Milbridge does it have too many places to get a bite, but this one has done a good job of hiding from those who are "from away." If you want a good meal or a good whoopie pie (two fudgy chocolate cookies with cream between) stop in to this place. It is easy to miss if your GPS is taking you up the coast toward Lubec on Route 1. Instead ignore your electronic guide's direction and turn right onto US 1A in Milbridge. This place will be just on your right as you turn onto US1A.
They do not take credit or debit.
The post office is further down this street in case you want to mail a couple of post cards.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dan K.Corea, ME044Apr 8, 2017Updated review
Ah but alas . My wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant, but sadly they are no longer in business.

Good side of onion rings. Light batter, and sweet onions. They are closing for the season on October 30. We will revise them next year.

Had the haddock burger, very tasty Friendly staff.
Small and out of the way and appears to be a place frequented by the locals.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John H.Petersburg, NY094Dec 6, 2013
I used to come to Milbridge just for vacations and would always frequent The Fisherman's Wife. Now that my daughter and her husband have a home just south of town, I'm in the area much more often, and more frequently here for the food. Great food, friendly service, and the interior decorations are unique. Friday nights are probably my favorite, since it's Fish Fry time. All you can eat, really delicious fish with all the trimmings. I should mention that this is a cash only place... but the prices are so reasonable that it doesn't take a wallet full of $. It almost makes it to 5 stars for me.

Quaint cafe for breakfast with takeout window for quick bites. Good breakfast options and wifi if you are a traveler.

We ate here twice during our stay. It was delicious food and great wait staff. It is a cute small local place. They make all the food and seafood is fresh off the boat. Chrissy the owner was great. She answered all our question as far as what to see and where to shop for seafood. Definitely wi il be back.

The owner of this lovely place is a lady named Christy. She has a bubbly personality and really knows how to run a fantastic shop. Food quality A+ off the beaten path atmosphere A+.. just a cool place to get a bite in this area. It is seasonal but that's to be understood with 5 degree weather during the winter months! Anyway, thought id leave my 2 cents :) enjoy!
