Tsuru

The food here is really great for the location . I'm not looking for the best Japanese restaurant but this definitely does the job . The ingredients are fresh food is make quickly to order and they are VERY diligent in their customer service . Definitely will make sure you have everything you need and more . The atmosphere in here is really cozy too

My daughter loves this place and I can see why great selection of sushi sashimi and maki rolls ....hibachi options. Plenty of parking great shopping center .

Went here for lunch after planning on going to Central Seafood next door only to find that it has closed down. Somewhat begrudgingly and with no other options, we decided to eat at Tsuru. Turned out to be a quite satisfying meal; the portions were very generous, the waitress was helpful and prompt, and the establishment was clean and cozy.

I ordered the pad thai lunch with shrimp, which surpassed expectations. The mound of food could have passed as a dinner portion, and the amount of shrimp was exceptional. The dish is very sweet (a bit sweeter than the pad thai I've had elsewhere) but not overwhelming. I would come back here and order this dish again.

The people I was with ordered bento boxes and sashimi. All dishes were a hearty portion, but the sashimi was the least impressive (especially after having Sushi Mike's, Sazan, etc.). I'd say skip the sushi and stick with the hot entrees.

I've been looking for my solid go to sushi spot and I was happy to find Tsuru. I never gave it a shot before because it's in a strip mall but it's cute inside. The sushi and the service was excellent and they offer a 10% discount if you are Yelp Elite and check it. They have some good lunch and dinner bento box specials as well.

I have been to this restaurant about a half dozen times. Their rolls are hit or miss. Sometimes bland and mushy, sometimes fresher. But I live locally, and they are convenient, not my favorite local sushi place - but closest to my home.

However, I recently visited for a take-out order and had a terrible experience. They ended up giving me the wrong order. I realized when I got home and when I tried to bring it to their attention, the gentleman, who they referred to as the owner, was very rude and dismissive and accused me of outright lying. Not only did they not apologize, but they also didn't offer to fix the mistake. I drove back to the restaurant receipt in hand, to show what I ordered vs what I received. The gentleman refused to speak to me or apologize. It was a huge disappointment, and I will not return to this restaurant. I suggest finding a different sushi spot with better service and attention to detail.

Might be a one-off but this was a really below average restaurant for me. I'll start with the good: I was seated immediately even though my full party was not present. It was clean and they gave our group plenty of space - they even pulled up an extra table to give us more table space. What wasn't great was the food I ordered. I had a scallion pancake and two rolls: shrimp tempura (not crispy, bland) and spicy tuna (hottest/spiciest spicy tuna roll I've ever had). The service was nice, but the food took some time to come out. I really hoped for more but overall - good service but mediocre food at best.

Tsuru is wonderful! We moved to Hartsdale two years ago and have been dining here often since then. The ambience is casual and pleasant. The service is both polite and fast. We have each tried several dishes and all have been delicious. They have a bar if you care to imbibe, soft drinks or tea if not. The whole dining experience is excellent!

Very disappointing. We ordered delivery from here because they're one of the few restaurants that offers a sushi sandwich - the consistency was odd and there wasn't much fish. The other sushi rolls were ok - though the spicy tuna was quite mushy. The pieces of salmon and yellowtail sushi, however, were delicious.

Stick with the pieces of sushi and you'll be fine.

Tried out this place for the first time based on a recommendation. It was just too hot to be cooking your own meal today. We called in the order and it was ready in 10 mins.

We got the salmon teriyaki, pineapple fried rice, and two rolls: cucumber avocado and peanut avocado.

The salmon teriyaki was pretty good for the price ($18) it came on a bed of mixed veggies which was surprising since alot of restaurants only do broccoli as well as a small salad and rice.

The rolls were just ok as expected nothing crazy.

The pineapple fried rice was interesting but not bad!

Overall a positive experience for the price and they were extremely quick to get our order together!

I went for the first time tonight to have my own personal celebration of Lunar New Year and I was happy to see a lot of veggie roll options (12 to be exact) and I had to get scallion pancakes just because. I got mango and cucumber and I rarely see mango rolls on Asian menus so when I saw it I had to get it and I'm so happy I did as it was the freshest mango roll I've had. The drink is their Matcha Rita, as it'll be my go-to drink for how perfect it is for me and that I'll be back to try more things! The staff was so kind as well and was very clean and organized
