Dr Matt is the right person to go to for your chiropractic needs. I actually drive past at least a dozen other chiropractors on my way to his office, but it's well worth the time and mileage as Dr Matt is more than just a chiropractor making adjustments and sending you on your way, he spends the time to work on your muscles first, making a HUGE difference! I can't recommend him enough - if you're in pain (or don't want to be in the future) give him a try!

I have been to several chiropractors over the years and have never quite had an "experience" like I have with this person. I went to him with a "rib out of place" - because he was in network with my insurance and close to my work (and my previous chiro had just gone out of network). He worked on my back and somewhat alleviated the issue, but not completely and I was still in pain after my visit.

Keep in mind that I went to him for his CHIROPRACTIC services, my copay for this is supposed to be $25. He then turned around and billed my insurance with the billing codes for a "specialist", which generated another $25 out-of-pocket due bill.

So when I went back to him for the same issue 2 weeks later (worse this time because it was not fixed on my first visit and therefore the pain in my rib/back had become unbearable, making it hard to breathe): he rudely informed me that I owed an extra $25 before he would see me for the 2nd visit. I tried to argue my point that my Chiropractic visits are only supposed to be $25, but he said I had to fight with the insurance company and it wasn't his problem or fault. - I reluctantly paid, but only because I thought I needed his treatment so bad I couldn't leave without going in.....so another $25 copay + the $25 "for the previous visit....

Then he AGAIN billed as a specialist for the second visit. After this 2nd visit I figured out the error in the Doctor's billing with a call to my insurance carrier....they told me the doctor had to correct his codes and they would get better/fixed and I could get my $25 refunded that I overpaid him. - - Guess what? - - Not only did the doctor refuse to correct HIS billing, he told me how wrong I was about medical billing, fired me as a patient (formally with a letter), and now is SUING (yup, that's right) me over the other $25 that I am refusing to pay him for the "outstanding balance". Really? - What a crock! Unfortunately there are too many of these types in the medical field that give the good doctors out there a bad name. - - Avoid this guy at all costs.....his treatment is so-so and he's absolutely awful to deal with if you have a medical billing issue.

I have been coming to this place since I moved here from LA a year and a half ago.
I am always treated like a VIP and the doctor spends about 20-25 minutes treating my back. I have been to many chiro's in my life. It is usually 3-10 minutes tops. My back goes out a few times a year and I make an appt, show up and like magic.... I am usually 50-80 percent better with in a couple days.
I had read someone's negative review from a few years ago. I'm not sure why she was complaining over $25 so much. For a popped out rib?? I would just of paid it and not of been sued by my own insurance company. haha
Also, when my back is out I would pay $$$$ to feel better if needed.

Please try this place and see for yourself.... :)

I a disabled veteran who was in a plane crash 25 years ago that severely injured my spine. I have seen many doctors over many years and grown discouraged with conventional treatments. (5 spinal fusion surgeries) I live in constant pain and would do anything to feel better. I was in Phoenix to see the charlatans of the Laser Spine Institute (that is a separate review...they are awful) when my sister (who lives in Scottsdale) recommended the folks "At My Best Health"

They have a naturopathic doctor, a chiropractic doctor, a masseuse and a nutritionist all on staff. On very short notice, they looked at my bloodwork and medical history and came up with a plan of treatment that was incredibly well rounded. They managed to treat me every day I was in Phoenix whether it was chiropractic, massage, multivitamin IV or seeing the nutritionist or doctor. They had a unified plan to improve my well being. I found Dr. Dorchester to be very direct and likable (rare qualities in many doctors I have dealt with over the years.) By the end of the week, I had increased my range of motion by 1 3/4 inches. That may not sound like much but after 5 fusion surgeries, it is significant!

The most amazing part was at the end of my treatments, because I am a disabled veteran, they knocked 10% off my bill. They said "Thank you for your service" and told me the government should be paying for my treatment. (They should but that's another matter) When was the last time you had a doctor do something that nice!!!

I see some negative reviews in the column to the right and I can only imagine those people are not on staff anymore. They could not be talking about anyone that I interacted with. My experience could not have been any better. I am seriously considering moving to Phoenix. Thank you so much to all of you "At My Best Health"

I scheduled an appointment at this office, PAID the required $75 "down payment" then they cancelled my appointment with NO explanation. I asked why and got no explanation. Only an email back to "cancel" my payment. This is extremely frustrating to 1. Have my appointment cancelled with no explanation and 2. Pay the requested "down payment" then have to figure out how to cancel my payment. They should not require this payment ahead of time if they are going to cancel appointments for no reason. I got an email and text confirming my appointment, also. Then just an email cancelling it. This is not a professional way for a doctors office to act.

Fantastic practice with excellent staff and facilities. I've recommended this team to my friends and family.

Great all purpose clinic providing medical and chiropractic services as well as massage services. The doctors were very friendly and experienced and took care of all my pain issues. The massage therapist there was also excellent. I would highly recommend them for your pain problems.

Its hard to find a good Chiropractor in the valley. Dr. Dorchester and his staff at At My Best Health are absolutely the best in the business. I have both upper and lower back issues so seeing Dr. Dorchester on regular bases keeps me in tack and muscle tense free. Always there when you need an emergency quick fix... (which has happened a time or two) I would not hesitate in recommending Dr. Dorchester and his team at At My Best Health.

Be warned - this practice operates like an unscrupulous used car dealership and try to upsell their services without providing full disclosure of cost. I bought a living social massage and was talked into the performance benefits of regular adjustments for athletes during my visit. I declined their offer for other tests and a full physical exam during my 2nd visit as I already have a family doctor and only agreed to the routine chiropractic adjustment which I paid in full during the time of my visit. So as you can imagine, I was very surprised to learn that they billed my insurance for physical therapy at 8 times the full price disclosed for chiropractic care and was informed that my obligation was around 4 times the cash price paid.

I would rate the quality of service as average and their professional ethic and customer service as very low - they will attempt to make the most out of you and your insurance at every opportunity. Make sure you get everything in writing.

This place is great. Nice, professional, and always on time. The online appointment scheduling is also super convenient.
