Found this spot through a Yelp search. Nice place with a cute outdoor area. Pies were fantastic and hearty.

Venture to this little pub after checking into our hotel. We had their moo and ranger meat pies with beer and lemonade. It was pretty good and quite tasty. The atmosphere with the locals are definitely fun and super dog friendly.

Had the Pie on a later night. Wow, just wow. They may be Piemaster pies (I think) but are nowhere near the supermarket quality. Just so good (I had the Chicken and Ham Hock and two others had the Venison and Steak and Stilton). All were amazing.

And the woman at the bar brought our beer orders to the table as the pub was so full. Wow, thank you for the first person in London for offering that. I've had some great service at pubs, but she just was top notch.

Go hear. Wonderfully cozy place, great mix of people, wonderful service, and a proper pie and mash shop. What's not to love?

Closest pub to my flat, and it's a cozy one tucked behind the Children's Museum. Wallpaper of big ol' roses raining down, and there are fresh roses on each of the tables.

Beer selection has nice variation in the bottles, and they have Lagunitas IPA on tap, along with another American-style IPA, at least on the night I was there.

They're known for their steamy hot pies, served with peas and mash for £9.95!

I'm an American so any pie that's not apple-flavored is immediately suspicious. Throw meat into the mix, and I'm just not sure what you're up to.

I walked into this joint during the Christmas season and ordered a Moo Pie. Wasn't sure what that nonsense was, but a woman's got to eat.

Well I ate the Moo Pie, and while I'm assuming it was beef, it honestly could have been cat or dog or human and I wouldn't have cared because that pie was the best damn meal I've ever had, and I WILL EAT IT AGAIN SHALL I RETURN TO THIS BLESSED LAND OF MY FOREFATHERS.

Eat the Moo Pie. Drink the cider. Pretend like it's the 1700s or whatever because it's a cool, old pub. ENJOY.

You would probably walk right past this pub if you did not read this. Well if you like good classic gastro grub instead of walking by you must pay this place a visit.

Camel is known for its superb pies. It features such handmade gourmet pies as steak and chorizo or wild mushroom and asparagus. Deliciously served with buttery and creamy mash potato and minty mushy peas - absolutely incredible! The pies are free range and fresh, they are made and cooked on the day and really do taste of the good home cooking quality.

They also serve a good choice of ales and a really good inexpensive choice of wines.

The service is great, the place is small but cozy and the music is like old time jazz which fits the mood. Great pies, this place is a real find.

Our travels started in London as did our food adventures in Europe. For our first meal on day one, we were all starving from long plane and subway rides so we searched for a local watering hole within walking distance from the flat we were staying at.

The Camel came up for its status as a neighbourhood pub specializing in pot pies. I ordered the steak and chorizo pot pie served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and peas. It was delicious and filling with great texture, flavour, and well-cooked.

We washed down our pies with some local pints of beer including an IPA brewed down the street, ginger beer, and a German lager. I enjoyed the basic English lunch and staple.

Posh Pie and Mash has arrived, without leaving a serious dent in your wallet! £8.95 buys you a super size plate of food comprising of pie, mash, minty mushy peas and a gravy boat to boot. It's pie only with a great selection from the classic steak and kidney to goat's cheese and spinach. It's a small, warm and welcoming pub, with the smell of the buttery pies always leaving me salivating.

There is a simplicity to the brown exterior tiles, an etched Camel mirror and archive shots prompt a mindful retrospective, while dark wallpaper with red roses and bronze spherical lampshades create a modish retro interior thanks to some recent refurbishment. The booze (Adnams and some continentals on draught, premium spirits and a decent chardonnay). A library of bizarre book titles and well fingered games sweetly descend on your Sunday downtime like a cosy knitted jumper.

This was a pleasant surprise. The meat pies were delicious! We had one beef and one chicken. No complaints at our table. Nice staff and crowd. Would definitely go back!
