I have always gotten my hair done at the clip shop for as long as I can remember, and have always had a pleasant experience, until now. My son (3) was seen by Barbara recently and I am furious about the result. First of all, she was continuously barking at my son and was very impatient with him. She spent very little time working on his hair and we were in and out within 15 minutes. I showed her an inspo picture, and his hair looked nothing like it. I just brought him in for a trim, and she took off way more hair than we had asked and didn't follow the picture at all. His hair has some spots where it wasn't trimmed at all, and other spots where it was absolutely butchered with harsh straight lines that are VERY visible. I don't know how this lady did such a careless job. I am so annoyed that I spent $30 on a haircut for my 3 year old son that I will now have to go to another salon to get fixed. My 5 year old niece could have done a better job. It saddens me to have to leave such a poor review since there are so many stylists at the clip show that are wonderful, but we certainly did not get that experience this time. Needless to say I will not be bringing my son back to the Clip Shop for a while, and certainly will not be bringing him or anyone else in my family to Barbara. BE careful who you schedule an appointment with if you are going to the Clip Shop any time soon.

I've been coming to the clip shop for about 15 years, and for most of that I've had the same hair stylist, Nikki.
I've been to other salons and I've had good haircuts and bad but the Clip Shop is hands down the best! I live in California, yet I will always come back east to get my hair done here!
The staff is friendly and professional, and the shop very clean and always stocked with coffee.
Nikki is seriously the best, and always remembers what's been going on in my life and fills me in on what's new in the area. She always puts in the extra time to curl and style my hair after a cut so I leave looking extra awesome!
The pricing is also unbeatable! In California you can pay over $80 for a terrible haircut, not here, it's half that and you leave looking fresh and perfect!

Over Christmas she spent hours turning my head into a colorful unicorn masterpiece! I have never had so many compliments on my hair ever! Even now, over a month since she dyed my hair I still had two strangers tell me they loved my hair today. I cannot rave about Nikki and the Clip shop enough! I will never trust another salon and stylist they way I do here.

Omg I love it here! They're so sweet and amazing. My hair was a mess and they fixed it up just for $39. I was treated like a princess! I must go next time for a facial. I'm so in love with the environment! So many people were helpful and kind.

I went there for a gel manicure. The manicure was no where near a $33 manicure. Cuticles came out bad and coverage is uneven. They also charge $11 on top of the $33 to remove old gel which I have never been charged for...EVER. Granted they do list it in the brochure, it would have been nice if they offered up that information before I got the work done.

Came here for hair and makeup for a wedding - luckily we went for a trial run first! The makeup was so bad. So bad. I would give it zero stars if I could. My friend looked like a scary clown; I looked like a man. The makeup was so heavy, totally unblended, literally showed every pore. Just really awful and when I tried to tell the woman it was too heavy and looked odd she just went on and on about needing a dramatic look for a wedding. I really wanted to point out that I was getting married, not doing a nighttime show in Las Vegas!

Hair was ehh. It turned out ok only because I really insisted on her changing it after she had "finished." She had no natural sense of what looked good on me. My friend's up-do looked ok but started to fall down within a hour - how on earth would that work for multiple hours of dancing?

Obviously I don't recommend this place but if you must use them please do a trial run first to save yourself heartache on your wedding day.

I went here to get my hair done for prom years ago. I was pleased with that experience, so I figured, why not come here to get my hair cut too? But after doing that once or twice, I realized that it's just too darn expensive. $31 for them to cut and dry your hair, then $15 more if you want them to flat iron it. And then the tip...

And I guess it would be worth that much if they did a good job. The last time I ever went there, my stylist cut my hair completely unevenly. It was shorter in the back than it was on the sides, which I didn't notice until I got home. Needless to say, I had to go get another haircut. Since then, I've been to salons elsewhere that do a much better job for cheaper.

I have been going to this salon for over 5 years now and have never had a problem. I have only had one hair stylist, Andrea, and she is phenomenal. I recently cut off almost TWO FEET, donated it and had her style my hair in a pixie-type cut. She made me feel just as beautiful and confident as I had with my lifelong, almost waist-long hair. She also shapes my eyebrows, which I get compliments on constantly. I cannot attest to the work of any other employees but I highly recommend Andrea to everyone.

I recently went to The Clip Shop in Pittsfield for my wedding. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. Every stylist was extremely professional and accomodating to my large wedding party and all of our needs. One of my girls smudged her nails while opening a bottle of champagne and they were so sweet about fixing it. I had 10 bridesmaids and every one of them was in love with their hair and makeup. We are not easily impressed but we were absolutely impressed by all the staff and their talent. I would definitely tell anyone who is getting married in the Berkshires to check out The Clip Shop!
