I really like this place.
Its small, but cozy. The lines on the weekend are long, but they move pretty quickly.
The food is fresh.
They make their own muffins and yogurt and have daily specials worth trying, such as pumpkin pancakes and omelets.
Service is always prompt. Meals are never late. Coffee is always hot.
Very likable place for breakfast...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 29, 2023
Take out breakfast order review:
Bacon, egg & cheese on a bulky roll
Soft, large roll. Egg overcooked a little. Would have liked a little oozy yolk. Two small pieces of bacon, could have had a third for the price.
Upon picking up- super cozy vibe happening here! The girls working were all young and pretty. They stocked me up for anything I would need doing takeout which I greatly appreciate. This would be a cute place for a small meet up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 4, 2023
Thankful we found this spot as we wanted to get breakfast before a long drive home from Boston. We thought we'd find somewhere outside the city with parking. Unfortunately, there was only street parking because the lots nearby were for specific business les only (completely empty lot but I didn't want to risk getting towed).
Pretty small inside but we were seated immediately on a Saturday around noon. The staff were very kind and attentive. My friends enjoyed their pancakes. My scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, toast, and potatoes all hit the spot, exactly what I needed! I'd probably go to this diner often if I lived in the area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 3, 20241 check-in
I have been to The Diner many times and have never had a bad meal. This place is small but works like a well oiled machine. There is always a line, we only waited 10 minutes, but they get you seated, get your order and get your food, and get you out of there, but not in a rushed kind of way but in a great breakfast joint way. I love breakfast and this place serves a great one. I ordered two eggs, scali toast, home fries and the homemade corned beef hash. Everything was cooked perfect. If you have never had homemade hash you need to come here, you will never eat that canned stuff again. The homemade hash is amazing, It's light and flavorful and worth a trip. The menu has so much to offer, my son loved his pancakes. I also got a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, which may have been the best OJ I have ever had. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

I really enjoyed this diner as the food is fresh and delicious...no nonsense. Good menu for breakfast brunch and lunch. Seems to have a good crowd of all sorts coming in. I enjoyed my egg sandwich and home fries. I sampled the buttermilk pancakes which were delicious too.
Ambiance is casual and supposed to be a very historical which I love. A nice local diner close to the city of Boston. staff was incredibly kind and the food was great! Parking was a hassel because online we read that there was a parking lot, buy open arrival we realized it was street parking right in front of the diner itself, or near a local condominium complex. the inside of the diner is quite small but thankfully we didn't have to wait long to be seated. I would definitely return!

Visiting Boston and wanted to try a small eatery. This has got to be the most friendly place in Watertown. Such a hometown feel. Everyone treated us with smiles. The food very good. But the best thing was pumpkin pancakes! This was a first for me. Spend your fall in Boston and all things pumpkin. The service at this diner was A1.

Delicious breakfast AND coffee! Stopped by on the way to Harvard square. Had exceptional service on this cute rainy day.
Restaurant was small but had an outdoor patio. Parking in the front and on the street made it super easy to arrive. Once we were seated, had some amazing brewed coffee. We ordered a brie omelette and pancakes. The breakfast here was so delicious and made the place feel very home-y.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2023
What a lovely diner experience! This is a great location although it's street parking so get ready to do a small search for a spot. There were some open seats even though it was a prime Friday brunch time. The waitstaff was quick and attentive. The coffee wasn't the best but pretty typical for a diner. The food came out quick and hot. It was delicious! Lots of good options and fun specials. The veggie omelette was packed with well-cooked veg and really nice potatoes and toast. The Nutella waffles were beautiful and decadent. We would have liked more Nutella on the waffles and more butter on the toast (more is better!) but we will definitely be coming back for more delicious breakfast.

Look a good local diner where people come for nourishment and community. During the week this place has a constant flow of locals, such as couples, workmen, contractors, et al. The staff is efficient, polite, and follow the script. Ask if you want coffee, the half-n-half and sweetener is in the caddy where you site. One couple leaves three guys sit down. If you don't scan the QR code a paper menu is brought. Older men enter and sit at the counter. You waitress come and asks if you're ready.
Your food flys out of the kitchen about 3 minutes before you want it. I'm not here during thee rush, but you can tell the kitchen is COOKING...
The music drones some guitars with a kind young man describing something that is nothing. Two women discuss life, family, and share there lives. The know the waitress by name and order their food.
I like my two-eggs sunny side up, home fries out of red bliss potatoes has those great little crisp dark bit. Yum! The breakfast sausage is standard. My coffee gets a refill, thank you. And the toast is perfect and they ask if buttering it was okay. Butter is love.
Post COVID, aIm glad this place survived and is still a really good diner. Enjoy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
