Thomson AC

I couldn't be happier with the service I got from Thomson AC, but first I have to sincerely apologize to the technicians for making them wait - and I'm astonished they waited. I'm a night owl, and I slept through repeated banging on the door and ringing of the bell, and finally woke up 1.5 hours past our scheduled appointment time of 8 AM.

Much to my astonishment, they had been waiting there all that time. I am incredibly embarrassed and grateful to them. Anyone else would have left after 5 minutes - I know I would have.

But back to their service. It was absolutely flawless from start to finish, and as someone in business myself, I have to commend their admin team for the flawless transition between one department to another. I submitted my quote request, they responded right away, they called me right away to schedule a virtual appointment (because who wants random people knowing their address and trampling through their house before getting a quote?). Literally 5 minutes after that, I received a call to complete the virtual appointment. Then I got a detailed and comprehensive quote within an hour, was informed of their 0% interest financing plan. And my appointment was booked for two days later.

Talk about efficiency. Not a lot of people appreciate that type of coordination, so kudos to Christina and Lupe!

Their pricing was reasonable, I think I could have gotten lower elsewhere but I did not want to compromise on the quality of the unit (Bosch, and not some off-brand item), and they even registered me for the warranty after installation was completed. I checked my email and was like "I don't remember submitting that," turns out they did it for me, which was fantastic because I would have forgotten.

They didn't try to upsell me a more powerful unit for my small room size. I felt very comfortable talking to and interacting with every single team member, from the admin staff to the planner, to the techs. The techs were polite and respectful of my home, and even took off their shoes without prompting once they saw that I had my shoes outside. My new unit is awesome, and my little office that faces the sun at all hours of the day is now habitable and not a literal oven by afternoon.

I had a broken switch in my furnace that needed to be fixed for home warranty. The insurance contractor they sent out was horrible and condescending that I didnt want to work with them. So I had come to Yelp to find someone to help with our problem. Sent out a a bunch of requests but thankfully found Thomson AC. Josh was so fast to respond to me and super polite and patient with understanding my issue to truly help resolve my problem. He was also very transparent with me that they have a $90 inspect fee but if you do proceed with them, the $90 goes towards the repair cost.

They were able to schedule me within the week and fixed my issue day they came out to inspect. Tom was super courteous and knowledgeable when he stopped by. He explained the issue I had and also warned me of a more dangerous issue I should be aware of. I asked him how much the repair would cost and having both done ended up being cheaper than the original quoted estimate! It was an easy decision to get both done. Tom was very fast to pick up the parts and resolve the broken switch and the other issue. The job was easily completed within 2-3 hours.

I would definitely reach back out to Thomson AC if I have any other issues in the future with HVAC/furnace. They did a superb job for me and I hope for the folks reading this review, it helps you with going with them. Seems reasonable with how many reviews and highly rated they are. Can't go wrong with them!

I was referred to Thomson AC by a neighbor who had received great service from them. I did my due diligence by getting 3 quotes and, in the end, very happy with Thomson! From the initial quote through installation I was kept informed and updated on their progress. I highly recommend Thomson if you're looking to add AC or upgrade your system.

Thomson just updated my whole ac and heater unit. Their technicians were knowledgeable, respectful, and clean. They came in at 10k less than their competition for the same exact stuff, line for line compared them and others. Strongly advise using them for any ac needs.

We had to get our A/C system moved and replaced (original A/C unit on the house we purchased was not permitted). Since the unit was old, we also changed it out for a heat pump. From start to finish, Thomson AC provided 5 star service. Brandon came to give us a quote and do a walkthrough. He provided excellent customer service. He not only came to our house twice to make sure we were all comfortable with everything, but he also went to city hall himself to ask questions about permitting rules, and to get the permit himself. Installation was scheduled promptly and the technicians worked hard to remove and relocate our system. We are very pleased with the communication as level of service Thomson A/C provided. In addition, we got several other quotes and Thomson a/C's quote was the most affordable!

The Thomson AC team is absolutely amazing! They not only sorted out the furnace mess left behind by another company but also saved us from some serious damage caused by a bunch of complete fools. These guys are true professionals, and you won't find them engaging in any shady business. Their expertise and professionalism shine through. I highly recommend them!

Disappointing. I selected Thomson to install a new heat pump based on my initial perception of their quality of service, but have been frustrated and disappointed so far. I've been having issues with my new heat pump, but it's difficult to reach Thomson for assistance - they don't answer the phone, return calls, nor respond to texts. Additionally, Thomson does not follow up on repairs and replacements that they've promised. In fact, a manager was unaware of a warranty replacement that a technician had confirmed. Further, the heat pump installation was sloppy - who installs a system with nuts/bolts missing!

It's interesting that Thomson was quick to respond when earning my business, but slow and unreliable after they're paid. Brandon Hayes was the project manager - he was helpful and responsive, but after the heat pump was installed, no response. Based on my experience, it seems that Thomson cares more about the transaction, rather than building a long-term business relationship and customer loyalty.

Anthony and Glenn came right away when our heater stopped working and put a new igniter that had gone out. They were kind and thorough and we are really lucky to call them our only heat/ac company - we trust them 100%!!!

Used Thomson AC to replace my 20-yr old AC unit and furnace. Tim was great, very easy to work with and answered all my questions. Overall, gave me a nice comfort level of what to expect.

The crew came by a couple days later and did a great job of installing/completing on time. Their patch and paint guys stopped by several days later to tidy everything up. Very satisfied with the price and service that I got from the Thomson team!

Thomson AC is incredible, and we're probably never going to use another AC company.

We originally used them only for ducting work when we first bought our home 4 years ago. We ended up going with a different company for our heatpump once ours died, but they failed to install some of the metalwork properly in our garage. Essentially, air was blowing like mad into our garage rather than into our house! After some additional research, we called Thomson AC and Ryan Lee came out. He worked on some fixes and they ultimately sent out their sheet metal guru who fabricated a whole new plenum (or whatever it's called). It's been working like a dream the last 2 years.

Fast forward to the 4th of July weekend this year and air stops blowing through our vents. Sometimes it would start but then stop blowing. We finally changed our filter and everything seemed fine. We had Thomson AC come out for maintenance anyway and we got Ryan again! He checked everything and poor guy ended up basically weeding part of our patio by the condenser because weeds have taken over after the crazy SoCal rains this winter/spring. He also wore shoe covers into our house (we don't allow shoes indoors). Luckily, everything looked good! It was probably just a really overdue filter change.

We really wanted to leave this review because not only has Ryan been so friendly (and funny!), helpful, and efficient, the process of scheduling an appointment with Thomson AC over text and the ability to "track" where the technician is when they're on the way to our home made everything so much easier. Definitely will be recommending them to everyone we know and sticking with them in the future.
