I ate here in April, so I don't think it is closed. It was a great place to hang after strolling through the art crawl in barrio logan. The outdoor area has a beer garden feeling - and that is a compliment. The vibe is chill and fun. The tacos were tasty and very fresh, but otherwise not outstanding. I was disappointed - I didn't see a salsa stand or a selection of taco extras like onion/cilantro. Still, a fun place.

Turys is located inside Border X and I already had dinner across the street from here, so I wasn't too hungry. Some friends ordered the chips and guacamole and a few tacos, which looked really yummy.
I decided to get some after finding out that they were on my list of places to try. I ended up getting a vampiro, carne asada, and a shrimp taco. It's cool to see them make the tacos in front of me and they were pretty big.
The tacos were great and they didn't skimp on the fillings either. I think my favorite was the shrimp taco- I like how it was breaded and it was the most flavorful out of the three that I tried.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Dec 24, 2021
HIDDEN STREET TACOS
...You can find Tury's inside the bar or in the back patio. NOT open as stated on Yelp, but open whenever the bar is open. Order at the bar, pickup at the kitchen in the back patio.
Taco menu! 2 for $10.
ARRACHERA TACO (served with blue flour corn tortilla) - red onion, cilantro, red sauce, pickled onions, guacamole. That's the description. But what is Arrachera? It's skirt steak. I've had this with and without the blue flour tortilla and having it with the blue flour tortilla (if available) makes a world of a difference. And the blue flour tortilla isn't always available - so I will keep it at that. But when I had it, I'm not going to lie, it was probably one of the tastiest Tacos I've had in Barrio Logan. Ingredients is extra fresh, you can see them prepare your meal in the outside kitchen in the back. Everything complimented and balanced well. When I had it, the meat, was juice and flavorful. However the other time I had it was still good but not as amazing as the first time. Different day, different batch, different chef.. I don't know, it was ok. But I want to remember this taco like my first time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
U-10 SHRIMP TACO - pico de gallo cabbage, chipotle Aiole, red onions, cilantro. Not stingy on the shrimp, they were robust looking shrimp. Shrimp batter is extra and if there is extra it needs more crispier exterior than fluff. But overall good flavor, I'd save little above average but close to average. RECOMMEND.
I'd def come back, I've already have, but I am still waiting for them to put blue flour corn tortillas permanently on the menu.
JABA APPROVED. Until the next review...Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 29, 2020
Tury's makes some pretty good street tacos. I ordered my pair of "al pastor" tacos to go, and when I arrived at my car, I realized they did not have any guacamole as tradition dictates and as stated on the menu. I went back and was told they did not have any. I was a little perturbed that I was not told this at the beginning.
Noticing that I was a little upset, the man at the counter took my tacos and put freshly sliced avocado on my tacos, which was a very nice thing for him to do. I do like fresh avocado slices. I told him, "you have avocados, make some guac for the next guy!" They definitely need that creamy guacamole intermingling with all the rest of the ingredients.
Anyways, the tacos were good, a little on the pricey side at three dollars and some change a piece. The al pastor's or the pork meat did not offer that well developed flavor you get from a vertical spit with direct flame on the meat. It was missing that nice charring and smoky flavor. As a result, as "al pastor' tacos go, these were okay. They may have heated on ta flat top or skillet. The meat as well could of been a little more tender and juicier. It was a little on the dry side.
I asked for everything on the tacos, but the amount of chopped wonions and cilantro was quite limited. Also, they need to chop the onions and cilantro more finely. A little more attention to detail would better support these tacos. The corn tortillas were very good.
Nice people.Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Nadia V.Canyon Country, CA23822Feb 21, 2021
Cool little taco spot located inside of the Border X Brewery. The outdoor seating area was nice and they fit plenty of seating in such a small area.
The vampiros was good, a little burnt, but the chicken, cheese and salsa saved it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 8, 2019
Decent tacos! Sauces are legit and they even have the OG guac sauce most places charge you extra for now.
You won't find this place as a stand-alone taco joint as it's located right in the back patio area of Border X. Grab yourself a beer while you're inside, cruise out towards the back, order a taco and sip away while you wait.
Their Al Pastor was legit! Still juicy and portions are generous. Grab your sauces ahead of time as people will be coming out and crowding up the salsa area (beer munchies ain't no joke).
All their other typical taco meat fare is good. You simply can't go wrong with just about anything here. I've came here a couple times and it was never packed in the back as most people are hanging inside listening to live music.
Grab a seat, enjoy some bomb tacos and wash it down with a cold brewskie.Helpful 18Thanks 0Love this 18Oh no 0 - Feb 23, 2019
Taco stand within Border X Brewing!
Beers & tacos, what is a better combination?! They serve pollo, asada, al pastor, chicharron, desserts, & more.
Al Pastor: Delicious!
Chicharron: I thought this would be crispy, but it was just a blob of fat. I did not try it but my husband said it was real good.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Miguel L.San Francisco, CA012Oct 18, 2022
This is the worse thing I've tasted in a long time. I asked for chips and guac and received these chips with some green liquid. The best description is melted play-doh or plastic...not sure how to describe it honestly but it was terrible.

I first came here about a year ago.. and since then it has become a favorite among my taco Tuesday crew. They offer street style tacos.. my favorites being the carne asada and the pastor. The tacos have gone up in price over the past year.. currently you can get 4 tacos for $6 on taco Tuesday.
The outdoor patio is great! You can spend lots of time admiring all the graffiti art or just catching up with friends at one of the picnic tables.
Unfortunately, I am deducting one star.. as my last experience was sub par to the rest. Unbeknownst to me, Turys was the hosting some sort of voting party at their venue. The place was packed!! It took over 30 minutes to order tacos and get our food. Seating appeared super limited. The salsa bar lacked. Also.. why is this place serving pizza now?? I hope this place isn't becoming over rated.. tacos joints should stick to tacos.. and the occasional quesadilla.
Now that this place is just as crowded as Salud across the street.. I'll have to better think where I will spend my taco Tuesday's.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jun 6, 2018
Came here on Taco Tuesday. Not a bad deal, you get 4 tacos for $6, so of course I ordered 8! It was insanely crowded here(I ordered about 7:45pm), and the line was quite long. I probably spent 10 min waiting in line to order. After ordering, I got a beeper to notify me when the order was ready...and this beeper did not go off for literally 20 min! So that's a total of 30 min spent waiting for tacos!
When I got them, honestly they were just average, actually kind of dry for both types of meat...I ordered 4 pollo and 4 asada, and they all come in a tortilla, then you add your toppings at the bar. I was disappointed by the add ons as well, no fresh pico, and everything just looked a bit unappetising in presentation.
I've heard this place was amazing a year ago or so, but maybe as the crowd had come in it's gone down hill. The tacos are a great price, but if I have to wait an insane amount of time to get them, it's just not worth it. On the plus side, a horchata beer is just around the corner, and definitely worth trying if you need something to tide you over while you wait in line.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
