BARE wax + skin

I am so glad (and lucky) that my first ever wax appointment was with Jaci at BARE.
1. She'll help you through the anxiety and anticipation of pain of getting a bikini wax for the first time
2. Super down to earth person
3. Very available and flexible in terms of schedule
4. Good at her job PERIOD.

I'd recommend any of my friends to see Jaci, whether it's their first wax or their 50th!

BARE's space off of Orange Street is very stylish, clean, and bright. I have a lot of their decor in my own house! :)

Jessica has turned my daughter's acne into a thing of the past! All she's ever been offered by dermatologists is Accutane, but she wanted to try something less severe and with less risk of depression, etc. Jessica to the rescue! She's an angel, and so easy to communicate with. We love her. Her business is beautiful and welcoming too!

The staff all were wearing masks and you are required to have your temp taken before your appointment. This made me feel safer about the experience during COVID. Everyone is friendly and I felt cared for during my appointment. The prices are affordable. I will continue to come back to Bare wax + skin.

Abby is the most magical and amazing waxing wizard! But seriously... that girl makes a Brazilian was the most comfortable and easy experience. She is thorough, and professional through and through. As for the BARE space- it is clean, modern, and so chic. Although I am not a new client to Abby, it was my first time being a client of BARE. I had a fabulous experience, and will be a customer for life.

Awesome place, super clean and professional. The person that helped me took her time to make sure we were on the same page regarding shaping.

This is the best waxing place I've ever been. They use hard wax here, which hurts WAY less than soft wax (which they also have). They care a lot about skincare and will help you with skin irritation etc. The environment is really nice and soothing. And the prices are pretty much unbeatable.
I see Bekka who is seriously the nicest cosmetologist I've ever met. She is great at what she does and makes an uncomfortable process very comfortable/easy. She actually listens and pays attention to what you talk about (I can't say the same for employees at many places I've been) and she remembers your conversations.

One piece of advice I have though is to leave earlier than your maps app tells you because it's hard to find at first.

Simply the best! Karee is amazing. She makes you feel comfortable and she's fun and talkative. I was very nervous my first time and she made the experience so much better. I have since been to other places and nothing compares to here! They GET EVERYTHING. Oh and the lollipops are a great touch. I'd give 10 stars if that were an option.

*** In Response to Owner Comment: I sincerely appreciate that the owner, Jessica, contacted me about my experience at her business. I also appreciate that she tried to get to the bottom of my experience at her salon so she could fix it. This is good stuff. However, I did indeed visit this salon twice. I condensed the two visits into one review for simplicity sake. I communicated to Jessica that I first visited summer of 2013, and again the following summer. She has a record of my first visit, but not of my second. I wish I could explain why there isn't a record of my second visit. I certainly remember the visit as this is the one in which the comments were made. I assured her that I was indeed there again this past summer.

I guess she doesn't believe me, and that's fine. She doesn't have to. However, I don't appreciate that she basically calls me a liar in her owner comment. If she doesn't have a record of my second visit, which is one that upset me, then who knows what happened to the money I paid. Maybe she didn't get it. This why I would feel bad accepting a refund. I have no idea what happened to her records, but I certainly did visit this salon a second time.

I've had worse wax jobs, but I'm not sure how. The tech who waxed my legs and bikini area missed several places, especially around the knees and on the back of my calves. I am not sure what kind of wax was used, but the hair seemed to grow back abnormally fast. Considering how much I paid for the service, which is more than I have paid in Bozeman, Dallas, Albuquerque, Denver, and LA, I wasn't impressed.

I also did not have a good time while I was on the waxing table. During the procedure, the tech said the prices at Grizzly reflect the cleanliness and quality of work. OK. Fine. Then she went on to say they were very clean, unlike "the dirty Asian place" in town. I felt really uncomfortable after this comment was made, and would have left if I wasn't covered in wax.

She also tried to sell me more services by telling me that my chin was "full of black hair" and really needed a wax. She said, "I don't want you to go out in public looking like that." I declined further services, and ran home to see if I was sporting a black goatee.

I left feeling like a werewolf, and with a bunch of race guilt for not sticking up for my Asian peeps.

I've visited Abby twice for my Brazilians. She does a great job and is quick. Abby keeps me entertained while going about her business and that's always welcomed when anticipating the procedure. I'm impressed because on my second visit, she remembered things we discussed during my first visit. Abby is timely and her work area is spotless.

Great experience with Karee and Becca! I have been going here for 6 years and they always do a great job. It's a clean comfortable place to go for waxing.
