Probably not. Dosas are a South Indian dish. This restaurant is North Indian.

Jaipur
This is a Indian restaurant in Rockbrook Village, Omaha!
I went here with my aunt to try something new and loved it! The food is so different (in a good way) and definitely worth going. Our waitress was so sweet and the store owner was walking around greeting guests which was super cool.
Food in the photos:
Chicken Tikki Makhani ( the more reddish one )
Lamb Korma ( more orange in the photo )
naan bread
Mulligatawny Soup

This is a delicious, authentic Indian spot. You're greeted with intricate murals on the walls and the staff is inviting. The wait staff is friendly and excellent quality.
Jaipur's unique restaurant/microbrewery allows customers to purchase their beer in the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which paired well with the food. We ordered the sample appetizer platter and received a mix of potatoes, samosas, and other fried goodies. For my main dish, I got the shrimp bhuna, which is different from the typical tikka masala or korma I usually order. The dish was fantastic. As expected, it was flavorful, not too spicy, and great tasting shrimp. Good for dates or small groups. We will be returning to try more.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maggie E.Denver, CO4823610Feb 22, 2024
We love Jaipur! Food-wise, I can't find anything constructive to comment. It is absolutely delicious down to the last grain of rice. The interior is cozy and features velvet curtains and a hand painted mural that rivals that of Greek Island. I had a Jaipur brew and didn't love it, but enjoyed the pint glass enough to buy and take one home friendly staff and ample parking.

Immediately as you walk in you feel transported to a foreign place with their decor and ambiance set into play. Now we are new adventurous eaters that wanted to find a good Indian spot and chose this place without much looking into on a whim. The menu offers a lot as we glanced thru then BAM we looked to the price column and it was much higher than expected, with high up charges too. The food was good and satisfied us just right but not a new go to, it just didn't feel like the delivery and quality was worth the asking price.

I've been to this Jaipur location a handful of times, and have always enjoyed it, but after this recent visit I think the quality went down a bit. Service was fine and they still have the really good jalapeño ale, which has always been my favorite. Our group ordered chicken Bhuna, lamb korma, lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka madras. Of all I think madras was most unique and flavorful, I enjoyed the sautéed onion and bell peppers in it and how the peppers are dispersed throughout. Lamb vindaloo was pretty bland and could have used some more heat (unsure if we needed to ask for this). I was impressed with the mulligatawny flavor, but the garlic naan was pretty dry and did not seem fresh or was a frozen variation. Rice quality was okay, but did now wow me. I would return just a bit disappointed the food quality compared to other visits.

Went back to Jaipur after many years' hiatus and I did have a better experience than what I remember from last time. Their decor and interior is in desperate need of a spruce (bright green tables) but the service was pretty good.
I ordered the lamb korma and I have to say I was pleased by the quality of the lamb. The sauce was on the bland side, the rice was fine. The garlic naan has an overwhelming amount of garlic in it. I like garlic as much as the next person but this naan was absolutely caked with garlic inside. Just not pleasant to eat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Dec 1, 2013Previous reviewWhen we arrived we were seated and given water by a host, then had to wait over 15 minutes to be spoken to again by the staff. They went in the back to investigate them a waiter came over about 5 minutes later.
Once things got going, it went a bit more smoothly. They don't have any special or standard cocktails so I felt a little left out when my friends all ordered awesome wines and beers and I (this foodie is less into wine and beer) tried to order different drinks only to be told they couldn't make them. Sad face.
The garlic naan tasted off. I don't know if it was me or the garlic but it tasted funny. This surprised me as I love garlic but I just couldn't get into it. The plain naan was great, and the jalapeño yogurt sauce was spicy and full flavored. The lentil soup was fantastic! Deep rich bean flavor, pleasantly earthy but had a nice hint of cilantro and there was a lemon slice on the side to add some acid.
The entrees saved the experience. I came with a few folks who were into sharing so we got a taste of several dishes. Chicken makani was rich and buttery, and cooked with tandoori chicken chunks. The lamb korma was creamy and pretty standard. The chicken tikka masala was actually a lot more tomatoey than normal and nothing to write home about. The rogan josh had pleasantly tender chunks of lamb.
Overall I felt it was an ok experience, and I might come back while I search for a better Indian place. But I had heard that this was the best Indian in Omaha and I hope that's not the case! - Jeni K.Omaha, NE24010091Mar 1, 2023
Service was so great, everyone was very friendly and quick to get us everything we needed. The chicken tikka spinach naan was one of the best dishes I've ever had! It was phenomenal. The sampler platter let us try all of the appetizers which was great, our favorites being the meat samosas and the chicken bites. We tried the jalapeño beer and the raspberry. Raspberry beer was my favorite, while my husband loved the jalapeño - it had all of the jalapeño flavor but very little spice. Definitely recommend, we can't wait to come back and try more menu items.

Do yourself a favor and make a reservation this place fills up!
The interior was dark and cozy. The staff was so friendly and provided top notch service.
The menu has lots of options for gluten free, nut free, and vegan diets.
Both of us were a little disappointed in how bland and mild the food was. I think we might have just ordered wrong or maybe this place isn't for us. We went off the starred items which mentioned they were good for the whole family. So if you're looking for something bold and full of flavor ask your server some questions and they can help you find the right fit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
