This place is so much different than it used to be. Very cold and windy. And Steve is nowhere to be found. Shameful. I still give it 5 stars because it used to be good, so why take away stars? I'm no thief.

Just went here for the first time recently and we got great service from the moment we walked in the door to when we left. Our server was really friendly and made sure we were taken care of at all times. The food was absolutely delicious. The wings were meaty, the nachos were great, and the sliders were awesome. They also have a great selection of beer.
Overall the experience was awesome. It's a shame I heard the place will be closing soon to be replaced with apartments. There's not many places with such outstanding service and great food. I recommend checking it out before it closes.

About as non-descript as it can get. Its a bar in Southie. Its not nice, but it isn't a total dive either.

I don't recall too much about this place other than it is the first stop on my fabulous Southie Pub crawl. Check out my lists.

Great dive bar with pretty cheap drinks and country music (at least when I was there). Friendly bartenders and management.

BONUS - They have battle of the sexes that you can play at your booth

Walked in last night with a group of about 30+ (mostly gay) people and were told they were not serving Samuel Adams because they pulled out of the 2014 Parade. Seems odd to say, "They don't support discrimination enough, so we pulled them from our taps" to a group of gay men.

So, we took our gay dollars down the street.

This place scares me a little. I watched a woman spend her entire welfare check on scratch tickets. Every five minutes she stumbled over with another $20 in hand...when do you just give up? My arrival was subject to not-so-welcoming stares from various patrons and those said stares continued as I quickly drank a Bud Light and decided to move on. I'm not made for this place, methinks.

Let me start by saying I am NOT superstitious. I like the steak there it is so good. I ordered it when I ate there. It was so good. The beer is so good too, but they don't make there own, its the same kind in the store, but the have almost any kind. They make their own steak. And it is cooked on the premesis. It's awesome. The crowd is taller then you'd expect, especially if you assumed it's mostly a 5' 7" crowd. I could care less. The workers aren't exactly giants but they are very friendly and charge you the correct amount even if you're buzzing a little. Plenty of leg room, and the chicken is so good.

Pretty sweet bar! Definitely low key and has a nice neighborhood feel. They also serve really good food which! A great place to go if you just want to have a drink or grab something to eat w/o the Boston crowds. The establishment is clean (not always the case with bars this old)...steps above a dice bar but nothing swanky. Located right outside of the Broadway T stop on the Red Line so you don't have to travel far. Lots of flannel shirts and country music but it's cool, lol...no awkward stares or anything. Check it out.

Recently, I've been pondering mortality; specifically, mine. I'm not quite sure what we are all doing here. I can only deduce meaning from my own experiences, the good the bad the ugly. Internally I seem to keep tally of these feelings. When I feel whole, complete, circular - that's the best. I can only imagine that is what the blessed afterlife beholds for me if I live a pious existence. After a day of work is completed, and a night of rest is needed, I'll setup my six foot ladder and ascend on to a graceful mount of my mattress nestled above my bathroom. This sky cave provides for the perfect setting to slip off into slumber. Right before I cross over into unconsciousness I have on many occasions wondered what it would be like to awake in a heaven.

For the 30 budgeted dollars I have to spend a week, my money says this nirvana can be found sitting on a stool at the corner of Cornerstones bar. A beautiful women seated next to you, you keep to yourself, private and special, yet amongst neighbors. You stand before the pumpkiny gates, confident in your past. There is a man that emerges, seemingly from a bright light, or a poof of parliament light smoke. He's welcoming, he's friendly, he's a buddy, his name IS BUDDY. He knowingly serves you a Shipyard Pumpkin head, toppling over its rim. Your night seems never ending, never wanting it to end, you basque in the righteous glow, intoxicated in the atmosphere. It's Sunday night and the work week couldn't feel more distant. There are ages between Monday morning and the present. There is never a line for the bathroom, and the hits just keep on cumming from a sacred jukebox. Before you know it you are escorted through the gates of eternity, forever having a home at Cornerstones.

Burger and Chili were ok. Fries (lukewarm, nothing special), grilled cheese (white bread, american cheese), and dessert (one option, and if tasted like it came from the frozen food section at the supermarket) were pretty bad. Menu was a bit misleading, indicating that fries came with chili and sandwich but they didn't really. No kids menu to speak of. Tattooed waitress was new and very sweet, which was the best thing about the place. Still, I won't go back.
