We have been celebrating special occasions at The Hamilton for over a decade and it never disappoints. Tonight was particularly busy, as they offer a Wednesday night special that draws a lot of locals on the early side. Was nearly full when we arrived at 7 and got quiet pretty quickly. Hubs had the special, seafood paella and loved the variety of flavors. I usually have fish, but tonight I had the lamb chops with peppery mashed potatoes, and they were cooked just as I requested. Both entrées came with a side. I had a cold cantaloupe soup which was sweet and frothy. Very refreshing on a summer night.
The hummingbird cake for dessert is a must. Light texture with taste of banana and a hint of pineapple. I believe the couple that runs the place owns it; Husband cooks and the wife runs front of house. White cloth with original art on the walls.

This place is right off the square, in downtown Noblesville. While it gives off an established, somewhat upscale appearance from afar, and some of the reviews seem to indicate the same, this restaurant is suitable for almost any occasion (except, perhaps, one where screaming children will be present. . . the place is pretty quiet and subdued) or attire (and indeed, we went there after the Bed Races, wearing casual clothes, and nobody batted an eye or treated us like second class citizens).

For an appetizer, my husband and I shared the baked brie, which was basically an entire wheel of brie that was baked with a dollop of marmalade on top, and served with bread. I think it was around $8. The combination of the cheese and marmalade seemed unusual, but went together surprisingly well. My dinner entree was the scallops and asparagus, which was also good (and I liked that the scallops were bay scallops rather than sea scallops). . . and, if memory serves correctly, under $20. A small salad was also included with each entree. The food was good, and it was a good value. I'm surprised they are not busier than they are.

      Excellent service. Quiet, unhurried atmosphere.

Mostly french centric offerings. Menu and presentation
from a couple decades back. Nothing light on the palate to be had.

That's not to say our meal was not enjoyable.
Escargot, lamb chops, exquisite roast pork loin, creme brulee.

Nightly specials available but plan $50-60 for an excellent night for 2
if sticking to multi course menu.

I'm glad I live/work near the Hamilton. It's such a great place for lunch. The owner will stop and chat with you and even tell her cake recipes. It's got a great classy vibe and I'm sure it's terrific for dinner if lunch is any indication.

Steak and mushroom sandwich - sliced steak isn't made here but it's good.

Got the orange mandarin salad. Walnuts cranberry vinaigrette cranberries mixed greens feta. Chicken was fresh and well seasoned

Always try the hummingbird cake if it's available.

It had been several years since my last visit up to this Noblesville establishment, but if was as good as it gets as the Yelp* five stars spells out. All four of us at our table enjoyed our dinners. We were there on a Thursday evening, but Beef Stroganoff was a carryover from the weekly Wednesday specials from the night before. My father ordered that and said it was the best he had ever had with everything cooked to perfection. The other dinners were ordered off the menu and all were quite enjoyable. These included the Pear & Blue Salad with a side order of Crab Cakes, Oven Roasted Tilapia and I had the Seafood Stew which was excellent. We would all be happy to return to this place!

Almost forgot to mention the Creme Brulee! Yum!!!

This place is a throwback to a quieter time. The atmosphere is calm and serene with no music blasting. The food is well seasoned and prepared. My wife and I have been there several times with excellent results. Looking at other reviews, I have to agree with a lot of the comments. We have had the Seafood Stew, tilapia, Pork Parmesan, and the incredible Hummingbird Cake.

I can see where some reviewers thought it was "boring", but I liked being able to relax and have a quiet, unhurried dinner.

Quaint setting but.... The chef Forgot to put sauer kraut on my Reuben. The Reuben was not impressive despite having them add the kraut "after the fact". Served with very stale kettle chips, of which there were about 10.
The people with me had a veggie burger which was said to be delicious and served with the same stale chips.
One other person had the grilled chicken breast with potato cake and sautéed veggies which were also reported to be good.

Pretty good food and a great Noblesville location but the inside is so "drab".

The Hummingbird cake is the best but I only get it carry out because, again, the atmosphere is "BOARING"
