We just bought our 3rd car from Toyota of Richardson. Lonnie helped us first time and we kept going back to him. He genuinely help us in buying a car. He will get you best deal there. Along with Lonnie his manager Patrick always been very helpful. They value their customer and i am very grateful that Lonnie is my sales person. He worked so hard and very humble and happy individual and make transaction very smooth.
I am permanent customer now
Thank you Toyota of Richardson A+++++
5/5 for sure.

So I just called Toyota of Richardson again about the availability of the Avalon Hybrid which was claimed to have been sold when I got there 2 days ago. They said it was still available. I asked for a manager and gave him a mouth full.
I think they do this to get you into their lot and look at other vehicles.
Don't go there. This is the definition of used car salesman.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 30, 2024Previous reviewHas a bad review for a reason. I called, made an appointment to see a specific car, an hour later I got there and they told me "the car is sold".

UPDATE: Another sales manager contacted me over the weekend saying he'd give me the price I'd offered for the car--only to send over an offer than was almost $2k more than I'd offered. DONT waste your time here. Try Van Hyundai in Carrollton if you want an honest deal on a solid vehicle, without the ridiculous pressure, dealer markups, and other shady sales tactics.
Review: Came in last Friday to test drive a pre-owned 2021 base model Subaru Crosstrek, priced at $19,998. Loved the car and the sales guy I initially worked with. However, when it came to discussing the price, the sales manager brought out their "deal" that was over $28k-- an almost 50% markup--I could buy a brand new Crosstrek for that.
After going back and forth for a while, and repeatedly explaining what I was comfortable spending ($2k over asking), the sales manager came out and continuously tried to pressure me into a deal for more money.
This guy got pretty frustrated with me, and even went as far as pointing to his offer price and saying "let's just pretend this is your number and call it a deal." Literally, who does that?
I walked and won't think I'll be back. The car was great, the advertised price was great, and my original sales rep (Bobby) was great, but these high-pressure, borderline bullying tactics from the manager--for a car that's been sitting on their lot for close to 60 days--is wild.
I will absolutely not be back. I can afford to wait for the right vehicle, at the right price--and now I'm getting a great deal from a dealer in San Marcos, on a brand new, better vehicle, for the price I offered Toyota of Richardson.

I have purchased automobiles and had automobiles serviced for years at this establishment and always had high regarding for them until today. When you FLAT OUT LIE to me about something to try to make money you have lost my business forever !!!! We took our car in for service today which they have serviced since it was new. They said it needed around $1,500 worth of additional items repaired because they were broken. I told them I had an extended warranty with Endurance so they called me back and they told me Endurance would pay but they didn't pay their rates so I would still have out of pocket expenses of $600.00.
All of this didn't sound quite right and I am friends with Najib who owns Meineke Car Care Center in Plano & asked if he would check it out and he said sure. I took it to him and he put it on his rack and had one of his mechanics check it out and found NO BROKEN PARTS WHAT SO EVER !!!
He took my car down off the rack and handed me the keys and said NO CHARGE - I have just driven my car into service at Toyota of Richardson for the LAST TIME !!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Zach D.Dallas, TX8711244Apr 17, 2024
I have had my Toyota services here for years for general maintenance and sometimes I leave with only what I came in for. lol. Beth Anne is my service advisor and she is really efficient and easy to work with.
Usually it is a $400 or $800 oil change after we do all the maintenance they suggest but my Rav 4 is at 90K miles and I have had absolutely no issues with it and I think its because I do what this service team recommends.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Emil Munksgaard G.Tampa Bay, FL01Apr 26, 2024
Tip for others: Do yourself a favor and use Reddit and Google to research honest Toyota dealerships that do not charge an arm and a log in bogus extra fees that they omit over the phone.
I want to start off by giving credit where credit is due: The service people working at this location are friendly, courteous and kind - and they will make sure your car is safe and operable.
The business itself, however, is built on shady and dishonest practices designed to maximize financial exploitation.
The salesperson, Jacob, took advantage of my situation knowing that I needed to get a loved one on the road ASAP. I was in the market for a specific model, and Toyota Richardson had just the used car with color, trim and options I had been looking for. I phoned the dealership, scheduled time to come in, and was excited to move forward.
Picked up a wonderful Toyota that I am very happy with, but the purchasing experience was the worst I've had so far (have purchased 5 cars total). This specific Toyota location will charge you for absolutely EVERYTHING - and give you no choice what services they opt you in for. Be aware that on top of customary dealership and doc fees, Toyota Richardson (which is owned by a large, multinational investment firm) may force a $4000 mandatory additional "prep and maintenance" package regardless of whether you can take care of your car yourself or not.
I came to the dealership, test drove the vehicle, and agreed on a sales price. After 10 minutes with his boss, Jacob the salesperson came back with a written-up contract that had a $4000 maintenance package and additional dealership fees added to it not disuccsed when we negotiated out-the-door purchase price. Jacob assured me all Toyota dealerships in the country would add fees of these amounts, and that I'd only waste my time walking out the door. Having had very honest interactions with Toyota in Florida in the past, I took Jacob's word for truth and decided to move forward with the transaction.
However, not only was the statement a lie that all Toyota dealerships have uniform fee structures - the same dealership does not even charge all used vehicle customers into the same arrangement. Upon getting in touch with other customers who purchased around the same time, it's clear to me that Toyota Richardson does NOT charge these fees for all customers, and does NOT force all used vehicle sales into maintenance contracts. I've compared sales contracts with others from around the same time, and my salesperson Jacob was dishonest when he let me know I was getting the same deal forced on everyone at Toyota and this location specifically.
It was an incredible disappointment, and looking back, I wish I had walked out the door after being tricked into wasting 4 hours of my life on a falsely advertised and then falsely negotiated sales price. One of my biggest financial regrets in life so far is doing business with Toyota Richardson. It was a true eye-opener to me that car dealerships even of reputable companies like Toyota have varying standards on a customer-to-customer basis. I completely understand having to pay fees for the convenience of dealerships doing tag and title work, but $5000+ thousands of dollars on customers at the time of signing AFTER a negotiation is deeply dishonest and inappropriate, particularly under the disguise that this is a standard Toyota practice. I think most sane people can agree that $5500+ in additional dealership fees for a $15-20k car transaction is simply bonkers - and I'll be the first person to admit was in the wrong for not walking out. Boy have I come to regret the decision since.
Bought the car because it was exactly what I wanted and needed to get a loved one on the road ASAP, but my experience at Toyota Richardson made sure I will always have this experience in the back of my mind when I think about buying a car. As a relatively new person in DFW, this was an incredibly heartreaking and upsetting experience that I have spent many nights worrying about.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 20, 2023
Jesse E. was amazing. He was quick and efficient with everything. He translated everything for my husband that is Spanish spoken.( I am English spoken)
He made sure we were comfortable with pricing and was able to get within our budget. The process took us less time than I thought it was going to.
He been quick to response to any random questions (within business hours) I have texted over to him. I will recommend him to anyone needing a new car!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Deborah S.Houston, TX04Mar 18, 2024
About 3 years ago we bought a used 2015 Toyota Highlander with around 72,000 miles. Recently, with 187,000 miles the engine has blown. Our Camry (backup car) is a 2012 and has 275,000 miles. It is still running! We overpaid for a type of vehicle we thought would last for a long time, at least until 200,000 miles. Very, very disappointed with this Highlander!!

DON'T TRUST a word these reps say!! Online price is one number but when we came to test drive there was an additional $10,000 worth of inspection fees!!!! I understand there are extra fees but those people are making up ridiculous numbers when they see you! The manager is arrogant and unpleasant to reason with. I will never recommend this dealership to friends and family!
