The Kilted Kod

Very impressive. After seeing some FB posts I gave it a try. When I pulled up and saw a couple of Meridian's finest I knew I wouldn't be disappointed.

By the time I got home with my order of fish and chips, I sat down and opened the container. 4pcs of fish and fries nicely fried and still pipping hot.

The flavor and freshness was amazing. I will definitely order from them again.

My apologies on the confusion of the amount of tarter sauces I got, you were right there were 3 hiding in there.

I used to be a huge fan of the Kilted Kod. We have been stopping by to get fish and chips for many years. I saw on Facebook that they were going to be at Lowes. I got on the Street Food Finder app and they were not on it. I sent them the following message:

"Have you ever signed up for Street Food Finder? I have used it for a few years to find my favorite food trucks in Arizona. I noticed that your trucks aren't on it."

Their response was not what I would expect. It was a one word response "Bullsit"

Classy response to someone who was just trying to help.

I removed 2 stars because The Kilted Kod is too inconsistent in their cooking quality. Once the fish was overcooked, and today it was greasy and undercooked. We were SO disappointed because we have really enjoyed the food there several times - just not ALL the time.
We tried to reduce the oil on the coating with our napkins, and they became soaked. As a last resort we took the fish home and tried to finish cooking it. Ended up throwing out the coating, and eating only the cod. On the other hand, the fries and coleslaw were amazing!
I think we are going to say goodbye to The Kilted Kod for awhile due to the inconsistency and the raised prices.

The fish was so yummy and the tater sauce was so good! I will definitely be going back!!

I drove across town because I was so excited to try Kilted Kod last night. It was a huge let down! I usually like greasy foods, but this was way over the top! The French Fries just dripped when you picked them up! And all that grease made me feel sick to my stomach in the middle of the night. The coleslaw was good though. I should have asked BOISE FOOD GROUPS first!!!

Good flavor. Quite salty, so take that into account. Mine was excessively greasy though. The breading overpowers the fish a bit. Fries were good. Tartar sauce was good.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. Best in Idaho. The owner and his employees are also incredibly kind and take pride in their customer service. Highly recommended!

Fish is consistently fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They had a location near me but the last time I went they weren't there. Disappointing.

On my journey to find the best fish and chips, this place ranks supreme. Amazing fish and chips! Would highly recommend
