I was hoping this place would have some great pizza since it is in walking distance my friends place. I'm not a big fan to be honest. I find their pizza to be soggy and nothing special about it. The staffs though sounds nice on the phone when ordering. Tried them a few times to see if it would be different each time but it was pretty much the same experience unfortunately.

Delicious quality pizza and great prices! I had heard great things about The Pizza Place from colleagues and neighborhood friends and the food did not disappoint. While they do not have a website, the menus on Yelp are pretty accurate. I highly recommend their thin crust pizza, and they have a wide variety of sides.

Man what a bummer. The service here has never been the greatest in general. But today it was really below average as was the food. When we entered all the employees seemed annoyed we were there. When I started my order I had asked the cashier how long ago their slices came out of the oven. She seemed very confused by that question and answered with "um". Then the owner stepped in and said something to her and the cashier then said "yea the pizza is from today". LIKE I WOULD FRICKEN HOPE SO. The owner then went on to tell me that they would warm it in the oven.. honestly this was major red flags since no one could tell me how long ago the pizza came out. But we were hungry so we ordered anyway giving them the benefit of the doubt.
When our order came up my husband had a very upset look on his face and when I opened the box it was two very small very very over cooked pizzas slices. The cheese was orange brown, and a good portion of the pizza was burnt. Now, we are not complainers. So I asked my husband to take a bite first to see. Maybe it tasted better then it looked. Nope. Completely dry inside. Cheese was like leather. So I went back upfront to ask for a refund. The cashier was annoyed with my request, told me they could give me new slices instead (the same old pizza, just new slices). I said no thank you, I'd like a refund and she told me they could only offer new slices. Thankfully there was one nice gentlemen there who fought my case for me and got me my refund. Honestly, I wasn't going to leave without it. But I was very calm and respectful on the whole situation. Point of this long review is.... If you want people to patronize your business, then give them fresh food. If you have no passion or care for your customers then close the dang business down. Pizza place isn't what it was 15 -20 years ago. Just know that.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 29, 2016Previous reviewFinally open!!
I feel like the Tornado hit was a blessing in disguise. This restaurant was well overdue for a remodel. The food was always great, but it was very dirty and dark feeling inside.
Now it's beautiful. They had a huge turn out their first day open. (Congratulations).
Pizza was delicious (as usual).

When pulling into the lot, the lines for parking were barely visible but it wasn't a problem as no one was there. When entering the pizza place it was clean and looked nice. It was as dead as a amusement park on a school day. The prices were not bad for a whole pizza but one slice for thin was $3.25. Not worth it in my opinion but that was before trying. The lady serving us felt like she didn't want us to be there. That's the vibe I got from her. Getting our pizza was pretty quick as it was already made, she got it from this pizza warmer. That's when I knew the pizza wasn't going to be fresh. I had the thin crust, the cheese was falling as it was soft but solid. It was quite oily but as expected from a pizza. The sausage tasted quite old and it had a rubbery texture to it. It did not have a great aftertaste and the overall pizza was just not good.

Excellent pizza and customer service! Their staff is very friendly... but now on to what really matters to people like you reading this review... the pizza. We got a thin crust that had a very good crunch to it, and the sauce was excellent. That's all our pizza consisted of, but I'd be willing to bet their other toppings are good also. Let's be real though, the veggie and meat toppings don't vary a ton from place to place, the sauce and crust are the foundation that make or break a pizza, and the one we had passed the test! 5 stars, A+, 100%, great pizza. If you're still reading this, just call and order your pizza already!

I love this place for lunch! I do the two slice special which includes a coke and it's around $7-$8. The pizza is always hot and fresh and the food is great. I highly recommend the pan pizza with extra cheese (our favorite)! I also recommend the Italian beef (pictured below) as its one of my favorites.
5/5. Be sure to check them out when passing by.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Dec 2, 2019Previous reviewI love this place for lunch! Went to pick up food before covid and it was decent took awhile for being all fried food but it was fine and close.
After covid went it to grab something fast that was close by and NO ONE HAD A MASK ON ! Very disappointing especially because it says on the sign they have been around for years, So you would think they cared about the customers and not just their comfort.
I wouldn't order from here with covid going on if it concerns youHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Patrick M.Wauconda, IL02Dec 28, 2020Updated review
I've always enjoyed the pizza here and am happy they were able to rebuild after the tornado. That said, their lack of respect for the safety of their customers and coworkers is poor. I picked up a pizza a few weeks ago and it was like the twilight zone, or at least Wisconsin, as none of the employees had masks on. Not even half assed attempts (chin straps). Disappointing to say the least.

The sauce is good and they provide a good amount of it. I especially recommend their take and bake pizzas. I will pick one up during the day and just cook it in the oven when ready to eat. Beats delivery by a ton.
