Brad, Andrea and Morningstar rocked as instructors! It was exhilarating but I think their enthusiasm made this experience even more eventful! It is a rush. The only concern I had was reaching out for the bar b/c you have to trust who is holding you until you are comfortable with releasing your left hand to the bar. My 9yo daughter and I loved it so much that we signed up for more classes!

      I highly recommend them!

The most fun you can have on the pier. The classes are super fun, the instructors are excellent, and the teacher-student ratio is the best in town for aerials.

The class for people who've never done it before is amazing! I just checked off a bucket list item that I've wanted to do for years and it was sooooo fun! The instructors were amazing and I can't believe what we were able to do having never done anything before! I'd highly recommend trying it out! Even brought my 12 year old who did amazing as well! And on a side note, I love a business who doesn't try to upsell you at any point. So refreshing! I even had to ASK for the Venmo so I could tip them. They didn't ask for anything even though they were so gracious and patient with us. So nice nowadays!!

Best experience I've had during Covid. Highly recommend for the thrill.

      Requirements during Covid:
      1. Face masks on
      2. Two signed waivers
      3. Wear snug-fitted workout clothing
      4. Wear socks
      5. No catching in flying trapeze during Covid
      6. Bring sunblock and water
      7. Believe in yourself and have fun!!

My friend did such an amazing job reserving and finding a great deal for Trapeze on Groupon. The price is normally $140 for 2, but she scored a deal for $95 for 2 on Groupon. The class was 90 minutes with a total of 7 participants per class.

      Parking: 5/5
Parking near the pier is $15 on a Saturday. We arrived at the class 15 minutes early to grab our spots.

      Covid Precautions: 5/5
Each participant stands on their individual island, which was sanitized, to maintain a 6 foot distance. We were also provided a strapping belt which was adjusted by our instructors from behind us to avoid face to face contact.
Before climbing up the ladder, we were instructed to sanitize our hands before securing our belt to the ladder. At the very top of the ladder, we sanitized again before powdering our hands. Everything was super organized and I loved how safe they made me feel.

      Instructors: 5/5
Everyone that works here is super helpful, patient, supportive, and friendly. I can 100% trust that they will ensure my safety. I hope I'm not butchering the spelling of their names, but Sydney, Tanya, and Glen were amazing!

If you can conquer the fear of heights, trust yourself and the instructors, you'll have a blast like I did.

My review is only based off customer service. Other than that, the instructors and good vibes you get from this place deserves 5 stars. I signed up for a 5 class course which cost $288 so $57.60 per class which is a really good deal. I live in Moreno Valley so it's a 2 hour drive just to get there but I wanted to invest the time and gas because it seemed like a lot of fun and it was! After my 3rd class my younger cousin was murdered. I showed up to my 4th class and had no strength or focus so I left 10 minutes after it started. It was really hard to find motivation to do anything and I explained to Kenna I was currently struggling emotionally and needed to take some time off. She told me it was fine & that I could reschedule my makeup classes when I'm ready. However, a month before she told me this she emailed all students workshop info and in that email it states you have 2 weeks to schedule make up classes. I completely forgot about that email and the 2 week rule and waited 3 and a half weeks because in person she told me to come when I was ready. When I tried scheduling the make up classes she told me it was too late and I explained to her that mentally/emotionally I wouldn't have been ready within 2 weeks because I was depressed and going through something terrible and I asked her if there was anything I could do to make up my classes and her response was

"Sorry to hear that you've been having trouble, glad you're on the up tic.

On 8/31 I sent your whole workshop an email clarifying the 2 weeks to
      make up the classes"

I get that that's their make up class rule but you would think they'd make an exception for someone who's struggling mentally. I really wanted to finish my workshop and since I didn't get to it would've been nice to atleast get refunded $115.20 for the 2 classes I didn't get to take or even atleast offered that as a credit towards a new workshop but there was nothing like that offered. To them I had missed the deadline to make up classes and that was that. It makes me feel like this business is more concerned with money than actual customer service. I'm a small business owner and I could never be so strict with my rules after a customer expressed a hard time they're going through but I guess each business is different.

Other than my experience with Kenna, I really enjoyed learning and how encouraging all the students were towards each other. The instructors were very patient and great at paying close attention to detail to let their students know how they can approve. I would still reccomend this school to others who are interested just make sure you are aware of the 2 week rule, lol.

I signed up my two teenagers for this while we visited Santa Monica Pier. It was the best use of our time and money. It is the best thing to do on the pier for their age group. They loved it. They are not afraid of heights and do other activities to stay in shape so it was not hard for them. I recommend you have some flexibility and arm strength to make the most of it, but it sounds like the instructors will work with people at all levels of fitness to create a great experience.

My first time trying flying trapeze, having never done anything even remotely like this before. I just had the best time of my life. So much so that I booked two more lessons and squeezed them in to what remained of my LA trip. Can't wait to do it again.

It's a fantastic location, with great scenery to enjoy and crowds of tourists shouting encouragement. The teaching staff were sensational, giving really great encouragement and feedback to an absolute beginner like me. Huge thanks to Lala, Brian, Kenna and Connor. I only wish I'd discovered this years ago.

Wow, this place lived up to the hype!! I first learned about Trapeze through someone I follow online who always did it and I was always intrigued to try it someday. My birthday is coming up so I thought it was the perfect excuse to try something bold and fun ;)

How this business is handling Covid safety precautions:
      1. Everyone is required to wear a mask from the staff members to students. Everyone must wear a mask at all times even when you are trapezing.
      2. While at the bottom waiting to go up, everyone must stay on their island. It's basically a square platform that ensure you are staying 6 ft apart from everyone.
      3. There are hand sanitizers available. In fact, before you climb up, you have to hand sanitize and once you get up to the top, you have to hand sanitize again.

TIP: If you want to save some money, I highly suggest looking on Groupon for a deal. They have deals on Groupon all the time. I purchased a class for 2 for my friend and I for around $95.00 total. Normally it's $140.00 for 2 ($70.00 each), so this is a really great deal. The deal is good for 1 and a half hour of trapeze lesson. After you purchase your Groupon deal, you visit their site to book your class and you will, then, enter your Groupon voucher code at checkout. After you sign up for your class, you are required to sign 2 waivers. 1 for liability and the other for Covid safety measures. Because of Covid, you have to sign these electronically prior to your class as they will not let you sign on paper in person.

Location: They are located right on the Santa Monica Pier. I'd recommend coming a little early to allow enough time to find parking. You can park at the pier or any nearby lots like we did.

At the start of class, you will be taught all the rules and protocol of trapeze. The staff is good at making it fun and easy to learn. Then, they will write down each student's name on a white board that will indicate the order that person goes. I think to really excel at trapeze you have to really listen to the instructor's commands. They will lead and guide you. As long as you listen to what they tell you to do, you will be fine. The first time can be a little scary while climbing up the ladder and making that first jump, but I promise it gets better after that. The adrenaline you feel from jumping and swinging and conquering those moves can't be beat. Oh, and because this is located on the Santa Monica pier and it is considered one of the most touristy place in LA, be prepared to have a lot of people watching you from afar. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was we weren't offered any pictures or videos of our experience. I know they offer this as mentioned by other reviewers, but I think due to Covid, they couldn't which is understandable. It's okay as we were able to get our own pictures and videos anyway.

All in all, I'd highly recommend this activity for anyone bold enough to try! I promise it's not as scary as it looks. It is perfectly safe and you don't have to be totally fit to do it. This surely won't be my last time and I can't wait to come back again to do it!

Located right on the pier. You can't miss it!

What a fun experience! The coaches were all super super awesome and I felt very safe (Lala, Seneca, and Katy - sorry if I misspelled). They were great at giving instructions and making it a very fun environment. They let you go at your own pace so if you're more advanced you could do more tricks or if you're new you could learn the basics. Highly recommend.

A super-fun, Covid-safe experience for all ages! I took the Flying Trapeze class with my niece and nephews (aged 8-14) on a Friday evening and by the end of the lesson, my little 8-year old nephew said, "BEST Friday ever!"
This is a great experience for families, friends and individuals who are just looking for something cool and fun to do--especially during this pandemic! It's an all-outdoor activity, masks are required at ALL times, and the instructors and staff were extremely conscientious about the safety of everyone.
If I lived closer, I'd definitely consider regular classes.

What you are afraid to do is a clear indication of the next thing you need to do.
      -Ralph Waldo Emerson

My friend was visiting from Sacramento and for her birthday I let her choose an activity she wanted to do! I never knew she was gonna pick such a scary but fun, unique activity!

We bought a groupon for $105 for 2 people that included a 2 hour class. If you buy online the prices are pretty similar so you don't really need a Groupon. This Trapeze school is located right on Santa Monica Pier so you can just park in the beach parking lot next to the pier.

When we arrived we were introduced to instructors Ruth, Brian, and Will. They spent the first 15 minutes going over the instructions, safety, and helping us get our safety gear on. I was very scared but thankfully the staff did a great job helping me get comfortable. There is someone at the top before you swing and someone at the bottom instructing you. You get two instructors helping you at the same time. Ruth was down on the ground instructing us on what to do while Will helped us swing off the bar.

All you need to do is listen to the instructors....seems so simple. Actually it was, for my friend. I was scared when they told me to take my hands off the bar so it wasn't as easy for me to follow directions. Ruth was patient with me and after an hour and a half I finally took my hand off the bar. After the first few swings it's a lot less scary. The good thing was that my friend took directions perfectly and was able to do all the different swings they taught us.

Since they are located right on Santa Monica pier it's perfect for the tourist and the locals. When your up at the top ready to swing you can even see the Ocean. Being a daredevil at the beach is definitely a way to spend the day!

      Tips:
-Don't bother wearing jewelry. Necklaces, earrings, and sunglasses will all need to come off.
-Wear socks (You don't wear shoes so make sure you wear socks without holes or people will see them)
-Bring a friend to try this with. You both will be able to take fantastic photos and videos of each other.
-Be aware you could get dizzy. You will be doing flips, and you do a somersault to exit off the trampoline. I suggest bringing anti-nausea medication just in case.
-You will be sore the next day. I was sore on my arms and my friend was sore behind her knees.
-Lastly have fun! Be brave! You will feel so accomplished afterwards!
