Haymaker Peoria

The Haymaker is an amazing and consistent restaurant that I come back to time and again. The food is so good at the restaurant and it is also so good for take out.
Tonight we went to eat and Aimee was our server she was AMAZING! She was so kind, funny, attentive, and did a great job. Best service that we have had (and it's always been great!)
Highly recommend this place for take out, both breakfast and dinner!

Got sat right away. Then got passed up by every employee in the place. Was told by a waiter "I'll be right with you, sorry about the wait." Waited another 5 minutes... called it quits. We got up and walked out, after 15-20 minutes of no one helping us. No one said a word to us as we walked out. It wasn't busy either, so no excuses.
On top of that... time for new menus. They look as bad as the service... that we never received.
This sucks as we like to support nw concepts, but y'all really need to work on your staff.

A good place for solid food choices and good service here.

I had the Southwest Fried Chicken which was tasty but I was expecting pieces of chicken. It was a chicken patty which was fine and certainly not a small portion. The chicken was smothered with creamed corn gravy and that was quite good. Underneath was mashed potatoes which did not taste like they came out of a box. On the side was broccoli and while I thought it was overcooked, a friend had the same meal and she thought it was perfect.

I finished the whole plate, she could only eat half (skinny people...sheesh).

My wife had the pulled pork which she described as good but not earth shatteringly great. Same description for the mac and cheese.

She also had the "I'm Your Huckleberry" which is a Moscow Mule type drink with huckleberry puree as the secret sauce. She liked that.

Overall the service was really good and the food was good, but not a barbecue place you'll be raving about to fellow travelers back at the campground.

We sat in the bar area. The bartender was a delightful young lady.
The service was very good .
Her recommendation of the meatloaf sliders was very appreciated. They were yummy.
I would go again .

Found a hair in our food twice there, then they said it wasn't theirs but no one at our table had long blond hair. So horrible

The near parking lot sometimes is limited but more across the street.
Customer service is ok, food is really good the ever time we are here. Hostess could be a little better.
Plenty of tables for inside, no outside seating.
The chicken and waffles are really good.

Mushy sliders, soggy, cold bread....more water than BBQ sauce. Wings were good but I would not recommend these on this type of soft bread.

Haymaker is such a local commodity, I took family here a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the environment. The menu is expansive, so there's something for everyone, plus the portions are large enough to share with is nice. The staff are usually pretty friendly, although service can get slow. NW Coffee is served here as well but the menu for it is a little confusing. Would highly recommend if you're in the area, brunch is the best (if you can snag a table)!

First time here and it was quite the experience. The Ambiance was amazing and after waiting for about 10/13 minutes, we were seated. The waitress did an amazing job serving us and was very kind. The food was amazing! Wife had the breakfast burrito and I had the French toast with blueberries and made it a griddle which adds two eggs sunny side up and two slices of bacon with a black coffee! Look forward to coming here again!
