Top Nails Design

Went in here for the first time because my usual spot (Sunset) is closed on Mondays.

Here's what I love:
-New pedicure chairs, new everything it seemed
-$28? (I think) Mani/pedi deal Monday- Wednesday, not gel... only regular mani which didn't help me
-the girl who did my pedicure was personable and very attentive to anything I needed including fixing my chair, helping me plug my phone in, knowing to use extra paper between my big & second toe, awesome 20 min. massage with the $65 spa pedicure
- they created an awesome design on my nails for $5 using a picture I found on the internet
-curved around top tip of nail with gel with polish & cured before 2nd layer to prevent chipping

I'm leaving 4 instead of 5 stars because:
- although the girl who did my pedi was awesome, the man who did my mani was not personable at all which was disappointing after such a positive pedicure experience
-the door kept opening & slamming due to the wind and it kept scaring the sh*t out of me (please get it fixed!) totally ruined my zen

I really hate giving bad reviews and I like encouraging local businesses, but the customer service and quality of the service needs some improvement here. I got my nails done, just a regular mani pedi and the lady Cindy was anything but friendly. She did a very poor job, nails look like they were done by a second grader, she applied three layers of nail polish which even after 30 min was not dried; nails cut uneven and a very sour attitude. I noticed that the other customers were getting a back massage but she got another customer so she skipped this part. Not a biggie but still.. we all pay the same. Maybe tipping in advance is not a good idea.

Great space with incredibly friendly staff. I've only been twice but the owner struck up a conversation with me and I feel like I know her whole life story now haha. Clean facilities, good work (my nails look lovely!), and convenient location.

This is my Mom's new nail place since her move out of the city to Yorktown. I dropped in at 4 pm on a Thursday without an appointment and was able to get a manicure without any wait time.

Pretty good / just above average selection of Essie and OPI nail polishes. If you like Bahama Mama, buy your own and bring it since they don't have it.

My manicure was $10 and I paid the $1 for the 'quick dry' top coat. It works folks. You can also buy a bottle and bring it with you each time (cost-effective).

The standard manicure / pedicure is $30. I know because I bought Mom a gift certificate (yes they do them) for Mothers Day. (planning ahead to make her happy!)

It's clear this is a neighborhood place. Several customers were very friendly with the staff, they seemed to know each other well and there are hundreds of photos of clients and their families on the walls.

And they do a loyalty card - maybe 10 or so visits and you get a free manicure. Just nine more ...

I went to Top Nail to get a pink gel set. The next day one nail broke off and two of them were cracked. This set was 80 dollars. I was so upset. Honestly I will never go back there, they are the worst nail salon I have ever been too. If you are looking to pay a fortune and have nails break off then this is the place for you.

Worst nail salon I've ever been in. Went in to get my eyebrows waxed and they completely ruined them. Then, seeing that I was upset, the owner acted extremely rude & even proceeded to laugh at me. I highly recommend you never step foot in this terrible nail salon
