I was just in this shopping plaza and was sad to see that the Public House is no more. It was a great place for craft beer and higher end liquor and it had a great atmosphere and the staff was incredible.
I shall miss this establishment. I had a lot of great times here.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 9Oh no 0 - Jul 10, 2022
What a fabulous selection of beers across the nation. This sleepy little bar was busy when I popped in there before 5 on a weekday, I knew it had to be good. Their happy hour was amazingly affordable. I enjoyed the service and hospitality from Carlos. Would definitely come back next time in in the area.

Nice crowd, didn't take long for service. Bartenders were welcoming & knowledgeable. She gave us a few recommendations once we asked about the drinks posted. Very reasonable prices. Clean establishment. Carlos I believe his name is, was wonderful! Don't remember the music but we had a good time. We didn't stay long bc they don't serve food but we'll definitely be returning.

A few of us headed here before a UYE for some cocktails and Carlos did not disappoint! He was an absolutely wonderful bartender and he definitely knows how to make some good cocktails!
I went with an $8.00 old fashioned and it was perfectly made, in my opinion. I feel like a lot of bars that don't specialize in cocktails will try and add filler in an old fashioned that makes it "spritzy" and there was no spritz to be found in this one! This old fashioned was perfectly balanced with the bitters and bourbon and nicely garnished as well!
The Public House has an array of cocktails they make. There is a board up on their wall to the left that have $8.00 cocktails, which are the more traditional and then there's a board up on the right side of the wall that has $10.00 cocktails that are a bit more adventurous. All I can say is that if Carlos is making the cocktails, they're all sure to be great! There's also a very large selection of craft beer here as well, which a few of my friends went with that option. I was very excited to see that they had Old Rasputin on nitro!!!
As for the atmosphere, it's just a very relaxed vibe. We were here on a Saturday at 5:30 and were the only ones in the bar. I have no idea what this place is like at late night, but I'd be curious to find out. It's been a long time since I've been to a "college bar" at peak hours. Either way, I'll definitely be back to The Public House when I'm back in the area for a drink!Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Dec 6, 2019
Not to be confused with Pubic House, which is a little more, I don't know... genital?
Excellent college pub near UCF in Orlando, which is more of a little hipster hang out than it is a typical College.
We only stopped in here for about 15 minutes, but we would definitely come again, and even though it's a little overpriced it's a really lovely space as well, and it's right next to some Boba so that gives us an extra incentive to come back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Sep 6, 2019
Cute little bar! My hubby and I were looking for a couple happy hour joints to hop and this is the first place that popped up. They have board games to play and TVs to enjoy sports. There a lots of high top tables and booths, in addition to the long bar. I love that the music is not blaring so you can hear your conversations.
I saw a review that mentioned food, so I asked the bartender, Drew, if they served food and he said "no", but we are more than welcomed to bring our own!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ginger L.Tampa Bay, FL30886933037Aug 20, 2020
College bars don't have to always just be "college bars." And The Public House is proof!
This local joint is attached (and possibly co-owned) by a liquor store. You can literally get anything your heart desires. The tap list is massive and changes frequently. Super unique beers, local beers, and also some true blues. I have found so many of my *favorite beers* thanks to the suggestions of bartenders at The Public House.
If I'm not drinking a beer here I am likely getting some moonshine. The peach pie seems to be a standard. But it does change (it also sells out).
The Public House doesn't serve food and so they are more than happy to allow you to bring your own. Pizza parties? Sushi takeout? Bags on bags on bags of m&m's I've seen and done it all!
There is WiFi, there out outlets, and the bathrooms are super clean. What does this mean? Well, if you ask me it means it's a perfectly suitable location to work, or study.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0 - Apr 5, 2019
This is a great little place with great drinks and a friendly atmosphere. The staff was always attentive to us and they had lots of board and card games to play. We chose cards against humanity and had a blast.
We popped in on a Thursday evening and there was just enough seating for the people there.
Overall, an enjoyable experience!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 13, 2018
Good craft beer bar, lots of cans and bottles of very desirable breweries. There are some tables, there is live music some nights, and a space outside where you can/cannot drink? It's murky... And there are lots of food options nearby and across the street. This is a nice area to hang, or maybe to hide.
