      Amazing customer service!

I blindly chose this bike shop when I was in the market to purchase a new bike. I really wanted to learn how to properly get sized for a bike and any other pertinent info as I don't really know much other than how to casually ride one. I don't race or anything, just some neighborhood streets and whatnot.

Donovan was super helpful, super patient, and very informative. He did not make me feel dumb for not knowing much about buying a bike. What seems so simple can be quite technical and he answered all my questions.

Unfortunately, due to Covid, they had very limited inventory, but Donovan brought out two (restricted to outside shopping only, they bring the bikes outside) different bikes and i ended up purchasing the first one he suggested. I've had it for about a month now and couldn't be happier. It's a perfect fit for my size and my lifestyle.

      My new bike!

V family recently upgraded 1970s era bikes for more modern cruisers. Found the staff to be very helpful and supportive. Didn't try to push the priciest models. Walked away happy and with new bikes for all V family (except the littlest V who will inherit older siblings former ride for now). For beginners to advanced bikers HBC is a great option!

A belated review of a customer focused outfit.

The Sturmey Archer hub on my Biktrix Stunner bit the dust last fall. It was sold as a durable component of my 750 watt mid drive, but was not (Sturmey Archer recently specifically warned against this use).

So, I found an e bike specific Shimano 5 speed IGH and aksed the Hub to order it for me, and lace it to a wheel. They did so, with the correct trim and expertly.

The resulting wheel was not perfect I had to make 2 trips to get all of the little parts on correctly. But what impressed me was their service attitude to provide me with essentially a custom assembly - THIS WAS NOT A KIT. Example: My last part was delivered to my house by a Hub employee, at their behest.

The wheel was installed on my Biktrix Stunner in January and has been my main transport mode for months now. It performs flawlessly.

So, (1) don't buy from misleading Biktrix, and (2) thank you Hub for working so hard to get me back on the road.

The Hub has given me great service, multiple times or really every time since I bought my bike from them a year and a half ago. Very pleased with them. Thank you.

I I flew all the way from Naples Florida for the chance to work with Alex and seek his advice and guidance. Ultimately he personally fitted me for my new road bike and shipped it all and new accessories back home for me.

He was professional, knowledgeable and a pure joy to work with. I will never go anywhere else and was most certainly worth the investment in airfare to get my new set up.

      Thank you Alex and team!!!

This bicycle shop is the best EVER! I bought a bike there probably 10 years ago. They tune up my bike every year for free. When I brought my bike in for an issue the other day, the guy fixed it on the spot (took him about 15 minutes), told me what to do so it wouldn't happen again and wouldn't let me pay him! I love this place!

I started riding my Walmart bike with my best friend as a means of connecting every week to exercise and to get back into riding. I had owned a Walmart hybrid bike at that point. One day at the end of our ride, that bike's brakes jammed up. The bike was rendered useless and dangerous. I began my journey of searching for a new bike and one that would cause me less issues over time. After consulting with colleagues at work and doing my online research, I decided to do some in person shopping. First I went to one of their competitors whose shop I had been to to replace a tire on one of my old Walmart bikes and although the representative was very friendly and knowledgable on cycling and the sort of bikes I should look at, I felt he was pressuring me towards a Trek or Bianchi bike which was that store's best sellers but was missing the mark I gave about the things I was looking for. He also assumed that I didn't want to spend that much for a bike that suited me when in fact I was willing to pay the cost within reason and best fit. He promised to call me when he placed a Trek bike together for me to test run and never did. My contact info was written in a book of craziness of other things, parts, etc. I waited for the call back despite the 1-2 days he'd promise and never got it. So I go back to my online list from my OneNote that I created and came across The Hub. I gave them a call and the representative Donovan answered. I asked for the appointment policy if any and their hours. He provided me with those details letting me know that everything would be curbside. Knowing it was approaching their final hour, I let him know that I'd be right there and was interested in looking at bikes. When I arrived I was met with a BLM signage in the window and a gentleman came outside with an iPad, introduced himself to me as Donovan and asked what I was shopping for today. I let him know my needs, my preferred budget and ultimately that I was seeking the best fit for my body, fitness goals and type of cycling I planned to do. He showed me SEVERAL options. He broke everything down for me (aluminum vs. carbon, caliper vs. disc brakes, etc.) all on the sidewalk with our masks on and from the iPad. He was very transparent about cost and what pros and cons each option given came with. The 2021 Contend AR piqued my interest. He gathered my height so that he could check his stock on my size in it. When he returned made mention that he had a men's version that I could test ride but that a womens Contend AR would be about a few weeks away from being back in stock. I decided to go foward with a test ride. He holds the bike for me in order to make the proper adjustments to the seat height. I check my bag in with him as collateral, borrow a helmet and go for a spin down Gore Avenue. He waited for me at the starting point as I made my way down the hills. The wind against my face and the power behind this bike made me determine that this bike was the one. When I came to my first stop, it was smooth and quick. No squeaking sounds. I felt in my mind there was no way I was ever going back to a Walmart bike. I meet Donovan back at the start of my ride and he asked me what my thoughts were. I told him the gears was an adjustment from what I was used to but other than that, I LOVE the bike and it's the "one". We continued our transaction and final adjustments curbside. I purchased a cage which he installed right away. He even went so far as to make sure my Walmart car rack was in place well enough to take home my new bike. I have been enjoying my bike almost every weekend since that purchase and I am forever grateful and blessed by the wonderful service Donovan provided me in making my first ever "Grown Woman" bike! Thank you!!!!

One day I was cycling to work in Webster Groves and BOOM, flat tire. Needless to say, I needed to act fast so I could get to work on time. I looked up shops close by and stumbled into this amazing bike sanctuary. First of all, they got me a new tire and were so efficient. I had walked in a little frazzled and explained my situation, the guy who helped me assured me he could get me in-and-out in less than 10 minutes! He delivered and was generally empathetic throughout my mini-emergency.

Since then, I have returned many times. Often passing 5-6 bike shops driving from the city out to Webster. They are totally worth it. If you're looking to buy a bike, get one fixed, have any questions, or just need a tune up, this team is awesome!

I have been going to the Hub for years. Ever since I first step in their doors after moving to Webster Groves over ten years ago, they have been the friendliest, most accommodating bike shop that I have ever encountered.

Their staff is approachable and knowledgeable, and they work well with the seasoned pro or the first timer.

Give them a try. You won't regret it!
