picture of the closer sign to remember what exactly I ate when another employee - wearing an Urban tank top - walked by. As I sat down and still waited, I noticed what his tattoo was: a swastika.
I don't think I've ever had a meal ruined like that before. The mixed feeling of fear and disgust that I supported an establishment that hires nazis.
I still tipped my waitress because she deserved to be paid for being the only person working.
But I no longer feel comfortable at any Urban establishment and will not support them ever again.Helpful 14Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Feb 14, 2017
I started out with Mac and cheese balls. These were amazing. Crunchy on the outside and cheesey on the inside. They used Gouda which melts really nice inside. These came in a spicy aoili which was a very good compliment.
Next I had the short rib sandwich with comfort fries. The sandwich had crispy onion straws and a bourbon onion marmalade on it. This was all very good but I couldn't really taste the marmalade. some more of that would have given it a nice sweetness. The fried were dusted with a bbq seasoning.
I tried several beers and they were all good. My favorite was a hefeweizen. This had a nice fruit flavor. Mostly orange was what I got from it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
