I was at The Venetian this week for a conference taking place at the expo and stopped by the Grand Canal Shoppes twice. The first time, I stumbled in here by accident while trying to find the expo and ended up inside one shop - Nectar Life, a bath/soap place. The second time, I just walked around and explored other shops to kill time before going to dinner with a group of people but didn't stray too far away. It's a huge mall and I didn't want to end up lost.
One highlight of this mall is that when you enter from The Venetian casino floor, you are greeted by a canal that mirrors the one in Italy, and you can even take a ride on the boat, hence why it's called the Grand Canal Shoppes, named after the famous canal in Venice. I didn't even see or know about this until my second visit, where I got pictures of the canal from several different spots. I thought this was very cool and I definitely want to try this out during my next visit.
It seems like there's a Fat Tuesday stand in every corner I turn when I'm on The Strip - I saw two of them here. Sadly, I could not visit or buy those ridiculously long drink cups from Fat Tuesday since I drove here. If I end up taking a rideshare here next time, I'll be shopping and drinking at the same time lol.
Because Grand Canal has a lot of expensive luxury shops, I didn't go into any of them (besides Nectar Life) and just did window shopping. I've never been to Grand Canal until just recently so it was a bit of a treat getting to experience what kind of shops and restaurants they had.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 13, 2023

Always a beautiful place to go, shopping, window shopping, dining or drinks. Beautiful site and lots of options to do.
Locals still enjoy first three hours free parking, I appreciate that courtesy!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2024
this place is nice if you had endless amount of money. Almost all the stores are very high-end. There is good restaurants and gelato and things like that and good places to take pictures. I think we spent under an hour here.

A lovely place to walk around and shop, people-watch, grab a cocktail or have a meal. There is the enchanted ceiling, the "canals" with the singing gondoliers, and even some artwork for the selfie-obsessed to photograph themselves in front of.
What's not to like? It is easy to get lost here. The walkways meander and sometimes split up and just end without warning. True story. But that's part of the charm. Just make sure to plot out your trip if you're going somewhere specific.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 1 - Sadig A.Castro Valley, CA11463041255Feb 17, 20241 check-in

A great place to shop, very reminiscent of Venetian times. Upscale shopping with friendly staff. Lots of eateries, pubs and more. Will come back

This is one of the places we visited when I was new here in America. That was 17 years ago. And I don't get tired of it, I keep on coming back after that.
I was in awe of the ceiling, the architecture, and the gondola rides indoor. If there were flies around they would have been inside my mouth in no time.
It gives me the vibe that I am in Italy for real. It is a good place to walk around when the weather is not favorable. Dining, entertainment, and shopping all in one.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0 - Feb 14, 2023
First and foremost, I am not a shopper. I do love staying at the Venetian, which has very large rooms and excellent restaurants. I have stayed at the Venetian on three occasions where I find myself enjoying walking through the Grand Canal shopping Mall which is a nice approximation of Venice, Italy and Venice, California where I grew up. OK, it's really nothing like Venice, California where I grew up, but the illusion with gondolas and gondoliers rowing, not drifting along the canal while shoppers roam
around shopping, eating and browsing the various expensive shops adorning the canals, makes for a nice diversion and fun experience.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
