City West Construction was beyond expectations! Everything was done to perfection and the crew was extremely professional. The job was done on schedule and if anything needed attention they obliged. We
found Tommy Neesom, the owner, to be frequently on site to oversee the work and his crew was always polite, courteous and respectful of our privacy. We give the company five stars and will surely have them back again.

We used TNC Construction for a job in our family home in San Francisco and couldn't have been happier with the work during the construction...and the final product turned out very well.

We had several projects...remove a fireplace, install a closet, install shelves, fix a wall, etc. Many of these items were extremely dusty although we barely noticed this thanks to the containment unit they installed and the diligence of the workers to remove their shoes.

Tommy had a great crew working on our house and he checked in every morning and often every afternoon to make sure the project was progressing as expected and that the quality was high. On one occasion there was a small issue that came up due to a miscommunication and Tommy took care of it in a most professional manner.

I highly recommend TNC Construction. We are pleased with the final product and will definitely look to use them again in the future.

Like most homes in San Francisco, our home is over a hundred years old (built circa 1911) with lots of character. "Character" is a funny word to describe a home, especially when it is used as a euphemism for "ship wreck" or "hobo shack" on MLS. But I digress.

You see, Tommy is a great contractor (and person) when it comes to our hobo sh- uh, home with character. He doesn't give you a pessimistic view of what will pan out. He doesn't give you a scowl as you mention that you want this placed here, and the wife wants that thing there. He gets it done with a smile and optimism. As he is knowledgable, he helped guide us towards materials and ideas about layout... and the small details. He also really works well with his (at times motley, but always professional) crew.

Our bathroom was in need of a remodel before the little one came. We had a non-functioning chimney stack knocked down for extra room, a new double sink placed, sheet-rock, tiling, new toilet, lighting, mirrors, bathroom door, shower door, new tub, and heated floors...all done in about 6 weeks (with time off during the holiday season). In order to save on diapers, he also managed to fit me in for my own painting- which my wife said was "adequate". Gee, thanks, hon.

The end product was awesome! It matches with the character of our old Victorian except more updated. We are so happy that we are going to ask Tommy to do our kitchen...but my wife doesn't want me to paint anymore.

Tommy and his crew did a fantastic job remodeling our 1911 San Francisco home. The house needed more work than was originally scoped (turns out the foundation was in much worse shape than we expected), and he managed to get the extra work done well and still get us to move in on time.

He has a number of subcontractors to do various kinds of work, and all but one of them were excellent. The one in question was an electrician who was capable enough, but couldn't get the work done quickly enough, so Tommy sent in a "cleaner" (think Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction or Jean Reno in the Professional), a different electrician who got everything done quickly and easily.

They did a vast amount of work over the course of about 4 months:
* replaced our foundation completely and poured a new slab in the basement/garage
* tore down the main and second floors of the house to the studs and rewired, re-plumbed and insulated it
* installed bamboo floors
* recreated the cove ceilings we had throughout the house; they looked even better than the original
* built new support walls and put in new support beams downstairs
* referred us to a great painter whose team made our home pretty on the inside and out
* sent in a great plumber to redo the sewer/update the gas service/prep the kitchen for the remodel
* rebuilt the fence in the backyard

He is a good communicator, whether by email, phone or text. And he and his crew are very pleasant to work with, and even socialize with in some cases.

We would definitely work with him again, if and when we decide to expand our home. We've already recommended him once, and would gladly do so again.

Tommy was referred to us through a family member who is an architect. He was highly recommended as an honest, professional contractor that does fantastic work and has lots of experience working on SF homes.

When we were shopping for a home in SF, Tommy came out to look at 2 houses and provided estimates on possible renovation projects. He didn't charge for his time. After we purchased a 1913 home without grounded outlets he sent one of his electricians to create a temporary fix.

Tommy is very responsive to email and is always on time for meetings. We got a bid for our kitchen remodel but decided to go with another contractor to meet our budget. I would have loved to work with Tommy!!

We hired Tommy to install a ceiling fan in the bathroom of our 100+ yr old Edwardian flat. Tommy and his crew completed the job (which required ceiling construction and electrical work) with precision. They were incredibly professional, very clean, and timely.

I would highly recommend Tommy.

We did a full remodel of our home a few years ago (with a contractor other than Tommy). They did a great job, but there were a few loose ends that I couldn't get them to come and fix. Finally gave up and called Tommy.

Had him fix nine doors in total. Several of the doors were very large and required some complicated hardware. He did a great job. Would highly recommend.

THE BEST! Tommy is the nicest guy, knowledgeable, timely, EXCELLENT craftmanship....all this for a price that couldn't be beat ! Tommy and his crew installed crown molding and chair molding in 3 rooms and a hallway in my victorian house. Tommy communicated well, was on time, on budget.

I am having my kitchen (last touched in the 1920s and bombed during WWII) remodeled later this year and I will DEFINITELY be looking for Tommy to do the work !

Tommy worked on our house in Oakland and did a wonderful job!! He was professional, responsive, and super helpful throughout the process!! He is by far the best contractor we have worked with and we are thrilled with the final product!!

My husband and I hired Tommy to remodel the deck in the back of our house. We have been very happy with the work Tommy and his crew have done! They are all very nice and respectful and the quality of work that they do is fabulous. Tommy's attention to detail is wonderful. The workers cleaned the work area every day before they left, especially when they were working inside our house. Tommy wasn't necessarily working at our house every day, but he would at least stop by most days and was very easy to get a hold of if I had a question or concern. He was very willing to work with me to make the project turn out as we wanted and his suggestions helped it turn out even better than I imagined!

I would definitely recommend Tommy to anyone looking for a contractor!
