I would rate this more of a 3.5, but I'm a hard critic. I did have an enjoyable meal here. Here's the run down:
-Free white bread (very plain, no flavor) with great herbed, and whipped, butter. Butter made the bread great.
-Tomato basil soup was AWESOME. It was very flavorful and creamy without being too thick. Definitely home-made. I will always get this.
-Side salad was fresh with tomatoes, cucumbers, and sliced apples. The vinegarette was good too. I enjoyed!
-Jalapeno and cilantro cream sauce crawfish pasta. This pasta was pretty bland to begin with, but we asked for extra cilantro, which they gave us immediately. The extra fresh cilantro, some red pepper flakes on the table, and some black pepper, this was very tasty.
The ambiance is nothing special, but the prices are extremely reasonable and the people that run it are very nice.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Laura K.Monterey, CA04Feb 19, 2017
Great Italian classics and quite a few with an unexpected twist. I had the chicken picatta it was just what I was craving. Nice and lemony and creamy spaghetti on the side. Talk about comfort food! My husband had the chicken parmesan, I tried it and thought it was just as wonderful as my dish the chicken had very light breading and the sauce had a nice rich favor. My husband said "I would definitely come here before going to olive garden or Maggiono's!"
I'm not a big meal kind of gal...(I never get my money's worth at a buffet) but this chicken picatta was so good I kept eating until it was gone!
I highly recommend this little mom and pop restaurant!
If I had any criticism it would be the bread before the meal came out. Don't bother eating it unless you are starving. Not worth the calories and you want to save room for your meal.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lupe C.North Little Rock, AR76877Jun 15, 2017
Pasta house is one of my favorite spots to eat. I discovered it about a year ago and loved it. The food is always delicious and brought out in a timely fashion. Never have to wait long and it's also a very quiet place. Usually pretty laid back and not too busy. I would recommend everyone to swing by and try the food.

What a little gold mind ! The food was delicious. The Chicken millun was covered in a cream sauce the was rich and lots of flavor. My husband let me have a taste of his Ribeye on spaghetti noodles and it was Haven!!
The restaurant was very clean , service was kind and accommodating. I would differently go backHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dina M.North Little Rock, AR25632Aug 10, 2016
Went to this place with high hopes of great pasta... That didn't happen What I got instead was watery pasta and sauce that had been reheated and thrown in a one compartment container, so I try to make the best of it, (thinking that some some of the greatest dishes aren't appealing to the eye) the food was lackluster but Im pregnant and hungry so I kept eating, only to find a tiny fly like bug with tiny feet and legs. I took the food back into the restaurant with the bug in tow in a napkin. The owner grabs the bug and squeezes it to the point where the bug is squashed and no longer looks like anything. This man argued me that this was not a bug and that it must've been in the sauce. Listen, DON'T EAT HERE! This place is NASTY and the food is contaminated, your parsley flakes may NOT be parsley, BEWARE!!

Over the last 4 years this place has grown on me, not that it had any problems to begin with, and is one of my favorite restaurants in Maumelle. Sure this is the only Italian themed restaurant in Maumelle, but it beats most of the chain restaurants that I have been to, even some of the more expensive ones don't hold a candle to this one. I have never tried the pizza as it is only on the kids menu, which is one of the odd points in the menu.

Love this place! I'm from New York and this is like having a home cooked meal from Mama!

We had the fettuccine with shrimp, chicken piccata with spaghetti, and a side salad. The salad contained bits of tomatoes that were so old they had fermented. The base of the salad was iceberg lettuce and not really worth eating. The chicken piccata was overcooked and tough, although the sauce was tasty and lemony. It had pickled onions on top which were good but odd. The spaghetti with sauce (same as the Alfredo sauce?) was delicious. And lastly the fettuccine with shrimp was something to recommend. So mostly fine but not someplace to seek out.

I'm surprised I have never written a review of The Pasta House until now, as I've always had great experiences. The Pasta House has been in Maumelle for just about as long as I have. It's a great addition to the city, offering delicious Italian dishes at affordable prices. The owner is friendly and attentive. And the food is quite good - I've never tried a dish I don't like.
Most recently, I had the Chicken Milano. It's chicken, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, and pasta in a parmesan garlic sauce. Although it typically comes with penne or rotini pasta, I requested standard spaghetti noodles. The dish was really flavorful and good! My husband had the Chicken Picatta, while our friend tried the Fresh Black Pepper Fettuccini & Shrimp. Both were finished off, so it's a good sign that they were enjoyed. By the way, you also get warm, soft bread with a side of whipped garlic butter...it's good stuff.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan K.North Little Rock, AR46525Jan 15, 2012
This is a small business, and it appears that the owner is the one that works the cash register and waits all of the tables himself, and there only appears to be one cook in the kitchen. This isn't a fancy mom-and-pop Italian restaurant, it's a budget pasta restaurant in a strip mall. The meals are inexpensive, with a typical pasta dish costing less than $10.
My family has dined here several times, and generally the food has been good, but a few of us have had overcooked pasta on occasion. They have homemade deserts, which are very good.
The atmosphere is a bit too quiet, and on many occasions we were the only customers in the restaurant - even at prime time on a weekend. We've always had good service, but then again, we were often the only customers in the restaurant.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
