Such a special find. Check out the Roosevelt Room for authentic cocktails from back in the day. Dilpreet took great care of us creating amazing cocktails and taking time to answer our questions too!
We will be back next time we are in AUS!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2024
Great spot downtown for drinks with friends or coworkers. I've been to Roosevelt Room a few times in different settings (happy hour with coworkers, casual Saturday night drinks with friends), and it's always fun.
The inside of Roosevelt Room is decently large, and they have a number of seating options, from booths for larger groups to high tops and bar seating for smaller tables. All the seating is roomy and comfortable, and even when they're packed, it's not unbearably crowded.
They have a number of drink options on their menu, all of which are tasty and well made. We also did a few shots, which came in super fancy shot glasses complete with garnishes and were very reasonably priced.
Roosevelt Room is a great spot for almost any location - fancy but not stuffy, high quality but not price prohibitive.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley M.Los Angeles, CA1142209724Mar 28, 2024
In Austin, was feeling some fancy cocktails and snacks one night. Decided to come to the RR and definitely happy we did. No reservation meant we had to sit in the upstairs bar, where the cocktail list is a bit smaller (though still significant). There was a bachelorette party when we went and it was very Texy, but overall the spot was dark, classy, diverse, with foreign films being silently screened on the wall.
I love the bar's aesthetic--hip and classy but casual--and the extensive cocktail list includes a number of historical drinks through the ages as well as house creations.
I opted for the Roosevelt Room Old Fashioned, which, with its branded ice cube, was a beautiful presentation. One of my companions opted for a dirty vodka martini; the other for the Cigar Box, which wins pretty much all cocktail presentation forevermore. All drinks were incredibly tasty, and the service was spectacular as well.
Because we came for snacks, too, we...well, we went a little crazy. The sumac and pepper popcorn was my favorite. Perfectly popped with enough flavor to keep me coming back for more. I love popcorn. We also ordered the sweet & spicy nuts, which were, unsurprisingly, delicious. The seasonal pickle plate was another winner for me. If you pickle it, I will eat it. More traditional pickled veg (think sweet peppers, beets, etc) plated up next to pickled strawberries and blackberries--genius. Loved this as well. We also ordered the potato pancakes, which were good, but not my favorite dish here. Lastly, we got the salade verte, which I really enjoyed--but a word to the wise: the shallot in this sucker is going to make your breath horrible.
All in all, this was a great spot to experience. If I lived in Austin, I don't think I would come by often, but it's definitely a great locale for when you're feeling fancy drinks in a fun, casually classy environment.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 25, 20241 check-in
Wow what can I say?! An absolute must experience in ATX!! This bar is truly wonderful. Make reservations! The drink menu is HUGE. Filled with tons of options for everyone. It's a quaint, classy bar that reminds me of an old speakeasy. Playing on the wall were old classic movies like Citizen Kane. Loved this feature of the bar. It was SLAMMED on Thursday when we went, but our waitress, Hannah, was on her game! This girl was amazing, y'all. She gave us the best recommendations and was so incredibly knowledgeable of every single drink on the menu. Really impressive. Here's everything we got:
-Another Drink in the Well
-Jingu Bang
-Buck to the Future
-Cigar Box
-Milk Punch
-Pink Squirrel
-Espresso Martini
All were divine! Some of the best cocktails I've ever had! I would go back here every week if I lived in ATX.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 7, 2024
WOOOW LOVE! No doubt one of the best cocktail bars in Austin.
Ambiance is a vibe -- moody, dark, intimate, 1920s Gatsby-esque.
Drinks are on point, literally everything we tried was exceptional and beautiful. There are also some drinks on the menu that are inventively presented but not just gimmicky -- each drink is PHENOMENAL with a gorgeous, curated combination of flavors
Some call-outs:
Jingu Bang -- banana bread in a drink. This tequila-based drink is cinnamony and comforting with egg white foam and caramel garnish
Cigar box -- the coolest! A mezcal drink with tobacco essence and flamed cinnamon stick
Another drink in the wall -- winner of 2023 cocktail competition, coffee cocktail with banana pudding foam
Pink squirrel -- comforting and creamy
Don't think twice - this will absolutely become one of your favorite spots!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 9, 2024
Really nice room with great atmosphere and good service.
We had several drinks, of course none of which I can remember the name of, but they have pics on the website you can match them up to. Overall we enjoyed all the drinks we got with the exception of the milk carton (forgot the name but it comes in a really nice clear milk carton.). It wasn't bad just not in our wheelhouse. The other drinks were recommended by the waiter and fit well with our preferred flavor profile.
We did get a piece of the cheesecake and didn't love it. It was pretty good but not at the same level as the drinks.
Highly recommend for great drinks in a nice environment. The menu is huge, so you definitely want to ask the waiter to help find the right drink for you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jasmine B.Long Beach, CA912335Apr 21, 2024
Super unique and fun bar! My husband and I ordered the potato pancakes, matcha pistachio ice cream and 2 presidents drinks. Service and ambiance were great, I would 100% recommend trying this bar out if you haven't.

4.5 stars. Roosevelt Room is the perfect date night spot if you love a good cocktail. It's dim lit and decorated with velvet couches and funky art which makes for the perfect vibe. When you first walk in they have all of their awards on the wall for top cocktail bar basically like every year, and I can certainly see why! I loved our waiter he was very attentive and made us some off menu drinks specific to what we were feeling. I feel like all of the speakeasies that I've been to lately had strict time policies and I really liked that Roosevelt Room did NOT rush us out. We stayed for quite some time because the drinks were well made. Loved it!

We love the Roosevelt room as a place for special occasions! I came here with a couple of my friends who had never been here before and they were astonished by the sheer volume of cocktails that were available to the point that it was almost too overwhelming to choose. Luckily our waitstaff was so great. He asked for our favorite flavor profiles and gave us very good recommendations!
