The first time I came here was for a recruiting event, so it was a smaller group of us who did some regular yoga and then some aerial yoga. Dani was our instructor and she was very patient with all of us and stressed the importance of taking the poses slowly especially with the aerial yoga since a lot of us had never done it before.

My second time at The Yoga Bar was with my sister, and we came for a Supernatural Selfcare class. Normal prices for a one-time drop in are $14 and this one was $20, but includes a restorative yoga class, teachings about essential oils, hand massage, facial, foot soak, and some snacks that incorporated the oils. I thought the yoga class could have moved a little faster or had more variety in the stretches, but maybe I was just struggling to slow my mind and whatnot.

I'm a traveling yogi. And i'm in Waco a lot, but hadn't found any dedicated yoga studios.

      Enter The Yoga Bar!

I was so excited when I stumbled across this Yoga studio online! And I was especially excepted to find out it was a heated yoga studio. I am totally a power, vinyasa, heated yogi.

If you do a quick browse of The Yoga Bar's website and facebook, you'll instantly see how excited they are to bring more yoga to Waco!

I went in for the Unwind-Heated class, which I felt was a little bit restorative yoga a little bit vinyasa yoga. The heat was great, not too stifling and a good amount of moisture.

The schedule has a good mix of class types and times, but I do wish there were other classes besides Unwind-Heated in the after-work hours.

The studio is a nice space too. Simple and calming. It's also located next to the Crossfit Waco, which might help you find it, as the store sign isn't very visible from 8th Street.

Can't wait to go back and try the other classes!

I went to The Yoga Bar on recommendation from a friend. I am a beginner with a disability and also limited flexibility/range of motion. There was no real welcome from the instructors. There was some direction as to where things were located (changing rooms etc). But they didn't show much interest in me as a first time guest (I mentioned it was my first class). There was no real concern as to whether we were doing poses correctly. (Physically this matters...you could hurt yourself!) Everyone in the class virtually ignored me. I got a very "clique" type vibe from the people that worked there. There didn't seem to be a big variety of age level or ability. I don't think I will be going back.

Such a great studio. Great staff and fun classes. Definitely recommend the GLOW courses for people looking to sweat. Unwind classes are a good mixture of movement and relaxation.
      Highly recommend!

Traveled to Waco for work and dropped in for a class at The Yoga Bar. Great location. They had a mat I could borrow and even hair-ties. Beautiful studio, good atmosphere, nice instructors. I will drop in again if I've ever back in Waco. Highly recommend.

I love the yoga bar! I started attending classes regularly (at least once a week) at the beginning of last fall, and now attend several times a week. The staff and instructors are super friendly and they all get to know you and your name once you start going regularly. I've mainly only taken classes with Kelsey and Kathleen, but they're both knowledgable and very helpful if you have questions about postures, buying yoga mats, or stretches you could do to help release tension built with exercises you do outside of class. Each instructor and each type of class has a different vibe, and the flow of the classes vary each time, so I recommend trying a few to see what you like most for what works with your schedule. Some instructors are more hands on than others, but they're always thoughtful in asking if you're comfortable with that or not. And the cool cloth on your forehead at the end of class is probably the best part :) Highly recommend!
