The largest record store in the state of Arizona has the most stock of music albums when I go there I browse through the alphabetize tabs of artists that I look at all of the new arrivals of the week then I look at all the new arrivals of used LPS that they have cleaned and put in bags for resale I never leave with nothing I always find a music treasure here every visit Mike and his staff are very helpful you really should check out this record store it isn't a self-standing building at 24th Street and Osborn in Phoenix Arizona so it is local for me just to go in the store and browse also have a website where everything is listed for sale and they will ship to you around the world

Great selection of new and used vinyl. They also have an excellent selection of used CDs and new SACDs. Check out their YouTube channel each week for new releases and preorders.

Please check the condition of the items you purchased. I bought 2 David Sullivan 12" Records and the plastic shrink wrap ripped the covers. Please see photos. I went back to the cashiers d she could have cared less. "I don't know what could have happed" sorry is all she said.
Beware of buying damaged recorded. Seemed like mold or water issues I also found water damage/ fungus on the inside of another 12" vinyl purchased.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Jason, we’re sorry to see this has happened to your David Sylvian 12” singles. We left the original import shrink wrap on these as it increases collectibility - items in shrink tend to have higher values. Unfortunately old shrink can sometimes bond with the laminate on old UK presses over time and cause this kind of damage if a removal attempt is made, which is another reason the shrink was left intact. We run all 12” singles and LPs in our upper bins through sonic cleaning machines that cost nearly $9,000 apiece, as well as placing all vinyl is audiophile inner sleeves and protective mylar outer sleeves so that our customers can be secure that they’re receiving items in the best possible condition. As we’re in a desert community, we usually don’t tend to see mold or mildew on records unless they were part of a collection that was stored in higher humidity areas and then brought to Phoenix, and we usually throw out such pieces or place them in our bargain bins. We hope this explains your circumstance!

Mike is great. I recently purchased 13 records from a WhatNot auction that Mike and Angel hosted. I won an UNOPENED dark side of the moon UHQR. I couldn't be happier. Every record was exactly as described, if anything his descriptions were conservative. What Mike calls VG or VG plus everyone else is calling NM. Most of the records looked band new. This was a big expensive order (for me) so I called to check on things, I got Mike on the phone easily and he was quick to provide the tracking numbers. Great to see businesses are still being run like this. I'll definitely be back for more.

I've been buying new and used records for years, in person and online, from The 'In' Groove. I have been extremely happy with their selection, service, and recommendations.
Today I had a new stereo system and rack purchased and installed by Mike Esposito, owner of The 'In' Groove. He was not only on time, he was early, worked efficiently, tested all the equipment, and left the area clean..
The recommendations, including location in my listening room, adjustments for best sound, a great attitude, and quality audio products put The 'In' Groove at the top of my list.
I'm an old guy from San Francisco. I can honestly say this was the best experience buying electronics in m life.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kenny M.Palm Desert, CA02324Aug 13, 2023
This is the nicest record store I've ever been to. Came in from California to visit a friend and had to stop by. Clean, organized, and more audiophile vinyl in one place than I've ever seen in person. Tons of SACDs, too! Would've loved to chat with THE Mr. Esposito, but he was tied up with his HVAC guy. Bought a title from Pure Pleasure and one from Mobile Fidelity, despite Mike's infamous YouTube post Can't wait to come back one day.

A decent selection, but prices are on the higher end. Expect to pay a couple dollars more than other shops for the same exact reissues and limited pressings.
I NEED to know why the New Order Low Life repressing a are $51.99. There is no hype sticker explaining how limited these are and I'm pretty sure they're $30 everywhere else including the New Order website.
Occasionally I'll find something great at a fair price.
In response to the owner's response -- the import is $23 on Amazon. Which pressing are you selling for $51.99? If it's truly a rare copy, just put a post-it note on it. Otherwise, total sticker shock.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

It’s not available on New Orders US website. It’s not available in the US at all. I had to import it from the UK hence the price.

I visited Phoenix last week and this was a must visit on my list.
I found a Rolling Stones Trident Mixes LP I hadn't seen in 40 years. I sold it when I opened my own record shop in 1983 in order to have rare items when I opened. This LP is amazingly clean and worth every penny I paid for it.
Nice clean shop. Great selection. Probably dangerous to walk in here stoned or with a full wallet. Or both!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - G S.Phoenix, AZ02Jan 16, 2023
This record store is peddling nazi propaganda for profit. I found a German copy of the soundtrack and speeches from "the triumph of the will," on sale for $33.
If you don't know, it's a nazi propaganda film that Hilter personally commissioned and helped create. It's full of hateful nazi propaganda. I have no issues with selling something that is historical and informative but that's not what this record is. It offers up a revisionist history of the holocaust created by the Nazis.
When I asked the owner why he was selling the record, he said "I don't like it but people buy it...i also sell Justin Bieber records." He clearly did not care. After some back and forth we were eventually kicked out. As we tried to leave he shoulder checked my girlfriend, which was completely uncalled for.
These kinds of historical artifacts belong in museums and I hope the owner will donate the record to one. If you are really curious about "the triumph of the will" you can listen to and watch the film on the holocaust museum's website, along with a detailed critical analysis of the film's content. Its just not the place of any record store to peddle nazi propaganda for profit.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 2Business owner information

Setting aside the potential legal issues of slander by verbally accusing store staff of being Nazis, the album in question, the soundtrack of THE TRIUMPH OF THE WILL, was a US pressing from 1977 - it’s illegal in Germany to market any Nazi-related material, so this was not a German record as stated by this customer. It was part of a collection which we took in which featured may different kinds of records, including classical, soul, and R&B. While we vehemently abhor Nazis in any shape or form, an album of this sort is an important historical document, much as the film TRIUMPH OF THE WILL itself - which is easily available on Amazon. This customer and his girlfriend opted to start loudly calling the store owner and staff “Nazis” and were belligerent, whereupon they were asked to leave. There’s not much more we can say about this. We don’t censor history and it’s not our way to just throw a record into the trash because someone may be offended - what would we do with all the records that have bare breasts on the cover? Additionally, we never said we had it because it would sell - it’s been in the WTF bin for 6 years and everyone has had the good taste to ignore it.
