They used to have amazing thin crust. Absolutely Loved it at the pumpkin patch then went Juneteenth at Drake park and they used tortillas. Yes I paid 12$ for a tortilla with cheese and sauce barely disguised as a pizza.
The person working there said they used to make their own crust then became short staffed and didn't have time. Hm. Maybe change the name to open faced crispy quesadilla cart ?

I write this with the hope that nobody else gets swindled out of $15 for their sad excuse for an open-faced quesadilla.

I WILL NEVER ORDER THIS AGAIN!!!

I am so confused that this cart is still in business. I guess the amount of people moving to Bend means there are enough one-time buyers to keep them in business.

Notice that all of the good reviews for this business are pre-pandemic, when they still made their dough. Now it is a tortilla covered in toppings and slightly charred. I have never written a review before, but this is bad enough to make me do it. How do events continue to bring this cart in as a vendor when they are so blatantly not caring about the food they serve.

They use tortillas as the crust! I never leave reviews but thought this was very important to point out especially since 1. They claim to sell pizza 2. Their website prides themselves on their dough and 3. They charge $12-15 for a 'pizza'!

      Biggest waste of money.

I understand pizza is a highly individual thing approaching a religion. There are many styles of pizza and folks tend to love and hate various ones.

That said, I see that The Pizza Cart is highly rated - people seem to like what they serve, which is great. The operators also seem to be well-respected local folk. Which is doubly great. (I note the business is currently listed as For Sale.)

However ... to me, their pizza is flatbread masquerading as pizza, and that's not my preference. So, only two stars for the food.

BEWARE: Uses tortillas for the pizza crust

I was very excited to try this place at the Oregon Winter Fest due to the positive reviews. Unfortunately, for myself and my wallet, the $15 pizza was made on a sad, thin, slightly burnt tortilla.

It looked like a tortilla, smelled like a tortilla, was flaky like a tortilla, and worst of all, tasted like a tortilla.

I couldn't and simply didn't believe they would really use a tortilla after saying otherwise on their website. Quote: "Our dough is a labor of love. Every pizza skin we make is a two day process starting with a traditional sourdough starter and finished by hand rolling it to a 10" not-always-perfect circle."

So I had to ask. And their response: "Yes, we do use tortillas to make our "pizza" (more like a quesadilla if you ask me) because we got behind with COVID and couldn't spend two days making the crust anymore."

I was SHOCKED to say the least. And to top it all off, they said they have no plans to return to their original, and most importantly, PIZZA crusts, in which they both advertise and pride themselves on. Well, used to pride themselves on anyway.

This was a sad excuse for a pizza and a HUGE waste of $15. PIZZA LOVERS BEWARE.

"The Best" is, indeed, the best! A delightful twist on the classic cheese pizza, adding roasted garlic and fresh basil adds just enough herbal flavor to draw out all the subtle flavors in the sauce. While I'm not normally a fan of the extremely-thin-and-crispy crust, there's enough flavor in the dough that the dramatic texture doesn't distract from the experience. The pizza is prepared quickly, and the service is extremely quick and pleasant. I'll be coming back, given any opportunity, and you should as well.

Wow! Just ordered a cheese, garlic and basil pizza and the "dough" was a flour tortilla! WTH. And I got charged $15! When I asked what the deal was I was told that they no longer have time to roll out the dough due to COVID, so they're using tortillas. I've never reviewed a place, but the idea of using a flour tortilla to pass as pizza dough is so absurd that I had to share. It's not a pizza, it's a quesadilla! Definitely not worth $15, maybe $6 at best.

Not a replacement for an actual pizza parlor/restaurant but still great. I've had this at a couple events and always look forward to the pizza option to mix up the other food cart options. I've only ever ordered the meat lovers but it is good so no reason to switch. They are brick oven pizzas with good thin crust, fresh tasting sauce and a small portion of toppings which makes a nice light pizza that won't make you feel sluggish. Give them a try at the next event you see them.

      First to Review

After driving by the tent in front of Pine Mountain Sports many times I finally decided to try out The Pizza Cart. The owner was quick and friendly. There were about 10? choices of pizza with specials. My order was a 4 cheese pizza, costing only $6. There were others at a higher price and I believe the cheese pizza was only $5, but the size was perfect for a single person (great lunch stop). I was amazed at how quick his brick oven worked too. I don't think I was there more than 5 minutes total. Everything looked clean and properly stored (he washed his hands before helping me - how often do you see that in restaurants?).

The results: Well, I took my pizza home and was very happily impressed! This is the first time I've found real Italian tasting pizza in Bend! It had a delicious, crunchy thin crust with a rich tomato sauce. The cheeses were very full of flavor and a good assortment (real mozzarella, parmesan, goat cheese and I forgot the last one). Great tastes! For this decent price and ease of convenience I would definitely come here again. My only reason for 4 stars is that I want to try some of the others first.

Really enjoyed The Pizza Cart and glad I stopped by!

We had the Pizza Cart cater our rehearsal dinner. Hosting a destination wedding with 45 guests is not easy, but these ladies made me not want to punch anyone. I was a bit concerned coming in to a town I had never been to, with vendors I wasn't able to try. Especially when it comes to food. The only thing I was dead set on for the wedding was a pizza and beer rehearsal dinner. if I could do it all over again, I would choose these ladies as my vendor again and again. They were a delight to work with, and the pizza was off the chain.

I like pizza. A lot. My husband's bro friends like pizza. A lot. And if those guys give you the thumbs up, you are good. But the Pizza Cart went above that. One more than one occasion I heard someone say 'this is the best pizza I've ever had'.

Fresh. Well seasoned. Perfectly cooked. And served by two delightful ladies. My favorite thing was the variety of topping options. Most of the gang either got 'The Best' or the 'Greek'. Both were pretty stellar.
