Uptown Joe

This is my new go to when in Louisville! The coffee is so good, I don't know that I can get it from anywhere else now.

I am in town visiting with my partners family and we are the only coffee drinkers. I passed Uptown Joe decided to stop in and get some coffee over the usual Speedway or McDonalds.

Cute little Main Street coffee shop. You walk in from the street and there is a quaint little inviting lobby. Staff is super friendly. I ordered two black coffees ($3 each) to go but the have everything from hot and cold beverages to sandwiches.

I didn't realize at first there is a back seating section too. Places to sit and enjoy your beverages and foods, or bring your laptop.

The coffee was good and strong and caution, it comes out piping hot!

Better coffee and better service than the chain high dollar coffee shops. Does great with custom orders as well.

The food here is really good, but they are so unbelievably slow. I went in one day before school and my friend said she had been waiting 30 minutes. There were 4 other people in the store. Today, I ordered a sandwich at 10:20. It is currently 11:20 and I am still waiting. I am appalled by the lack of speed within this building. It's absolutely insane and not even close to worth an hour of my (or anyone else's) time.

I love Uptown Joe's. Solid beverage and food selections. They offer a few desserts made by local bakers. Staff is so kind and customer service is good. I just wish they had better hours. They could make so much more money opening a few hours earlier and staying open past 2:30 or 3:00.

I stopped at Uptown Joe's this morning and had a great experience. This is hole in the wall and does mostly take out business. I ordered a cup of regular coffee and a sausage egg and cheese bagel. The coffee was great quality and is much better than you get at any typical breakfast restaurant. The bagel was perfect and again they used quality ingredients for the sausage egg and cheese. The price was very reasonable and I plan to come back.

It was my first time there. I asked them what made them special and they said, "The service." I said I thought it was the smiles. My friend and I had a great experience our first times there and will be back. And, true to their words, the service was great. So were the Chai Lattes. Thank you!

Got the Greek Omelet with "angry feta" and it was one of the best omeletsI have eaten. Service was fast and friendly, outstanding breakfast.

The customer service was OUTSTANDING! Very friendly ladies in the front. It was super busy when I arrived but they handled it well! Thank you for being so kind. The pour over coffee was AMAZING! I got peppermint mocha flavor :) I also got the cranberry orange muffin to bring home for my mom. She LOVED it!!! It was nice & fresh. & I brought monster cookies home for the kiddos of course! I will for sure be coming back to try the breakfast sandwiches & more yummy coffee! GREAT PLACE !

I've been to this place about five times and I've never been a fan of the wait time and impersonal personalities of the staff interacted with. The drip coffee is also insanely hot - like my hand is burning through the cup and the cardboard holder thing.
