I have had so many club sandwiches, it's always my go to. Let me tell you that this club sandwich is by far the best one I have ever had! It was sooooo good. Perfection!

It's a little small and crowded but the food and service make up for it. They have a coffee shop inside with different delicious coffees, teas, pastries. The servers were great.

It is a little loud as it's a small space but overall a great spot, really close to the beach as well.

I may dream about the banana French toast for years to come.

Really good experience at The Mission Café! It was doing brisk and bustling business at about 11a on Saturday morning. We didn't have to wait for a table, thankfully, and our server came over in minutes. I ordered the banana French toast, with a side of cheese eggs and bacon, and my BFF got to loco moco. We both enjoyed our meals, but I think mine was the winner. The banana French toast was truly decadent- the bread was amazing, I thought it was banana bread, but our server said it was their cinnamon bread. It was sweet, dense, covered with bananas and nuts in a sauce with whipped cream. Simply amazing!

My eggs and bacon were also great and everything was served piping hot. My friend enjoyed her loco moco as well.

The restaurant is very casual and not fancy, which is pretty standard for the area. Total before tip was around $40.

A really great spot! Went to SD for the weekend and wanted to get food before heading home. We found this spot by the beach and there was surprisingly no wait for a party of 4 around 10am on a Sunday.

They have a really large menu, I had the chilaquiles which were so good and a large portion. They also had a lot of different pancake and French toast options which looked good as well.

Service was great and food came out quickly. Would recommend!

Cheaper than most LA brunches, you can find The Mission Cafe in the popular section of Mission Beach in San Diego. Parking options include street meters or small lots nearby, and wait times can be typical long during weekends. In general, you can't go wrong with the quick service and meals here, all in a bustling and clean cafe.

What was surprising here was that the house brewed coffee was surprisingly smooth and not you typical burnt cafe fare, and simply enjoyable. I was very happy to have a good cup of coffee after the long drive to San Diego. The refills kept coming as well.

This place is known for their pancakes. The classic buttermilk pancakes were served up thick, evenly griddled and quickly. I definitely recommend this for those who have a hankering for good pancakes. They have all kinds of customizable options if you want more or less butter, and jams/preserves on top as well. In this instance they were able to put granola in the pancake to give it some extra sweetness in every bite.

On top of this, I had the Rosemary which is scrambled eggs, rosemary potatoes with tomatoes and scallion, and bacon. I put the bacon aside and really enjoyed the well done eggs and potatoes. This is plenty for one person and won't leave you starving.

Overall, the service here is great and it comes together with some excellent cafe options that are well above your standard chains.

Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't pass on Mission Cafe!

A classic diner feel but with elevated food items - breakfast, lunch, and dinner including specialty coffees, juices, and smoothies.

We were promptly seated and helped, but didn't really see much of the waitress the remainder of our time. The place was absolutely packed, so a few larger groups had to wait but there's plenty of seating. It is quite loud however, so probably not the place for a first date or to bring granny.

We ordered the French Toast which was incredible! And the Avocado Toast had raving reviews but was really lacking in flavor, really only picked up the strong goats cheese flavor, so quite a bummer.

We paired cold brew with cream and the specialty honey oat latte with our breakfast. Both were incredible, especially the honey oat latte! Absolutely superb.

Overall a great breakfast option, and so close to the beach!

Discovered this cozy brunch spot on Yelp - unpretentious and homely. While the service was pleasant, there was an issue with extra charges felt very penny pinching and unwelcoming.

We ordered biscuits and gravy, and the menu said $3.00 for an extra biscuit and my husband asked the waiter when ordering "do you guys add more gravy to the biscuit?" and the server said "yes we do" but later while paying they charged $5.00. We asked while paying, the waitress said it was because we asked about having extra gravy. My husband asked about it if they add more gravy to the extra biscuit but never was like oh i'll pay more on top of the $3.00 for more gravy. It was a miscommunication but also why not inform with extra charges to your customer?

Similarly, my ice latte with lavender syrup had a $1.50 extra charge instead of the expected $1.00 that's listed on their current menus. To me, it's crucial for establishments to clarify additional charges or price changes with customers beforehand. Despite the good and fresh food, the unexpected charges left us feeling hesitant about returning.

I always drive past this place and it never really caught my eye because it's not that noticeable compared to all the bright colorful buildings in Mission Beach. I'n so glad I went because it was sneaky good. It was packed too, which I think is a great sign.

I got the breakfast quesadillas which were good but I wasn't a fan of the texture. When you put scrambled eggs in quesadillas it gives it a fluffy texture that take away from the quesadilla. Flavor was there though and it was still really good!

The french toast looked phenomenal, I really want to go back to try those!

My favorite breakfast place in San Diego. Everything on the menu is superb. Personally I love the rancheros verde dish with beef the best. I love their pancakes and rosemary potatoes. Good coffee. The service is fantastic. The people are very nice and the food is five star! Omid, Nikki and Daniel are superb servers. The only negative is trying to park around the restaurant.
