Came in on a Wednesday during lunch and ordered the Mother Mary Special ($14). It was a spaghetti dish with grilled chicken, feta, mozzarella cheese. The pasta was cooked very well and tasted buttery and cheesy on top. Chicken was seasoned well and moist. This was a big serving where you could have enough leftover for a second meal. Staff and interior was nice. A very nice Italian/Greek restaurant to go. Overall a great experience here, I would definitely come back again to try other dishes!

Absolutely one of the best places we've found by accident. The food was exceptional the service outstanding and warm. The special I had was one of the best dishes I've had in forever pork tenderloin with a crazy great risotto
Wine as outstanding as was the espresso martini and the lemonchello cake.
Please give it a try when in area. You won't be disappointedHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 21, 2024
This was a really good Greek/Italian spot. We started with the flaming cheese. Highly recommend it if you've never had it at any Greek restaurant before. I ordered the baked spaghetti and my girlfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. The baked spaghetti ended up being a little lackluster from what I was expecting in my head. It really just tasted like cheap grocery store spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese that was baked in the oven. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was definitely better. I ordered a Greek beer and it was good and light.
The service was pretty good here. Our waitress was attentive and got us anything we needed.
The ambiance was super cozy. It had a bunch of Greek and Italian decorations all over the restaurant and patio. We ate outside on the covered patio and it was beautifully setup. I liked the vines and decorations they had setup.
We're not Richmond natives but we'd recommend it to anyone who is. We probably would get Greek food if we came back in the future to see if it is better than the Italian.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 6, 2024
Okay this restaurant was the perfect spot for our delayed Valentine's Day dinner. Not only is the inside adorable, cozy, and romantic, but the food was delicious! Everything was so delectable and there's plenty of options between meat and vegetarian that everyone should be pleased with their food. I loved my vegetable tray and the spanakopita was delicious. We splurged and got dessert as well- which was a little tricky to eat but well worth it because I love baklava and it was tasty. I also enjoyed reading about the restaurant's backstory - I love a family owned spot. And the owner or manager came and checked on our table / chatted with us. Overall, a marvelous experience for a date night.

Visited this restaurant with high expectations based on recommendations. The ambiance was charming with cozy decor, Italian/Greek influences, and a short wait for a table despite the crowd. We opted for calamari to start and seafood alfredo along with penne al vodka for entrees. Unfortunately, the calamari was overcooked and tough, so I wasn't able to eat a lot of it. The seafood alfredo was just okay, lacking a bit in flavor, while the penne al vodka, though decent, felt overpriced at $20.99. Disappointed in this place because I really wanted to love it.

You would never expect a Greek restaurant to have some of the best pizza around, but the Grapevine does not disappoint. They have a dedicated gluten free menu, which includes their pizzas. The grilled chicken was absolutely delicious and and they don't skimp on the toppings. I highly recommend giving it a try.
The restaurant has an upscale casual vibe, lots of space inside, and friendly staff. I'm looking forward to returning and trying other items on the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 30, 2019Previous reviewI've driven by The Grapevine numerous times assuming that it was just a Greek restaurant - I had no idea they also served Italian food and had some of the best pizza around until I read other Yelp reviews.
I decided to give the grilled chicken pizza a try, adding some tomatoes to it, and couldn't have been happier with my selection! The pizza was hot, flavorful, and very filling! I wouldn't mind if the crust was a bit crispier, but I did enjoy the thin crust paired with generous toppings. This was a bit more expensive than what I would typically be willing to pay for a pizza ($19 + tax for a 14"), but it was so delicious I will definitely return again.
The staff was very friendly and attentive while I was waiting for my takeout order, so I would like to dine in the restaurant in the future as well. - Jan 7, 2024
Are here on a quiet night out. I really enjoyed the ambiance and service. We sat on the patio and it warm even in January. The owner and manager seated us and introduced themselves. The chef could be seen walking around. The waitress and other employees were friendly and efficient and very attentive. It shows that this restaurant is a family owned business and the owners take great pride in providing good hospitality.
As for the food, there are many options for vegetarians and an entire vegan menu. It covers both Greek and Italian staples. I got the dolmades dinner. The dolmades were pretty similar to other ones I've had but I did enjoy the green bean side. They used French beans and perfectly sautéed them with a good flavor seasoning. My husband got the penna Ala vodka and they graciously substituted the chicken for mushrooms. However the majority of Italian entree were vegetarian. The pasta had a nice home made quality and flavor to it. The house wine carafes are also pretty good quality.
Would definitely eat again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 55717292Oct 15, 2023
