Today, Saturday August 24, 2022, they were to open at 9:00 AM, they finally arrived around 10:30AM. I brought in a prepaid package which became jammed in the device that accepts packages because it was over flowing with previously submitted parcels. And to beat it all, they never had time to scan the package into their system as being received on that day. Very sad.

They lost my package and refused to scan a few packages that I needed to send.
Last Monday I left 2 packages in the drop box, seven days have passed and only one of them has been scanned. Today I went to drop few more. Waited in line for over 20 minutes to asked about the package that hasn't been scanned and to leave the leave the other packages. The lady REFUSED to scan my packages, she said that I had to leave them in the drop box and the package that I left last week was simply not there. She simply told me to go to another location and talk to the manager. She was rude and of not help. Now I don't know where my package is and I'm just hopping that my other packages get scanned and delivered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 5, 2015
This is the retail branch of the main Orland Park Post Office. This branch was opened a few years ago and is full service like the main post office on 144th Street. Like the peeps here and it is usually faster getting in and out than going to the main post office.

This is a post office in a strip mall that offers normal postal services, PO boxes, and a small assortment of items to purchase. We always have some nice interactions with the employees and usually get our needs taken care of quickly.
Whats the reason for 3 stars? I still do not understand the Illinois way of having federal service locations in strip malls. I do not have anything against the situation but I am just not used to it. Also, it is a small location for the business it does. Even though the line moves quickly there is usually a few people waiting to be served.
We always continue to visit this location due to it's proximity to our home and the proximity to our normal shopping spots.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William B.Lockport, IL150187169Jan 26, 2017
It looks like I found someone who hates their job as much as Vernis on 144th. This probably early 30s African American woman treated me like I was an inconvenience and she wasn't happy, whatsoever to serve me, or the guy before me, or the lady before him.... I wasn't surprised that she wasn't wearing a name tag, that makes it more difficult to complain about her, Vernis wears his on his collar, which is a challenge to read. My advice, again, to Post Office employees: If you don't like your job, quit! There are thousands of people that apply and don't get the position so you can collect your check and benefits with no appreciation for the opportunity you've been given.

At the Orland park post office on 4/13/21 at 9:30 in the morning. I asked to have envelopes stamped for verification. And then asked if I could take a picture of the envelopes to verify they were stamped, she was quite abrupt and rude stating "you can not take pictures in the post office" so I said ok. I then asked if they were stamped all she said was yes as she was taping another package. I never saw her pick up a stamp or stamp the envelopes. I called the 800# to complain and the gentleman asked if she offered to give me a receipt of the envelopes left. It was never offered. I was not aware that was an option until he said that. I filed a complaint and received a call from my local post office to call the post office I visited. I have tried several times to call and they never pick up the phone. Are they busy yes, was this clerk beyond rude ABSOLUTELY. is that necessary? NO. I understand many employees are overworked and tired. Most people today are but is that a reason for rudeness?
