I tried to call to book an appointment based on the reviews. They must be out of service because the phone was disconnected. Don't understand why the company is still on Yelp if that's the case.

      They fixed me shoulder! :-)

This is my go-to physical therapist... three times in the last few years I've needed repair (once for my shoulder, once for my knee, and now again for my shoulder-- yes, I am totally falling apart)... Deborah Denio is my doctor and she is brilliant. She knows what she's doing when it comes to the body and always guides me through exercises that aren't difficult or painful, but promote healing and get the job done.

Here's the thing: I went to another PT, who shall not be named but is in West Hollywood across from Pinkberry, and I was seriously underwhelmed. The other guy treated me like most doctors: I had a few minutes with him at the beginning of my appointment, then he handed me off to his assistant (who wasn't particularly on the ball), and the assistant guided me through the exercises that the doctor wanted me to do. When I had questions, the assistant had to run and ask the doctor (who was already busy with his next patient). It was kind of a mess and wasn't worth the cost for what amounted to only a few minutes of personal attention and, I believe, not very high-quality care.

Dr. Denio, on the other hand, spends the entire hour with me one-on-one. She does a lot of "manual therapy" (intense, hands-on massage), as well as icing my shoulder, doing work in the big exercise room (see my photos I uploaded!) and just generally lavishes attention on my shoulder for the full hour to help be sure I'm getting the best treatment possible. :-)

Bottom line, Dr. D is terrific at her job and this facility is great. Add on the fact that the folks at the front desk are also great and a pleasure to work with (when it comes to things like sorting out insurance, you need to have some smart people at the wheel, you know what I mean?), and you can see why I don't hesitate to recommend the Center.

I have experienced professional physical therapy at the hands of a multitude of therapy clinics over my nearly sixty-seven (67) years on this beautiful planet but, without a doubt, none better than I experienced at the Center for Physical Health. Marc, Rick, Lindsay, and Melissa worked their magic to ensure that my many sessions with them were the very best I ever had or could imagine. Each one of them truly bless those of us fortunate enough to come within their caring hearts and immense talents. It is immeasurably refreshing to experience professionals such as these that, with sincere smiles and pleasant dispositions, make sure your road to recovery is laced with positive and meaningful thoughts as well as encouraging words. All of them sincerely endeavor to help you help yourself toward the very best recovery possible. Lastly, the front office staff consisting of Dana, Diane, and Beka are equally blessed with the most well-intentioned dispositions and desire to accommodate "their" patients at all costs. Thank you one and all for being there for me and all of your patient/client base. Blessings and much love, bobby mac

The Center for Physical Health offers Individual therapy targeted to those things that are ailing the patient. It's an intense boutique treatment designed to get relief--not just for the moment. They give post-session home care advice to help you to help yourself. Marc Pierre is the therapist I see there and I can't say enough wonderful things about his treatments, knowledge and kindness. The front office staff are fab, too! Don't go here if you prefer to sit in a bullpen with others who ache.

Final note: Johnny and Deborah are excellent On site, one-on-one Pilates instructors! I have purchased a Pilates Package (they have Yoga and Feldenkrais too) and have benefitted! Love itt!

      Full service place!

This place has been very helpful for my chronic back and neck pain. They have Feldenkrais practitioners that have lots of experience with patients who suffer from autoimmune disorders or chronic pain. The way it works is that you have an initial appointment with one of the physical therapists. They will assess your needs and suggest physical therapy that focuses on traditional modalities (PT exercises), Feldenkrais, pilates, and/or massage therapy. It was great to be able to receive treatment that was not limited to typical physical therapy exercises.

I worked mostly with Jessica Zarins and Bridget Quebodeaux. They have been very attentive, thorough, and compassionate. I appreciate that all sessions are one on one. We would discuss my movement patterns, they would introduce me to alternative possibilities of movement, and address my pain etc. I often walked into our session with sharp pain in my back and leave our sessions with lots of pain reduction. It has been such a joy working with them.

The staff are also very efficient and friendly. There's plenty of street parking (free and paid) near the office. They are also open on Saturdays.

If you've tried traditional physical therapy and many things for your chronic pain but haven't tried Feldenkrais, I would highly recommend Center for Physical Health.

Marc at the Center for Physical Health has changed my life! I will always count him as one of the greatest blessings I've ever received. During my rehabilitation from a completely debilitating snowboarding accident- a process that took almost 3 years, and started with me in a wheelchair- he provided the kind of care every person who has had a traumatic accident wishes for. Kind, gentle, with a great sense of humor, Marc is a tremendous healer. The amount of energy and attention he puts into his work is incredible. My injuries were complex and difficult to heal. He just kept unraveling the puzzle bit by bit, and never gave up. I had to relearn how to use both of my hands from scratch, along with relearning how to walk. I also has a distorted spine from years of a compensation and a limp. He helped break up all the scar tissue and muscle adhesions, along with doing gait analysis so we could identify where body was still twisting/compensating to fix my walk. He also removed all of the scar tissue between all of my ribs and out of my shoulder socket, which had been severely damaged during the accident.
He communicated with all of my other health practitioners, which was really helpful to coordinate care. Over the several years we have worked together to put me back together again, there were moments of great challenge. He let me cry, helped me feel safe, and helped give me courage to keep going.
Today I can walk for 2 hours at a time, and just did my first aerobics class last Sunday. I have a normal life and can do almost everything a normal person can. I am so lucky to have found him and to have had the center as part of my healing process. And
All of the people at the center are also so kind and sweet! They really care about their patients. I cannot recommend them enough. Go here!!!!;)

After approximately 7 months as a client at the Center for Physical Health I give it 5 stars and the highest praise. I am grateful to have found this place with practitioners of such quality and kindness. I have worked with Marc, Johnny and Harrison and found each to be a person of high integrity, commitment to healing and full of wisdom. It's the first place I've found where I feel trusting and safe in their hands. I plan to continue working with them and have had good results, feeling stronger and my pain has greatly improved along with increased mobility. -Suzanne B

I chose to go to the Center for Physical Health as a result of reading the overwhelmingly positive comments that people had written on Yelp, so I had very high expectations even before going. My expectations were exceeded in virtually every way! Because I have a very rare autoimmune system disease (MMN) in which my peripheral nerve system does not send proper messaging to my muscles thus affecting strength, gait and balance, I met with Marc Pierre, the owner and chief physical therapist, seeking his suggestions for an alternative method of physical therapy, as the last several years of physical therapy proved to be only minimally useful. I found Marc to be an excellent listener, very insightful and thorough (so thorough that he had me return a few hours later in the day to finish the initial meeting and diagnosis, as one hour was not sufficient.) His demeanor was one of genuine concern and optimism that Feldenkrais treatment and, perhaps, cranio-sacral treatment might be useful for my condition.
Unfortunately, the cranio-sacral therapist left the practice to return to Germany, but I continued with the Feldenkrais specialist, Bridget Quebodeaux, for about 12 weeks. Bridget is an extraordinary person, both as a most competent and effective therapist and, reflecting the value system and culture of the Center, as a caring, sensitive, supportive, communicative, helpful human being. (In fact, everyone I encountered at the Center reflected that set of values and behaviors, communicating a genuinely therapeutic, humanistic climate, a culture that I feel certain emanates from Marc's leadership and personal style.)

Through Feldenkrais, I am more mindful of my movement options and choices and my ability to reduce tendencies to move in inefficient, more rigid articulations (a result of compensatory, "protective" movement.) Bridget was particularly adept at both "hands-on" treatment and suggesting assignments to do at home. Her clarity in explaining the theories and her encouragement and support was an outstanding part of her treatment. She was, in a word,
sensational in her knowledge and skills.

I think that what makes the Center for Physical Health stand out from other centers for physical therapy is their unwavering commitment to deliver a variety of excellent methods; a very thorough introductory and diagnostic process and treatment plan; and a sense that the entire staff is committed to your well-being and will do whatever it takes, in terms of time, attention and competent delivery of services, to improve their clients' health.

      I wholeheartedly recommend the Center.

      Theodore Gerstl, Ph.D.

The staff at Center for Physical Health is amazing - so professional, and they display a level of great caring. Unlike many PT centers, they have private treatment rooms, and even when you're out in the large classroom working on exercises, etc., you never feel that it's a "mill" - with bunches of people all doing exercised that are only minimally supervised by the therapists. Exercise room is big, light and airy and has all the equipment you could want. Very highly recommended them. Johnny and Cathy Sweetman are amazing instructors, too!!!!

The Center for Physical Health is deserving of all the accolades. I went there for lower back problems & have been going weekly for a couple of months, alternating between three therapies: Feldenkrais (which I was skeptical about but after the first session was instantly a true believer), deep tissue massage, & yoga/pilates exercise. All the therapists I've worked with are truly professional & amazingly gifted in their respective fields of expertise. I feel like I am getting the best possible care & making very good progress. I was not expecting to be so impressed. Highly, highly recommended.
