love love love this place! Took a trip to Orlando to visit some friends. Did a quick yelp search for local hot spots and this place showed up first on the list. Arrived here around 11pm. There were multiple people around and the area was lively on this small area of the block as there were many people headed to the restaurant next door as well as the sports bar.
As soon as we entered, the first thing I noticed was Buddy the dog. So friendly! He ran straight up to us and was so playful. The second thing I noticed were all the cool games - monopoly, scrabble, sorry, jenga, and so so much more ( see my picture) . I also loved the atmosphere. The mismatching furniture, the random stickers and signs everywhere.
The owner was so friendly, warm, and attentive. He was up for casual conversation, takes the time to really get to know his customers, and makes everyone feel so welcome.
So basically we closed down the place after playing Shut the box for 3 hours - yes - 3 hours. This is my new favorite game! We also played tic-tac-toe, connect four, and video games. Would definitely come back here when I visit again. I wish this place was in Miami!
Talk about a perfect night!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sep 26, 2017
Great place to check out if you're a beer lover! 4 stars for a great little local bar with a friendly owner who loves dogs!
After trying Tasty Takeover, we decided we needed something to drink. This place is super dog friendly and the owner actually has a bar mascot. He even offered a soccer ball for our dogs to play with while we enjoyed our beers.
The location itself is on the small side but there are many board games to choose from and star wars was playing on the tv's while we were there. So there's plenty to keep you entertained.
Lots of specialty craft beer options, along with sours and many different flavored ciders. There are also a few wine options if you're not a beer drinker. Great place to hang out with friends and have your dog tag along!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jun 21, 2017
This is definitely a neat & interesting little bar! Despite their size - they've got quite the selection of beers available for purchase. What a lovely surprise. I've been really into Sour beers lately and I had asked for reccommendations from the owner. He helped me out and suggested a few that they had. The owner always is friendly & courteous. Prices are not bad either. Very reasonable for what you would expect.
The Tasty Tuesday food truck event happens in the parking lot behind The Milk Bar every Tuesday - rain or shine! You are able to purchase your food at one of the trucks then bring it into the bar to enjoy - be sure to purchase something thought! There is always such a variety of people inside.
They have a television which 9/10 I have been in there has been playing Star Wars LOL! They've also got a few board games lying around for you and your group to play. Seating is quite limited inside - they do have some outdoor seating as well. BUT, I have never had an issue finding a seat.
Also, as a fellow dog lover, I must mention that Buddy - the bar dog - is so very sweet! Well mannered and a love bug.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 2, 2014
I'm digging this bar lately!
It's a tiny storefront in the hip Milk District that you would pass right by without a second glance if you didn't know about it. It's one of those bars that only locals would know to enter, but once you do you're happy with your surroundings.
The bar dog, Buddy, is amazing! He roams around, occasionally coming up for some attention, and boy is he loved!
The beer is great and varied and the people who work there have always been so friendly.
They have a taco trivia night- not trivia about tacos, but free taco fixin's at the bar. The trivia is actually pretty difficult, but fun because you can get points for buying the host beer!
Intimate, little place with games, a few too few chairs, and a mascot that wags his tail the whole time you're there.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Jun 26, 2017
I have been here a few times during the Tasty Tuesday events. Brent the bartender is always accommodating and super friendly. He has a good bit of beer knowledge so feel free to ask for a recommendation based on other beers you like. There are a good amount of board games to play and the music / TV is loud enough to hear and enjoy but not overpower your conversations. The seating can be limited since it's a small place but it remains pretty cozy. Should you be looking for a great spot to unwind and chill with friends this would be a great place to go !

Kind of a hipster place in a hipster area but I come here for a beer after tasty tuesdays out back with the food trucks. They are dog friends which is always an A plus for me! Good selection of craft beers you might not find elsewhere.

2430.. No that's not it; 2428, nah; that's not it either. 24...24!!! Finally made it here geez!!!!
I've had this place bookmarked for like seven months!!
The Milk Bar totally exceeded my expectations from the decor to the variety of drinks that are available.
We came here to have a few drinks after getting food from the Tasty Tuesday food truck event. I had this Pear Cider from California and it was amazing!
The place has a cozy feel to it, and it wasn't dingy like other bars. The furniture was actually half way decent and being a non-smoker I appreciated that the smell of cigarette smoke wasn't the first thing that hit me once I opened the door. They've got board games, and flat screen TV's, it's an awesome set up.
The bar tender is very well informed with what's being offered, and he was super friendly and attentive; This place will definitely become a regular hang out spot.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stephanie C.Galva, IL0108Feb 27, 2019
I absolutely fell in love with this bar. We went on Tuesday for the tasty takeover food truck event which is every Tuesday from 6:30pm-10pm. Anyway, the bar owner is such a gem and loves to interact with his customers. When we were there he had the bars official real life dog and cat as well as 2 other super friendly dogs. There are many different canned drinks to choose from as well as none alcoholic drinks. This is a very welcoming bar and you will see many people of different orientations.
