Gotta give it to this place, they definitely deserve a five star for the food they serve, their service and the upkeep of the place (still a bar, and not very restaurantish)

Ordered tomato basil soup, chicken tortilla soup, pepper jack bites, Micah's Rueben, and a half pound Jigz dinner wrap. I can tell you that I was pleased with every part of the meal. The cheese bites (I think) was the only item that wasn't made in house, but i'm good with any fried cheese.

This has GOT to be one of the BEST places I have eaten I Toledo in almost a decade! We went just as they opened on an incredibly cold winter day. We had the place to ourselves, but they definitely were not expecting the group that we had. The waitress was very sweet but was in way over her head and I am sure that we were not making ANY of it easier on her.

The atmosphere was comfortable enough, yet I don't know if I would want to be there on a busy night...I heard that it gets quite packed in there on the weekends, no thank you. I would drive the hour, happily if I might add, just to have their food again.

Wow, yeah. Not a place to go if you want to live a long life with low cholesterol numbers... but definitely a place you want to go if you're into delicious and indulgent savory food! This was bacon-infused comfort food at its finest, for me.

I had some sort of burger served on sourdough toast... brilliant. So much thick flavorful bacon inside. It was greasy as hell, sure, but somehow it didn't *taste* that way. The other toppings were all very fresh. I had asked for it cooked medium rare and i got an honest to god MEDIUM RARE cook. Incredible. Those of you who like to order burgers this way will understand how truly rare it is to find that. They had a fine assortment of tater tots with decadent toppings - wish i could find a copy of the menu 'cause i can't remember which one i ordered, but i do remember it being outstanding!

The tables were comfortable, the space was huge. I liked the bar feel of t, but since we came in at lunch time, it just felt like a nice pub space. The music was good and it wasn't full of drunk people.

The chef came out towards the end of our meal to ask how we liked everything. We ended up talking to him for quite a bit about the food and the space. He was really friendly and really passionate about making sure his customers were satisfied. All-around solid experience here. I'd gladly come back anytime.

First time here. Wanted to love this place, but couldn't". Maybe because it was an off-peak time (mid-afternoon on a Saturday)?

Husband had a specialty salad. The chicken chunks were too spicy hot to eat it, even after he'd asked for no jalapeños. I like spicy, but they were too hot for me too. The lettuce wasn't even crisp. Not salvageable, so he ordered a hot dog. He liked that.

My turkey rueben was too fatty to be "turkey". It tasted a little of the same spices as the salad's chicken chunks. Might it have been grilled on the same grill?

When I asked for decaf coffee, I was told "We don't serve coffee". I've been in restaurants and bars in over 40 states and Canada and Europe, and this was a first.

Very disappointed. The menu was quite extensive and clever. Perhaps we chose wrong? Gave them two stars and the benefit of the doubt.

The food at the house of eats is one of a kind. All the sauces are homemade all the way down to the ketchup. If you aren't afraid to try something I would suggest the mud burger, just trust me, peanutbuttwr, bacon cheese you can't miss. A treasure hidden within an awesome tap house with over 70 taps.

Very impressed with the food at Bier Stube bar. Does not remind me of bar food whatsoever!

We stopped here for lunch before heading out of state. The food is mostly sandwiches, wraps, and burgers. Great for either lunch or dinner. They have unique pairings too, but most of the pairings seemed pretty glutenous. I ordered the "Southern Farmer Wrap". It was delicioussss! Serious flavor. The spicy slaw was probably my favorite part of the wrap and I usually don't like coleslaw. That says something! My fiancé ordered some kind of chicken sandwich. It was good, but my wrap was the true winner. I'd recommend getting one of the wraps for sure!! We also tried the Mac & cheese. I would pass on this dish. H.O.E. tried to make it different by adding what I believe to be is a chipotle seasoning, but the consistency is way off. Needs improving!

Also, I don't know what their standard rate is for draft beer, but I got a pint of Blue Moon for only $4! If I knew the price before seeing my bill, I would have ordered more. I would recommend this place for beer too due to the cheap prices yet good selection of beers on tap.

      Overall, two thumbs way up!!!

I met a long time friend here for lunch when I was in town visiting family. I honestly was not sure what to expect, as all of my previous experience with Bier Stube involved Miller Lite, Karaoke, pool, and POSSIBLY a 2 am pizza. But I heard that the new kitchen in the stube was run by a guy who was very into experimenting with food, and was known around town as a "Bacon Guy."

Prior to going to the restaurant, I browsed the menu online. I typically do this, as I try and stay on track with my eating day to day, so if I am going to splurge (as I likely would), I like to know in advance! The menu was extensive and had all kinds of great bar foods on it! In my head, I had decided to build my own grilled cheese sandwich from the extensive list of options on the menu.

When I arrived there, my friend suggested just ordering a bunch of different things to try them. We started with an order of fries, coated with malt vinegar. Wow. These fries were absolutely fresh-cut, and the vinegar added a delicious bit of flavor that made me glad we didn't skip it (I am not normally a vinegar on my fries sort of gal, but I had decided to go with it for a change!).

We also each had a cup of creamy tomato basil soup. The chef explained to us that he used to live in Seattle and there was a similar soup at a place that he frequented, so this was his take on the soup that he loved while he lived there. This soup was amazing and I would order it again in a second. We also shared a veggie quesadilla which was full of fresh vegetables and cheese!

If you are in Toledo, and looking for fresh takes on standard bar food, look no further than House of Eats at the Bier Stube.

Of course all the drunks love this food! The kitchen is ran by a total stoner and that's the kind of food you get...what five frat guys would throw together one night after taking rips off of a six foot bong. Kudos to him for attempting something new and different but there's just two things:
      1. We couldn't even get regular hamburger buns for our cheeseburgers. No joke, try it sometime. There was some weird bread or bun served with them but not the normal. (Would probably buy a pack of buns at the grocery store just to have available, I'm sure we're not the only ones who asked for them)
      2. The service. Refer to my review of the Bier Stube for that story.

I have only had one thing from the H.O.E., and let me tell you, it is FAB.
I have had the Big Kahuna Burger twice now, and it is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I mean, mouthwatering deliciousness.
Micah is an awesome cook! Plus, Bier Stube is my favorite bar in Toledo. Best karaoke ever!
Go get some awesome food from the best HOE in town! ;)

So it's a LITTLE confusing. Guess "The House of Eats" is the food that is served at Bier Stube? I'm a newb...so I really didn't know what was going on there. But anyway! Finally tried the food here...got the Hoe-burger Helper to be exact. Mac & Cheese with chunks of hamburger meat, red onions, mushrooms and fresh tomatoes. Served me a big salad bowl full of it! Like...I had it for dinner that night, then lunch and dinner the following day. Not bad for $9. I admired the creativity with the loaded mac & cheese options. Although I wasn't completely blown away by it. But I'm hopeful to find something I really like...so suggestions are welcome.

Was here a 2nd time on a Sunday afternoon for the AFC Championship game. Broncos and Patriots to be exact--- the bar was pretty empty which was surprising except for a couple of Broncos fans. Server was very attentive and I was able to get a good 4 craft beers in: Revolution Anti Hero and 21st Amendment Brew Free or Die were my faves. Will def return for beers, sports games, and to possibly find a food of my liking?
