Summer Moon Coffee

This is my favorite location out of the ones in Central Austin. Plenty of parking, decently-sized store, indoor and outdoor seating. Summer Moon's whole shtick is their "moon milk," which is basically like their own custom made creamer. It's certainly tasty, but a little will go a long way. I would not get anything more than a 1/4, maaayyybee a 1/2 if you're craving some liquid ice cream.

One thing I do appreciate about Summer Moon is that they make some tasty sweet iced lattes. Outside of Starbucks, that's hard to find around this city. Besides their standard and lavender flavors, they also typically come through with their holiday/seasonal crafted drinks. Their workers are also very helpful and friendly, even in times where they seem understaffed.

Tried moon milk to see what it's about. You can find good coffee here. And, we've heard the matcha moon is good too. Only recommendation? Make sure you don't get the full moon but 1/2 or less! Moon milk is sweet and rich -- so less is more!

Coffee...... delish! Bring your own cleaning wipes, tables dirty.

Nice casual coffee place in Westlake area for an afternoon or evening hangout.
They have a broad selection of coffees and pastries although nothing savory :( Very free blended drinks.l options.
The espresso milkshake was more icy and less milk so didn't enjoy it much.
I liked the interior decor, it was brightly lit with plenty of seating area.

Never thought fire roasted coffee would be a thing, but this coffee actually tastes really good. Not sure why but it is. If you like a strong flavorful coffee with heavy caffeine content this is it

Open, sunny coffee shop with friendly staff. Their specialty "Moon milk" is customizable in regard to sweetness and whether or not it is dairy free. I ordered the quarter moon latte with almond milk, and the sweetness level is perfect for me. This location has windows on 3 walls, so it is sunny and cheerful. Seating includes a comfy couch and armchair area, tables and chairs in various arrangements, and a bar area with stools along one windowed wall. The decor is welcoming and warm. It's the kind of coffee shop that invites you to hang out for awhile while you sip your coffee. Gender neutral bathrooms and pastry options, including vegan ones, are additional positive features.

Everyone here is so nice and helpful! The drinks and food are good, too. I would definitely go here over other coffee shops in the area.

The Summer Moon location in West Woods Shopping Center on Bee Cave Road is bright and airy with plenty of comfortable seating, including seating and tables ouside. The service was friendly and the coffee tasty. It was my 1st time at a Summer Moon shop so the Barista spent some time explaining the menu and the different coffees. Finally decided and the mocha moon lattee and was not disappointed!

Along with a nice variety of good coffee, you'll find pretty pastries, tacos, etc. Didn't try any of those on this trip, but next time!

Spacious and LOUD. Summer Moon has locations sprinkled throughout Austin, and it's been a hit or miss for us. Be advised that the drinks tend to be pretty milky and sweet as it is their signature. So if you like strong, dark roasted coffee, you gotta make sure you specify that in your order. Honestly, I typically come here when I want sweet coffee. I ordered an iced chai latte one time and asked for an added shot of espresso but the drink still came out very milky (I promise that's the last time I'll use that word in this review).

Anyway, they have a spacious cafe with lots of places to sit, outlets in almost every corner, and great interior design. However, they blast the music and they have a broken speaker where all you hear is the bass bumpin. Not a good vibe especially when you're trying to get some work done or have a conversation. I feel like they do this on purpose to tune out the loud teenagers that come into the shop, but it's really also not good for the people who are trying to study or get some work done. It feels more like you're at a random bar rather than a coffee shop. It's so loud!!

Love it here! Baristas are always friendly and the coffee is always delicious. This location gets a bit crowded, so it can be hard to find a place to sit. Love coming, though!
