I would highly recommend this salon! My sister and I really wanted to get a scalp treatment during our trip to NYC. We found this place online and had a great experience. My stylist's name was Toki. His service went above and beyond- he was so polite and respectful. The treatment started with a long scalp massage with some type of product. Very relaxing. There was another treatment at the shampoo bowl. I also booked a blowout, and Toki did a great job- I loved how my hair looked afterward!

The shop is pretty small and I think by appointment only. There's really only room for about 3 customers in there at a time.

I was highly impressed with the service and would definitely recommend them!

Extremely disappointed with my experience here. Got partial highlights ($210), hair gloss ($60) and haircut ($110).

I had previous highlights but needed touch up. Because of the hair gloss, my previous highlights became non-existent. The new highlights were def not worth the cost. I've been to the three most popular Japanese salon in the UES and this is by far the worst of them all in terms of coloring.

The hair cut was also subpar unfortunately.I didn't get any of the layers I typically get. I believe this is due to hairdressers technique or limited skills set.

The competition of Japanese hair salons on the UES/midtown is too steep here for this place to charge what they charge at this quality.

Had haircut with natural dry with Masaki this past week. I'm very picky about my hair and this is one of the few times I went to a hair salon and came out with exactly what I described. Masaki listened very carefully to what I wanted and was absolutely meticulous about the cut. He's quiet bc he's so focused during the cut. He started on wet hair and ended with more detailing and texturizing on dry hair. Even at the very end he asked me to feel my hair to make sure it had the right weight. Love my hair and will be back to see Masaki again.

WOWWWW! Absolutely life changing head spa experience with Masaki. Found out about this concept via Tik Tok & was able to snag a last minute appt here. I got the 50 min head spa with blow dry. It was absolutely worth every penny & more. I would fly back to NYC just for this. The salon was very clean & Masaki did an amazing job. I left feeling so relaxed & my scalp feeling clean

Amazing treatment! I was nervous as my hair is a bit damaged from coloring and bleaching but it was heavenly. I already can't wait to go back. I got the scalp massage and cleaning and my hair is so clean, soft, and fluffy. Everyone there is friendly and kind, the space is cute and clean! Cannot recommend enough.

Great experience. I had Tokimitsu for a 30 minute head spa and he was fantastic, clearly put care and attention into his work. I got there about 10 minutes early and he was ready to start with me right away. He checked in with me on ingredients, pressure, methods, etc to make sure they were tailored to my preference. The treatment was very relaxing (my main reason for going) and my scalp feels great. Worth every penny and I will be recommending this shop and Tokimitsu to my friends. If you were thinking about trying a Japanese head spa I had a really good experience here.

      Safety/accessibility notes:
-the shop is small, and is only set up for two clients at a time, so you will not be in the shop with many people.
-Tokimitsu wore a cloth mask and the other stylist their client were also both in surgical masks.
-as mentioned, the shop is quite small, so it may be difficult if not impossible to navigate it with a wheelchair. Even a walker might be tricky.

This place is great!!! I've now had two haircuts with Toki and they are the top two haircuts of my entire life. Toki has a very calming presence, takes time to assess my hair beforehand and to make sure he understands what I would like, and never makes me feel rushed. He takes so much care in washing my hair including a thorough and amazing neck and scalp massage. He is meticulous when cutting and drying my hair and always checks in to make sure I'm happy with how it's looking. The salon itself also has a calm, clean atmosphere and I always leave excitedly anticipating when I can come back! Could not recommend this salon highly enough

I booked an appointment on a whim to cut and color before starting my new job. As luck would have it, I got and appointment with Toki.

I never know what to do with my hair. He said to me "golds and browns are okay, but I think red is your color." RED IT IS! He blended out my over grown roots into a beautiful red and cut my hair into a beautiful severe angled bob. My head feels so much lighter!

I really appreciate his quiet nature as I enjoy peaceful silence. From start to finish this was a fabulous experience. I can't wait to go back.

Very, very odd experience with this salon. I booked the appointment and it was confirmed, but six days before the appointment Toki messaged me saying he was feeling sick and would not be keeping the appointment - yes, six days out. No offer to reschedule and no response when I inquired about it. I've never experienced this before. YMMV.

Toki is a meticulous and thoughtful salonist who gave me the best haircut I've had in years. My hair requires little to no styling now and I definitely will be returning!
